“This place is awesome ! Good food, great staff, beautiful atmosphere. You can tell that they put time , love, and care into their dishes and cocktails. 10/10 would recommend!”
“Coming from Los Angeles, one of the best cities for Mexican food in the US, I have high standards for Mexican food, especially street tacos. When I learned they had a location in Bethesda, I ran as fast as I could to visit. I fell in love when a coworker let me try a spoon of esquites. What differentiates them is their Mayo. They do their own twist by making it spicy and delicious with some godly seasoning. I loved it so much I tried making it at home, but wasn't able to exactly replicate it (please tell me your recipe haha). I am on the hunt to find something like this in LA! Service at Tacombi is always superb. Super fast service here. I went on Easter Sunday, and was attended to by a lovely person. He was super accommodating to a picky family member I brought. Appreciate the great vibes, food, and amazing tacos. Love ya Tacombi.”
“Everything was perfect, the service, food and cocktails! Look forward to returning.”
“Always a fantastic experience! Said and Zaki are amazing owners and hosts - they are always so welcoming and never fail to ensure the whole evening - ambiance, service and quality of food is top notch. It's out favorite restaurant in Bethesda. Thank you for another great dinner!”
“Tried this new restaurant in Bethesda. The service was excellent. Even got to chat with the owner’s mother. The appetizers were very good. The fish dish was superb and the spaghetti dish with clams was good although they were small. Apple cake was a nice desert and the sambuca was good but lacking the coffee beans. Only negative thing was the noise. Could barely hear the server. But I would definitely go back.”

“I just had my 2nd absolutely DELICIOUS Indian dinner at Virraaj on Cordell. My husband noticed what he thought was a new restaurant across from the public parking last week so we went there for our Wednesday date nite. We went earlyish and only a couple other tables were taken when we arrived but by the time we left at 6:30 ish it was just about full so best to make reservations. Even with many diners, it was still easy to talk to each other and be heard. I started w/ the AAM Palak Chaat appetizer which I had first tasted at Rasika and have ordered every time I have seen it on a menu. Definitely rivaled Rasika's and the portion was big enough to share w/ my husband as an appetizer. My main was the Murgh Bahak/ Kadai Chicken. So tender, so tasty with onion and green and red bell peppers, delicious brown sauce w/ terrific spices plus a little spicy kick. I ate as much as I could and still had left overs for 2 lunches at home. My husband ordered a lamb dish he enjoyed and finished every morsel including the rice. I saw some reviewers would have liked more rice. We had plenty with our meals so maybe they are giving more w/ each dinner. The waiter was attentive, professional, courteous and nice. The restaurant itself was classy & beautifully appointed - you could tell someone put a great deal of thought and money into designing it. This week we had friends visit who live in VA, within walking distance to Clarendon. We always go there for Indian food because there are so many good Indian restaurants to choose from but they were excited to try Virraaj from our comments about how much we enjoyed it. Before ordering takeout, I called and spoke to Jenni 3 times because I wanted to order what I had ordered last week but couldn't remember the name. She could not have been kinder or more patient in helping me figure out that it was the Kadhai Chicken. It may not seem like it from this review but I am a picky eater - happy to pay any price (just about ) for good food but am too often disappointed in Bethesda. Virraag got the highest marks on everything important to me: service, food, and ambiance - all of us enjoyed our meals and noone was disappointed. We ordered pickup for 4 main dishes including my fav Murgh Bahak/Kadai Chicken, Butter Chicken, Lamb Tawa Masala and Hariyal Murgh Tikka, naan and roti. All went on 2 big lazy susans on the dining room table and we kept on spinning, tasting and enjoying. The wife of the other couple always orders the Butter Chicken and kept on saying how moist and delicious the chicken was tonight. We all tried and liked everything - - not one complaint. So glad that we have a great Indian restaurant to go to and take friends to and not worry that anyone is not going to enjoy -- it is that good!”
“Amazing amazing food every dish has a different flavor the Peking duck is unbelievable the ribs are perfectly seasoned perfectly barbecued and right off the bone the fried rice is amazing the egg rolls are outstanding The Wonton soup is the best in the area They make a crispy fried fish In season it's Believably delicious Super tender super crisp not a drop of fat A ginger spicy Sauce was amazing Accompaniment I personally like the Crispy beef Amazing taste amazing flavor Also The honey Sesame chicken cannot be missed Just had a amazing birthday party there the owner came out it was an amazing time on time service 30 plus people no headaches not One Missed opportunity for a drink or an appetizer or any lack of food I would highly recommend this restaurant anybody looking to do some midsize catering parties holiday birthday any day from a CIA chef”
“Servers were great. Tapas were good. Shrimp, potatoes, mushrooms were really good. I have lived in Bethesda for 30 years and just now found it. We will be back soon.”

