We were told they have a new chef, well done chef absolutely every was on point! Make reservations to secure outdoor seating and enjoy!“

“My first time trying Southside Café after passing it a thousand times, and after reviewing the reviews, I had to try. Sure enough, I see why everyone is ecstatic about Southside Café. This place is Phenomenal!! I had the Ribeye Philly and it was Spot On, and it was so tender. My wife had the Chicken Parmesan and said it was prepared perfectly. The staff was friendly and fast and the restaurant was really clean. However, be prepared to wait a while because on a Saturday night it was very busy & by the way, the Menu Selection of food and beverages is nearly endless. Now the Price. In today's world of high prices, I was surprised to see that Southside Cafe was able to keep their prices very affordable. This is definitely a restaurant I will be going back to again in the near future. Y'all check them out and see what you think.“

“Wow this place was great!! We were driving cross country on I10 and randomly took the exit nearby. A little search online lead us to T Leblanc's. We split the half Muffaletta and paired it with a cup of corn and crab chowder. Finished with their lemon merengue pie. Wow everything was fabulous. The dining room was clean and comfortable with a casual vibe. The service was great too. Definitely take a few minutes to find this place sometime!!“

“This is a pretty cool layed back gem. Anna my server was chill talkative and a true delight to be around. I had an old fashion which was great the only down side was not using real maraschino cherries. The atmosphere is great beautifully designed with a grand alcohol collection. And three little food that I had was good as well.“

“Our first time there. I had the fried catfish and the wife the shrimp Poboy, and they were delicious. Sabrina was our server. She was knowledgeable, and took care of us. We are definitely coming back…A+ all the way…btw, don’t judge the place from the outside. Plenty of good food inside.“

“We went there to experience the old time ice cream shop and they had a huge collections of ice cream scoops. It was so enjoyable to sit there, eat your ice cream and enjoy the surroundings. It was quite pleasant. I totally enjoyed my visit there and would recommend everyone to check it out!“

The steaks speak for themselves and it's not like other steakhouses that hide the flaws in the meet with tons of seasoning. There's some vegetables as sides, if your that concern about vegetables, you missed the point but the vegetables are delicious and well seasoned.Kid-friendliness: I end up eating my kids chicken tenders from time to time, they're delicious. “After being assigned a rude waitress (didn’t catch her name) who was inattentive and went out of her way to make us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome, we politely requested a different server. As we were being moved to a new section, the waitress looked over and snickered at us. We got a tall gentleman who was recently promoted which he obviously deserved. He made our experience amazing. We even shared my son’s birthday cake with him and left a generous tip. To the other server please work on your poor nasty attitude or find a different occupation. “Absolutely fabulous! The fried pickles are the best in Slidell and the roast beef po-boy was fabulous, juicy, messy, and so delicious! The new owners are just as wonderful as the previous owner, kind, gracious and they are locals. We will be back, again and again!!!“

“Cash only! Maps says they accept credit cards but when I went to pay my tab I was told cash only. There are two atm's across from the bar. Food was good. Had a BLT with Cajun fries. The Cajun fries were delicious. BLT was on point taste wise but I ordered extra bacon and the amount on my sandwich seemed average. Service was good overall. Not sure my receipt was right though. There were 4 items on the receipt when I only had 3 (entree with no plus ups and two cokes). Atmosphere is great. Very nautical bar with large patio on the water. Smoking is only allowed outside.“

“We went through the drive thru. We had never ate here before and through the dt the ladies on duty answered our questions quickly and correctly. They have a special sauce and they were able to communicate with us if it was for us without giving up any secrets. Thanks for everything. We will be back in the future.“

“Took my love out to eat on our day off. We always get the crawfish pepper jack bisque for an appetizer ,she got the hamburger steak cooked medium well, and I got the jazzy barbecue chicken club dressed and added sautéed onions and mushrooms to it as well. The food was spectacular as was the service. Had a train go by at about 70 mph while we were there heading south, the noise was exhilarating and the whole place shook! LOVED IT! We will certainly be back and we'll bring friends.“

“Have been wanting to try this place ever since I moved to Slidell a few years ago. Recently I passed and saw a “Steak Night Thursday” banner up and thought, this is my chance! Who doesn’t like a good steak? I had not realized that KY was Kevin Young of Young’s Steakhouse. My bad. He introduced himself as “the good looking brother” and won my heart immediately with his warmth and good nature. But then came the STEAK and Oh. My. Lord. The photos cannot do it Justice. A 14 Oz trimmed, perfectly cooked rib eye with fully loaded baked potato and salad. $35. And the BEST steak I’ve had since I don’t know when. Highly recommend this Slidell institution for its rich history, fabulous location in OldeTowne, charming owner and on-point food, cooked to perfection.“

