“My husband, son, and I flew in from Florida. We were DYING for Boston Chinese Food. The Chinese food in Florida is pretty mid at best. My normal haunt had closed down a few years ago. (We moved to Gainesville, FL in 2019.) We found this place on the last minute.I'M SO HAPPY WE DID!!The food was everything we needed, and more. The ambience was outstanding. The service was top tier. The restaurant is classy and clean. We ordered sooooo much food. Everything was so fresh, and clearly hand made.We ordered the Hong Kong Sampler, Sweet and Sour Chicken, hot and sour soup, scallion pancake, chicken Chow Mein, egg rolls, fried shrimp, pork and shrimp fried rice. (I told you we ordered a lot.) When my husband bit into an egg roll, let's just say, I only see that expression during one other activity. The guy was in Heaven.Everything was served family style. It was hot, and fresh. Super flavorful. The portions were satisfying. We definitely had leftovers. The price was fair. This place is our new go to when we come home.Kid-friendliness: The server put up with my moody teenager like a pro.“
“Yummy yummy in my tummy! ?Our dine in order of broccoli chicken, shrimp fried rice (you’re telling me a shrimp fried this rice?), and orange chicken was amazing! Note they only have 1 dine in table and no bathroom. Also the yellowish sauce is spicy, be careful! “

“We were a party of four and a baby and we enjoyed this restaurant so much. We were pleasantly surprised by the restaurant's ability to accommodate a vegetarian, a gluten-free person and a non-soup eater who loves spicy foods -we absolutely loved the broth that we ordered a vegetarian mushroom soup with lots of flavor and depth, and the other one was a for chili peppers spicy broth, which I forgot the name of. The combo was delicious with the vegetables and the meat and the shrimp even loved the mango smoothie, there's nothing about this meal. I didn't love my husband who is eater was eating the spicy soup like there's no tomorrow the service was exceptional. I wish I remember the name of our waiter, but he was super accommodating and pointed out the glutenous items to us and was able to, keep on top of the service. Highly recommended in every single way.“

“The best dumplings I’ve ever had. My friend and I ordered seafood dumplings and we enjoyed it. We also had pork soup dumplings which was quite decent too. I recommend trying Dumpling House for the best food options if you’re in Cambridge area.“

“Visiting Jiang Nan in Boston was a truly delightful dining experience! The Peking Duck and dumplings were especially impressive, both exceptionally delicious and memorable. The service at the restaurant was excellent as well, with professional and friendly staff. The location is also very convenient, situated near the Ritz Carlton, making it a perfect spot for enjoying a fine Chinese meal with family or friends. Highly recommend to all lovers of Chinese cuisine!“

“This was a lovely place to eat with good appetizers and mains and great service. I only give it a 4 stars because some of the mains lacked the flavors I wished to see.I like that the thai tea isnt too milky, they were delicious. The shumai and gyoza were very good. We tried a number of the mains- the spicy fried rice, the “fat kid at heart”, drunken noodles, etc. I wish my noodle dish was a bit more flavorful and the drunken noodles were not spicy, which is unusual as its a spicy dish. I think they should at least offer the option to make it spicier. However, everything tasted fresh and I appreciated some of the authenticity. The staff were accommodating and the guy serving us (wish i caught his name) was cheerful and helpful. We sat outside and its perfect on a nice day.Vegetarian options: They have delicious veggie options that are clearly labeled“

“Quite enjoyable dinner, and just a tad over $20pp. 4.5 stars. Went as a party of 5 and split scallion pancakes (decent), Mulan fish (ehh, a little fishy and not salty/complex enough), a noodle dish, beef with mustard greens (great), and salt and pepper pork (great). We ordered 3 bowls of rice and food was enough to be filling for all, no leftovers. Service was prompt and food came quickly. The restaurant filled up more towards end of our meal (6 pm ish).“

“I recently found this place and absolutely love it! I’ve been eating hot pot across different states, and this spot has quickly become one of my favorites. One thing to note, though, is that the chili powder doesn’t quite taste like the Sichuan powder I’m accustomed to, but it’s still “

