“Bob Boudreau and I were in NOLA for 9 nights. Three of the nights we had reservations at other places with family. Our 1st night we looked up and found Jewel of the South. We loved it so much. we asked our nephew, his medical school advisor and his wife to join us. All three lived in NOLA and had never been here. All 5 of us would definitely go back in a heart beat. Great food. Great atmosphere. Great drinks. Great staff. GREAT ALL AROUND! FIVE STARS for Jewel of the South.“

“I do not have the words to do this place justice. The interior is lovely and very fitting for the French Quarter but the patio is the best! The food is so delicious that I would be happy to eat every meal there. The attentiveness of the staff was incredible - they know their menu (bar and kitchen) and make great suggestions based on what you like not what they are trying to "move".“

“Incredible experience at Bar Marilou! Highly recommend. The ambience was great, the drinks spectacular but Hunter made the evening. Great personality and recommendations. We tried a variety of drinks and all were delicious, balanced and refreshing. If you're looking for a great experience, find this bar and ask for Hunter!“

“I forgot to finish my review and post it. My husband and I were in NOLA for the first time, we were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary, in August 2023. I have a gluten allergy and it was difficult to find authentic NOLA food that was gluten free. I am so glad I found Atchafalaya Restaurant!! The food was absolutely fantastic and they had several gluten free options! Our waitress was amazing. The restaurant was very cute inside and had a lot more seating than it looked like from the outside.“

“The food was so tasty, as always! Bosco had a very cheerful and cheeky personality that made ordering a fun moment. The service was wonderful; my water glass was never empty. The music was also so lovely and we came at a time where it wasn’t too crowded. All in all, it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience!“

“Late review but I went here last year after wanting to visit for a long time. Definitely worth it. Been a long time fan and this place is worth the hype, I also recommend grabbing a cook book from 'em. It's the better than the Bible.“

“What an awesome gem that we found on the way to the Jazz Fest. Located in Mid-City, the building and the restaurant has been around for a long time. We arrived at 10:30am and had a yummy roast beef & gravy po boy on the best bread I have ever had on a sandwich!! The venue is set up for community and it was clear that all are welcome. Even in the morning, the staff was friendly and inviting and the locals and tourists were coming by for great food, drinks, and a good time.“

“It’s been a while since we visited Plume, but we have always had SUCH a great experience! The food is delicious - my favs include the fried chicken and the naan. If you can’t eat in, the food travels/delivers very well to your house and is still very yummy!“

“Had the most divine time and the staff was amazing. I got to know the owner's children who are amazing young men. They were very welcoming and informative about the history of the restaurant. Had the red snapper with rice and the veggie tray with injera bread. Gonna use my leftover injera for twist-on crepes in the morning.“

“Located in a small corner store, you order up front and then wait in one of the narrow isles of snacks while your food is being prepared. A pirate walked out of the store and recommended literally every item on the menu to us. He may be right cuz all the po boys we tried were great. The Shrimp Philly sounded like an abomination so intrigueing I couldn't resist. And glad I didn't. Somehow it worked and I'm not questioning it. The traditional fried shrimp Poboy was also great. If you love small corner store/bodega style delis then absolutely try this place. If you're afraid of a little dirt or grease like some of our friends that tried this place with us, then maybe think twice, even though I think the food is more than worth it.“

“Above all, you MUST order the seared scallops and artichoke appetizer. Fan-freaking-tactic! The Black Manhattan is excellent — except is was stirred long enough so it was nearly lukewarm when brought to the table. Great flavor, but disappointed at how warm it was. (An extra point for Luxardo cherries. Seriously. How can a restaurant claim they serve cocktails if they don’t use Luxardo cherries????)“

“Good food and inexpensive In the garden district. I had the loaded tots and smash burger both were very good. Probably the best hamburger I’ve had in New Orleans. My friend had the Caprese sandwich and pork grinds she also enjoyed her meal. Great spot to grab a bite to eat. Not a lot on the menu but what they do have on there they know how to cook it.“
“Stopped infor the first time yesterday and couldn't believe what I have been missing! I had the BEST Bloody Mary I've had in years, and the frozen concoction they were serving tasted like heaven. We will definitely be making this a regular stop.“

“As soon as you walk through the door, you begin to understand that Thaihey has true heart and is all about the love of food, staff and guests. When we took a bite of our first appetizer, the small plate okra with secret spices, our feelings were confirmed: this is a special restaurant. Thaihey excels from the front of the house (Misty, Greg and Nate) to the kitchen (Chef Yimchalam). Chef creates magical Thai fusion dishes in a small, four burner kitchen with authentic Thai ingredients enhanced by locally sourced ingredients. Thank you for this truly amazing experience!“

“We went yesterday and the wait was 2 hours. Got there a little earlier today and we got in. I’ve eaten at the Uptown location and was so happy they opened up another one that’s closer. It was my daughter’s first time and she said the food is so good and understands why there is a wait.“

“Food portions were good for the price. Got the trio cheese dip and guac were good, the salsa was ok but had kind of an odd taste. The beef burrito ingredients weren't mixed that well. First 1/3 was too much meat and dry tasting. Middle was good, them the last bit was 90% beans. Service was ok. Kind of slow to come back to my table and rarely checked in. But once I ordered the food came out quickly.“
