“I recently open my own real estate brokerage. We celebrated our 1st closing here and the food was good and the drinks were strong. I order a dirty martini with gin (the only way to have dirty martini). I also had a tuna dish and cheese board.“

“We went during Baltimore Restaurant week. It was our first time there but not the last. The food was so good. Our server, Dominique, was very professional and provided recommendations which were on point. We got to meet Chef Amy, which was a nice surprise.“

“My mom and I went flea market shopping and when hunger struck, we turned to Google for breakfast recommendations. Spoon restaurant exceeded our expectations with its amazing food. We were promptly seated around 10:00 AM, and I'm already planning to return next Saturday.“

“I happened to drive by and see people sitting outside eating. It looked like a great place to stop. I went by myself. I was able to find free parking right outside the restaurant. The menu I was looking at was mostly breakfast and brunch. The price range was about $15 on up. I got a gingerale and their house wings as well as fries. Everything was good.. My bill was $21. The waitress was very attentive and nice and gave recommendations. I would recommend checking this place out. It had a nice atmosphere.“

“I was treated to a birthday dinner this past weekend at Rooted Rotisserie and I must say everything about this establishment was 20/10!!!!! The ambiance was beautiful. I love the familial atmosphere and the beautiful photos of the owners’ families. The music was wonderful and brought me back to my childhood- with the old school Ghanaian music. Now… THE FOOD. BEYOND Delicious and I have been raving about it nonstop. The flavors were perfect and the presentation, beautiful. For appetizers, we started off with the wings and shrimp plates. I had the Salmon for dinner and loved it. My table also had the braised short rib, duck confit, Mac and cheese, and braised greens. Everything was perfect and paired perfectly with our sorrel/lemonade carafe. This has, by far, become one of my favorite restaurants in the DMV and I will be looking for any and every reason to go back over and over again. To Amanda, the owner: you and your family have created a gem! Thank you for being such a gracious host and creating such a wonderful space!“

“Let’s get one this straight! This is the SPOT! The experience began with me running behind for my reservation because I-95 traffic is a..well we all know..so in calling the restaurant to alert them my first taste of Marta was Nick, who answered the phone in such a warm and friendly manner I felt welcomed even before my arrival! Now I will say parking is a challenge..but rise up to this challenge..be persistent..because once you’re safely parked you will reap amazing culinary rewards. The space itself..it beautifully done..muted colors and comfortable seating seem to say “ sit..get comfortable and get ready for a great time” Our server Michael was a JOY. Just as important as the food, is the service, Michael made sure that we were comfortable, answering all questions and providing excellent recommendations when they were asked for. No one could have asked for a better tour guide to lead our Marta experience..when making reservations..request him..I promise you won’t be disappointed. Appetizers! Tuna Cannoli..if you think you know tuna..I’m here to say NAW! This dish was whimsical and full of flavor. The tuna was fresh and prefect encased in a light cannoli shell..the sesame seeds tied the whole dish together for me perfectly. Beef tartare(my personal favorite) vibrant color and palate pleasing flavors! I like the addition of beets in place of the traditional capers. Even my one friend who hates beets agrees that it brought a great element to this dish. Oysters! Perfectly briny and chilled expertly the pink peppercorn granita was Everything! Entrees: I enjoyed the Agnolotti which was a fall themed plate of warm comfort food! The spiced squash and apple stuffed pasta was so flavorful..but just when you thought it couldn’t get better, BOOM! Brown butter sage sauce! Please do yourself a favor..make your reservation to enjoy this dish before it goes away..you won’t regret it. The risotto my friend enjoyed with the meatballs from the antipasti menu was creamy and honestly had me making my next reservation in my head so I could enjoy it all by myself! Saffron Brodo, Aged Parmesan, bring this dish home! He couldn’t stop raving about the meatballs and I know they must have been great because he didn’t share..lol My dear friend ordered the Panzotti featuring stuffed Duck and Foie Gras! All components of this dish worked together to create perfection! Wine list..well thought out and composed. When our initial choice was temporarily unavailable, cue Nick with a perfect recommendation for an alternative bottle! Desserts..we ordered them all..don’t judge..lol..we couldn’t decided..lol..and you only live once! In addition to ordering them all..you bet the 3 of us finished them all too! So no further details required..I just suggest you make sure to save room for at least one of these sweet temptations..really any one..you won’t regret it! So this concludes my most epic review..of a most epic experience! Thank you Marta..it was truly wonderful!“