“When I was a young teen 2 decades ago, living on allowances, this was the spot I hit up. I think at the time the combo was like $2.50 or something and I’ve never seen a line there. I use to go strictly for curry chicken with white rice. It was never the best curry, but it hits the spot on a tight budget. Today, I had an urge to pick up some pork bao to eat omw home, so I stoped by Chinatown to hit up bao bao bakery. At the corner of my eyes, I peeped Ding Ho and nostalgia rushed into my bones. As I approach the dinged up spot waiting in line outside the restaurant, I can’t help but wonder how much more expensive would it be now versus 20 years ago, considering inflation. My goodness… $6 for 2 side combo. WHAAAT? 2024. And it’s $6. I ended up with two sides of protein, 3 spring rolls and 1 Peking ravioli…. THATS $9.50. Hands down the best place to go in this economy. I don’t even care about the flavor. I got seasoning at home that can fix it up.(I ate a spring roll omw home)“

“I've been to all the Boston locations and this is my absolute favorite location. My boyfriend and I try to get in once a week when we can. Every time we go the staff are so cute and friendly. We always get the split pot as I am obsessed with the tomato broth and he is obsessed with the spicy broth. The beef is beefin'. We get a minimum of 4 plates of beef to start. So much beefy goodness in those really thin slices. You get a variety of veggies and proteins from the buffet line. When we eat at a different hot pot place I feel like I am betraying happy lamb. This location is the best.“

“A hole in the wall place that is at the edge of Chinatown but easy to miss. I passed by this place so many times but finally got to try it. It's a small place inside with a pretty long menu. We ordered the next size up of a clay pot and it was enough for two people. It was easy to order as the menu and everything is online. Food came pretty quickly too!“

“It is a good option for Malaysian food in the Boston area. There are a variety of options, not all of them are good. In our opinions:- Good: Hainanese chicken, char kway teow, nasi lemak, Singapore noodles, bak kut teh- Bad: oyster omelette.“

“Quick service! Friendly staff! Inside was decently spacious and had dimmer lighting. Got the beef noodle soup and the noodles were nice, soup not too spicy, the beef was very thinly sliced and tender, also had lots of daikon that soaked up all the flavor. Solid bowl of noodle soup“

“I absolutely love Happy Lamb! I'd been to the Cambridge location a few times, but this was my first time going to the one in Chinatown. It just so happened that we went during Chinese New Year celebrations, which made it even more fun. I came in a group of 5 on a weekend for a late lunch and there was a bit of a wait. Be sure to check in ahead online. I love all the options here, from the meats brought to your table, to the vegetable/noodle selection at the buffet, to the sauce bar. Everything tasted pretty fresh and you can keep going back for more. My only complaint is the broths tend to be very salty, especially with the addition of sauces. Nevertheless, one of the best places to go if you're hungry for a big meal!“

“A luxurious Chinese restaurant right in the middle of the downtown in Boston. It's located by Boston common and Public Garden - great for a group of people looking for some cool Asian food after all the activities around the area. Especially recommend for parents as they have good kids menus. Foods were neat and tasty served with good portion to share by plates. Liked their interior design being exotic and artistic. Seats were spacious and comfortable. Outdoor seating was available. Servers were kind and friendly. Nearby parking is very limited; some may be available along the Charles St. But recommend using the Boston Common garage.“

“Soups here are very good and flavorful. The service is quick (implied by the name 10 second delivery) because the prep is done in advance. If you get takeout, expect noodles and most toppings to be packaged separately as trays to one container. Parking can be found on the side road. It's located behind Wollaston station.“

“We got pork intestines with preserved vegetables, stirred fried pea leaves, salted and pepper soft shell crab, and fish maw with crab meat soup. Everything came out well-cooked and tasty. Fast service even when the restaurant was packed. We moved away and once in a while when we crave Chinese food we would go out our way to Victoria.“

“I have been looking for a "go-to" Chinese food delivery place. I think I just found it. I have a ton of places closer to me, but China Chopsticks was way better. The lady on the phone was pleasant, the prices were good, the food/portions were good, the delivery driver was here quickly. My ONLY small complaint is that the menu on their website does not download.I will definitely order from them again.“

“The food was delicious. On the other hand, customer service was not as impressive. Lack of acknowledgement from the host at arrival. We were the only customers that were not Asian when we visited the restaurant, not sure if the lack of interest in us was because we were not Asian. Other than that, the food was amazing.“