“Nice textures!!! We loved the freshness of the ingredients and creative flavor combinations offered. We tried and enjoyed 3 different savory waffles wraps for a quick lunch and loved that the base waffle is also Dairy Free! Merci Josephine GF…We shall return!”
“Delhi Spice is one of the best Indian restaurants in the DC area. Definitely try their tandoori wings, some of the most tender flavorful wings I’ve ever tried. The owner and manager Sudhir is one of the friendliest people you will ever meet. Highly recommend stopping by!”
“We LOVE Sarah’s Handmade Ice Cream. It’s delicious every time. Today we visited the new store in Gaithersburg and Sarah herself was ringing out customers! What a great, family owned business. We are so lucky to have them.”
“Awesome food ,great delivery and really fast. Thanks M&N you Rock. From the guy in the black dump truck!”
“Daliah's falafel is simply so good. Consistent, flavorful, and always fresh. A must try for anyone around the DMV!”
“Omg, District Falafel - what a real treat! As a Palestinian, I rarely eat at ME restaurants cause it's easier, less disappointing and always better to just go to mom's! My sister/friend introduced me to this place and I enjoyed it so much that I will even tackle the beltway to go into Bethesda from VA! The manager (M'hammad)/counter/table (Edwin?) staff were extremely nice, friendly, patient and just really kind! Pricing was quite reasonable & the same regardless of lunch/dinner - a real bonus. Easy parking, casual and just the right size inside. We had an amazing set of beautifully presented dishes before us incl: Adas soup (thinner than I'm used to, but SUPER delicious!), the falafel was so fantastic that I took a few dozen home to share w/family (will definitely try the spicier ones on next visit!), chicken shawarma & kifteh were nicely flavored & tender, and all the side dishes, hummus, baba ghannouj, salads, pickled items, pita bread hit the mark. Thank you for everything - Can't wait to come back!”

“Highly recommend Andy's! I recently had Andy's Pizza catered into the office for a team lunch. Everyone was excited when they heard what we were having, as Andy's Bethesda location has become an office favorite. The food and delivery was amazing!”

“I was recommended this location by a friend who tried CYM and I loved it! The little deli (food truck) was near my house and was a pretty quick trip. The ordering process was seamless. I ordered online and picked up my order right the window. I got a Sun City Bagel which featured cheddar, eggs, and bacon! The food was HOTTTT and fresh... literally to die for! It stayed warm even an hour later when I finished my nail appointment that I was heading too! Also the branding and location is just aesthetic! Even though this is a food truck location, they did have a few parking spots which was easy enough to just park and get out grab my food and go! Good food + aesthetic location = happy Cindy”
“Just had a torta cubana and my wife had a pulled pork sandwich. The torta was incredible and my wife really enjoyed the pulled pork sandwich. People working there are friendly and the prices are very reasonable for the area.”
“Very cool place with great service and excellent tasty food. Our waitress Evelyn was amazing. She was very engaged and actually went into great details about the food we were about to order. They have an amazing selection of beer which I didn't get a chance to try our this time so I will be back. Thanks for a wonderful dining experience.”
“We are happy to get some tasty, really spicy authentic food in bethesda, so we don't need to drive to rockville all the time. Only downside is that their dishes can be a bit pricey. Unlike other chinese places, their dishes are also smaller portions.Updated: We are back for more delicious ? .A couple years later, price has gone up and taste ? is not as good.”

