“This is a pretty cool layed back gem. Anna my server was chill talkative and a true delight to be around. I had an old fashion which was great the only down side was not using real maraschino cherries. The atmosphere is great beautifully designed with a grand alcohol collection. And three little food that I had was good as well.“

“I would like to give a big thanks and appreciation to Mr. Shayne. I came to Louisiana from Florida to bury my baby brother during memorial holiday. After the service I was down in the dump and needed a drink. He noticed I was not in good spirits and treated me well beyond what was deserved. This man deserves a part ownership. My loyalty is with kapps daiquiri and I have sent so many people their that now because of him I will tell my fb Louisiana group about coming here during the weekends. His service was excellent with every customer that walked in and very professional. Thank you Shayne for your hard work and dedication to Louisiana.“

“The food is always great. I really like the music and atmosphere. This is our go-to restaurant when we want Mexican food. The staff is prompt and pleasant . We have been regulars at the Pontchartrain location since it opened. And I have never been disappointed.“

“Drinks are strong and good. Bar service is quick and friendly. Popular place, always busy on going out nights. They have huge garage door type windows that open up to the street. Good for cool nights. Saturday nights, they have quality bands that play from 10:00-1:00. Only drawback....no food but still an awesome bar.“

“Went in for my spouse's bday just for a little fun while visiting parents and right when we walked in, both bartenders (I wish I could remember their names!) were super nice and sweet. Helped us get a table, came around frequently to see if we needed anything else, and made us feel welcomed and accepted. Definitely going to tell anyone I can to go here!“

“Don't think they have food, but there are plenty of places to pick something up around the bar. Laid back place to play pinball or old school video games and have a few drinks. No trip to Old Town is complete without spending a few quarters here.“

“Cash only! Maps says they accept credit cards but when I went to pay my tab I was told cash only. There are two atm's across from the bar. Food was good. Had a BLT with Cajun fries. The Cajun fries were delicious. BLT was on point taste wise but I ordered extra bacon and the amount on my sandwich seemed average. Service was good overall. Not sure my receipt was right though. There were 4 items on the receipt when I only had 3 (entree with no plus ups and two cokes). Atmosphere is great. Very nautical bar with large patio on the water. Smoking is only allowed outside.“

“Took my love out to eat on our day off. We always get the crawfish pepper jack bisque for an appetizer ,she got the hamburger steak cooked medium well, and I got the jazzy barbecue chicken club dressed and added sautéed onions and mushrooms to it as well. The food was spectacular as was the service. Had a train go by at about 70 mph while we were there heading south, the noise was exhilarating and the whole place shook! LOVED IT! We will certainly be back and we'll bring friends.“

“The food is great, I'm always trying to get a spot on the balcony. Being a transplant from New Orleans, it's nice to have a piece of home right in the middle of slidell on the bustling Gause Ave. My favorite is the soft shell poboy. I can't pass up a good sandwich. Not to mention, the menu is packed with flavor. Great bar, good prices, and gorgeous views.“

Ceji was her name I believe, and she was readily available whenever we needed something, but also made us feel overly welcome. We enjoyed the conversation and her friendly smile!