“The food was excellent. We enjoyed everything we had. Gluten allergies were accommodated with gluten free options clearly marked on the menu. The music was very loud (is this how I descend into old age?) so I had trouble hearing my group and the lighting was really low. But I would definitely come back here again for the food and drinks.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options clearly marked“

“We decided to try this cafe. Very small but the food is delicious. Ordered the rice rolls with liver (for you who like liver, it was yummy!) but they certainly had loads of choices of fillings. The Chow Fun (we had chicken instead of beef) had plenty of bean sprouts as it should be. Yummy homemade wanton soup warmed us as it was a rainy day and our last dish was the pork rib in bean sauce clay pot. Everything looked so tasty we cleaned off the first dishes before I remembered to take photos which are here! Lol“

“Really, really good American Chinese food. Great value, huge portions of delicious classics. If you're craving American Chinese food Jasmine Cuisine will really hit the spot.Service is excellent, everyone is kind and welcoming. I came to pick-up holding my toddler in the rain, and the lady behind the counter offered to take my bag to the car for me (which I politely declined but very much appreciated the offer). My kid also has a bad tree nut allergy, and I feel like ordering from certain Chinese places can be dicey. I let Jasmine Cuisine know when I was ordering and my kid had zero reaction/sensitivity, even though his worse allergies are to cashews and walnuts which are often featured in American Chinese and I presume in certain dishes on their menu. Gives me great peace of mind that they took my request seriously.“

“According to Liam, the employee to whom I spoke, this restaurant has a new name and owner as of September 2022. The storefront says Liaoxiang Rice Noodle. The name on the receipt reads Luckycafe, one word. The picture menu says Potluck Cafe. Food and prices are good. I got the steamed fish with black bean sauce for $7 and a plate of white rice for $2. I like the hot chili pepper sauce on the table.“

“The new golden gate is part of Chinatown history tracing back to its original days as the "golden gate". When they added the new, it wasn't quite the same but they still do one thing well, is cooking Chinese style roast beef. Other restaurants sell roast beef, but they don't do quite as good of a job. Chinese roast beef is sliced rib eye that is quickly seared in a wok with a brown sauce. You can customize it and have it over rice or in black bean sauce with pickled vegetables but my go to as pictured is roast beef and tomatoes chow mein in black bean sauce. It's something you wouldn't find on the menu but if you ask them to make it, well at least in Chinese as I've never tried in English, they'll be able to make it.“
“Best dumplings, many of the restaurants in this region are actually selling dumplings made right here“

“We had the pleasure of savoring a delightful dinner experience at Gaga (嘉嘉) Seafood Restaurant nestled within Boston's vibrant Chinatown. Our culinary choices led us to two exquisite dishes: the "Braised Clayton Mutton with Radish" and the Salt and Pepper Squid. The mutton dish, thoughtfully seasoned to perfection, struck an impeccable balance that pleased the palate without overwhelming it with saltiness. The radish, expertly prepared, offered a delightful crunchiness while exuding a pleasing infusion of flavors. The Salt and Pepper Squid, undoubtedly a highlight of the meal, showcased remarkable freshness and a meticulous level of cooking that maintained its tenderness and flavor profile. The squid arrived neither undercooked nor overdone, a testament to the chef's skill in the kitchen. Furthermore, the affordability of the menu pleasantly surprised us, as the prices were notably reasonable given the outstanding quality of the dishes. Adding to the positive experience was the restaurant staff, who were not only efficient but also notably courteous, enhancing the overall dining atmosphere. Should you find yourself in Boston Chinatown, Gaga Seafood Restaurant is undoubtedly a gem worth discovering, offering an amalgamation of exquisite flavors, reasonable pricing, and exceptional service.“

“Food: 5/5 Ambiance: 5/5 Service: 4/5 Food at price point: 5/5 The server was almost too personable. I do not like to have a conversation on the average day. And the neighboring table was the worst group of women maybe in the entire world. Out of the restaurants control so it's fine. You must get the dole whip drink!!!!“

“This hole in the wall is not pretty Inside, but they do have Cantonese/Hong Kong Style food. They are Cash only. We got the curry sauce pork on spaghetti and Beef stew & wonton soup. The service was decent. Don't have have expectations for service at any Asian places. Our food came fast, but getting our bill took time. They got pretty busy. The wontons tasted homemade and the broth was very rich in flavor. The curry sauce was thick and tasty. The pork was perfectly cooked. Overall, a good experience“