“This place used to be run down. It is much cleaner and 8 like the guy who works the front. The young kids don't care (who did at that age lol) the older guy with the black hair makes me laugh every time I go in. The donuts are great and they have a great selection. I say you should give them a shot.“

“You know, the service was really great. I’ve been to a lot of hooters all over the country and it’s very hit and miss but all the girls were super friendly, they smiled. They were polite. “Only 4 on the atmosphere because, no matter which House you go to, there is always that one employee that insists on loudly banging the dishes when they clean them. They apparently have no idea that their banging fills the entire space making, for ever how long it takes to clean what they are washing, a very unpleasant dining experience.Everything else is fine. The food, the wait staff, the clean tables....but the banging... terrible.“

“Our server Tayja was awesome and deserves recognition. She made sure we had what we needed. Food came out fast and was delicious and hot. Coffee was on point. The restaurant was clean and the atmosphere was very welcoming. First time there and I live less than 5 mins away. “Home style cafe vibes Menu was vast from salads to seafood. I chose the Catfish and Shrimp plate. Filet was a very big portion and the shrimp were definitely jumbo I got side of veggies and this was not what I expected. Chargrilled and full of flavors! As for the Mac-n-Cheese, get it if you love cheese. I do and I will say it's worth it. I'm almost positive there were 42 1/2 layers of cheese and noodle. Delish! My only knock, tarter did not taste homemade and I'm a stickler for dips/dressing being bought. Mainly because I know how simple it is to just make them. It could be homemade but I didn't get that. Otherwise, the cocktail sauce tasted homemade. Different vibe than usual. More of a chunky salsa consistency with some heat. Wasn't mad about it. Overall would I go back. Yes. Would I get the same dish, heck yes. I want to try a salad next. The staff said they are really good. Better be NOT store bought dressing though“

“We had a great Easter Brunch with our family after church. The service was exceptional and all of the food was fantastic as usual. Our waitress was wonderful. How she kept up with our complicated order plus extras was amazing. Five of us ate for under $55 excluding the tip. Of course we left a nice tip commensurate with our enjoyment and the holiday. “Irish Special Menu ??☘️•Coté / Maple Room in Olde Towne Slidell never disappoints us. Normally we are here for wing night or steak night; but anytime they do the Irish menu, we are PRESENT! For those who aren't familiar, Coté is the restaurant side and Maple Room is the bar side. They share some menu items but I believe they also have their own set menu. Always delish either way!•The eggs on top of each dish wee so creamy and fluffy. The corned beef was perfectly cooked. The fried under the corned beef were the same as the fries from their normal menus, which we love. Jeremy and the crew do a fine job every day and I highly recommend checking out this gem in OTS!“

“I had lunch here , me , a girlfriend of mine and couple other gentlemen. It was her birthday and so, I informed the hostess as well as our waitress that today was her birthday and asked if they would sing happy birthday to her. Both said that they don't do that anymore, sorry and that she couldn't even have a free dessert or a piece of pie or just acknowledge her that today was her birthday to make her feel special and so nothing. “Every time I drive out of New Orleans I have to stop at this diner. The food is not complicated, the tastes are so fresh, and it's not over priced at all. I recommend their French toast, biscuits, and cheesy eggs, along with their omelets. If you're going to visit New Orleans you should stop on your way in and out.“

“This week alone I’ve ordered fromCopeland’s/Slidell twice for my family of 4 and I must say money well spent. I ordered to go both times, once during the week where I pickup my order up and the second time today Saturday5-4-24 I had it delivered. Well the order was delivered and it wasn’t presentable like before. I called up and spoke to the manager whose name Michael and he was ready to hear my complaint. After hearing what I had to say about my order he offered me two option without question and I can tell that Michael believed that my order should have been made with care and not carelessness. Some people would have taken option A but because I feel like Michael and Copeland’s usually get it right the first time so I choose option B which was a remake of our entire order. I arrived to the restaurant to pickup my order and it was hot and ready. Michael came and greeted me plus he made sure I was satisfied and he offered an apology for my first order and I really did appreciate him for coming out during that busy time in the restaurant. I brought my first order back to the restaurant but I was allowed to keep it. I did not include what was wrong with my order in this review because it’s not necessary because when it’s busy, mistakes can happen easily. you so very much.Parking: Great lighting at night and spacious. Vehicles with trailers attached could find parking further in the back but I believed it’s much lighting pass the Coplands restaurant.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a large ramp with awning to protect you from rain at the front door.“