“This place was weird in a lot of the right ways. It's a casual brunch spot with a huge three tiered dining room, a ton of staff, and some really good food. The thing is, they had food runners and bussers, and asked about allergies as though they were a fine dining restaurant. I appreciated it, but our server was below par.We live in the south, so testing out some of their southern claims was necessary.Grits were good and super creamy, I'd wager because they add bacon grease or some kind of lard to them.Collards were surprisingly good, but weren't stripped or chopped like most places do, so you can end up with large mouthfuls. I love collards, so I was fine with it, but for some people, it might be a bit much.Fried green tomatoes were delicious, bacon was cooked perfectly, and the fried chicken had a great fry with choice seasoning. The Strawberry donuts were okay but nothing to write home about. Now, the cinnamon danish pancakes were really good. I don't really do breakfast sweets all that much, but we made an exception here for obvious reasons. I didn't even bother with syrup, as it sort of ruined how perfectly fluffy and moist they were, and with the cinnamon, butter, and cream cheese icing, they were right in the sweet spot. This is a four and a half star restaurant, and I rounded up because the Managers played their role and checked on everything and the food runner took care of us.“

“Definitely old-school bougie (white table cloths, sommelier with a 50+ page wine list, cheese cart, and 4-6 course tasting menus), but don't get me wrong, I won't turn my nose up at a fancy fine-dining experience. Especially since you often get to taste flavors and try fare that you wouldn't normally be able to find at just any establishment. And for the most part, Charleston didn't disappoint. The scallop course was cooked to perfection, the breaded oysters were amazing - fried on the outside and creamy on the inside - it is RARE to get oysters that perfectly fried. My favorite dish was probably the duck. I am a fan of duck in all its forms... greasy over rice, fried and slathered in a bbq sauce... but this was on the scale of a dish I had in DC, where the duck was so tender it was like eating a seared, well-rested steak. Honest, perfection.I was a little disappointed in the white truffle fettuccini and their desserts. They had no wow factor like the rest of the meal and the pasta dish didn't even have real truffles. At over $200 per person for 5 courses, I would have expected a few shavings on the miniscule portion. But, 6 out of 8 of our party loved that dish, so maybe I am being too picky :)The restaurant itself is intimate and upscale, but still approachable. Most guests were dressed up, so it is definitely FANCY, but there is no specific dress code, or at least not one that is enforced from what I could tell. Our party of 8 was seated back in what I am going to call the wine room, where we were surrounded by dimly lit shelves of wine - it was old world and romantic and we had a delightful time.Their wine list is overwhelming - I am not kidding when I said it was over 50 pages! I asked for a Brunello and the Sommelier told me to turn to page 57... 57!!!! So, if you don't know what you are looking for or what might pair well with your upcoming courses, I would suggest asking for a recommendation.I also think our party-size was a little overwhelming for the staff. I am not sure they are used to serving that many people at once. There were times that the food didn't come out all at once, which is awkward for the pacing when you are eating a coursed meal, and one dessert came out a full 5 minutes after the rest of the table's. I know this is nit-picky, but it's an expensive meal at one of the premier restaurants in Baltimore, I would have just thought it would have been a little better coordinated. But, like I said, we had a big group. A smaller group may not have the same experience. Despite that though, the waiters and staff were friendly and helpful, explaining the dishes and the wine-pairings that came with them.<3 All-in-all, I would recommend. It was a fun experience, very enjoyable meal, made all the better with a group of friends <3“

“First time here and so glad I went! Cozy friendly place, super nice and helpful staff! I think my cocktail was a butterfly pea flower infused tequila concoction that was amazing. I had the pickle brined chicken sandwich and it was enormous and delicious!“

“Can't say enough good things about this place. It was my absolute go-to when I was living in the area. Every time I'm even remotely close, I try to stop back in.Prices are on point, cheap even. The food is always incredible and the service is top notch. Not to mention the cool scrabble bar top and they always have something cool on TV.My usual is the Rosemary Lamb sausage with onions and depending on my mood, the old bay or honey bourbon mustard. You can't go wrong either way. And please for the love of God don't miss out on the fried green beans. You're welcome.Fell in love with this place after my first time and I miss it more every time I leave.Parking: It really depends what day and time you go. It's a neighborhood bar so it's not bad mid-late afternoon during the week. Weekends are usually jammed packed because of everything going on around the neighborhood. You just need to do some searching. Usually you can find something within a block or two.“

“Fantastic 2 full page gluten free menu with real food on it, not just salad and seafood. As someone with celiac disease it's a struggle to find safe places to eat. Had a fun hangout vibe. Service was good. Did came out together and hot. I'll be back for sure.Dietary restrictions: Great gluten free menu.“