“Lovely hole in the wall spot with good service, cute decorated interior. Had a mojito while waiting for the food. For apps we tried the croquetas de jamón serrano which were good, and some squid. For my entree ordered the palomilla steak which was delicious. They let me sub out the plantain for a side salad since I’m not a fan of those. The portion was a good size, had to take the rest home. We ordered a bottle of Malbec to pair with our food, only downside was they didn’t have an extensive wine list. I’d definitely come back.”
“Gregorio's Trattoria has become a regular in our take-out dinner rotation. Food is consistently excellent, orders are always ready when expected, and folks that work there are very nice and engaging. Great pizza, chicken parm, shrimp fra diavolo, bruschetta, carbonara, salads...everything is really good. Portions are large enough for two meals, so it turns out their prices are very reasonable...and they have been sending me $10 coupons every time i order guaranteeing I come back. Highly recommend.”
“We had such a fantastic experience at True Foods in Bethesda! The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, especially when it came to bringing plates for us to share. It made the dining experience so enjoyable and communal. And let's talk about the food – absolutely delicious! Each dish was bursting with flavor and freshness. We'll definitely be coming back for more!”
“Lots and lots of food options (don’t forget to look at their Menu Specials, separate from their regular menu). Loved that their menu was marked for dietary restrictions (I.e., GF) so we did not have to ask additional on how the dish was prepared. The server was very attentive and all dishes came out fast and fresh. Absolutely loved their garlic fried rice, good to have in addition to sushi rolls.Dietary restrictions: Menu is marked with all GF options.”
“This pizza is one of the BEST ever. The sauce ,cheese ,and dough is so scrumptious. Last Friday was my first time here ( we ordered take out ).First of all i love the fact it's in a gate community with security. The ambiance is warm and welcoming. The staff here are so nice ( I think a guy who appeared to be chef even checked on me) . i cant wait for me and hubby to dine in !Don't change a thing. You all Rock❤️”
“Great Indian-Nepalese restaurant in Bethesda. Ordered the chicken Biryani along with Chili chicken and garlic naan. The Biryani was well prepared and fresh. The chili chicken had an abundance of flavor. It wasn't too spicy either. Our server was very kind and gracious. Will come back next time I'm between Baltimore and DC.Best food and best service”
“The grilled chicken sandwich with guacamole comes with french fries. It was delicious.”
“Fantastic food, attentive service, and ambient setting. Such a fantastic spot”
“Chef Tony's has so much going for it. Great location, off the beaten path, in a gated condo. Parking is pretty easy. Getting to the restaurant is fun, a little like Henry and Karen entering the Copa to see Bobby Vinton in Goodfellas. The restaurant is on the Arcade level and is sleek, fresh, well-lighted. There is a separate bar area with softer lighting and an outdoor patio as well. The dishes I've ordered or tried have all been solid. The portions are more than generous, which is nice to know with prices everywhere being higher. My favorite is Dad's Crab Pasta. They also have Pizza, Detroit style. My go-to is the 4-4-2. Deep dish, sausage, bacon, ample sauce, milder cheese blend, hot honey drizzle... You can opt in to receiving messages/ from them, which can be nice, if you want to know about specials and such. Service is on par, prices as well”

“Amongst the skyscraping urban sprawl that downtown Bethesda has become, sits this humble, if not crumbling old structure. The authenticity of its casual, airy ambiance is mirrored by the age old recipes that emerge from the kitchen. I must admit that my exploration of the menu has not been extensive, because the Sopa de Pollo (Chicken Soup)is so uniquely delicious and filling, that there is usually no room for an entree. Come for the Sopa de Pollo and bring a big appetite!!!”
Takeout Restaurants
“This place is a 10/10 I just finished eating and I already wanna go back and get more environment is nice and a really chill spot to be around and the food is great a lot of amazing options if you can make your own sub that would be cool but the options here are already good and the service here was the best seems like the owner likes to treat everyone here like family and that's the best and I'm definitely coming back here again for sure thankfully it's close by if you're in the area check it out right now”
“Finally got to try their lemon cookie- I meant to have half so I can eat the next day but too difficult- I ate it all - it was the perfect soft with crispy edge and huge portion- it is pricey but large- service was fine and quick ! Place is small but accommodates enough to have short wait inside - ate walking outside though since there is no space to eat inside”
“One of the few restaurants that has stood the test of time. Tasty gluten free food in an unpretentious atmosphere. If you get the lunch special it's pretty good value. With it being a beer and wine store as well, the drink prices and options are above average. If you are gluten free this is a gem. If you aren't, it's definitely worth a try. The gelato is good too.”

“The best croissants I’ve ever had. They are very special and perfect to share with loved ones.”
“My partner and I work occasionally at Imagination Stage. This place is perfectly situated just off the main part of busy downtown Bethesda. Very accessible, quick, clean service. I've been to plenty of places in the DMV which claim this "New York" aesthetic and this is the best I've been to so far. The staff is incredibly friendly and always attentive. My partner has made friends with the girl who works the register. I'm sure she does so much for the establishment and it makes the place a comfort to spend some time in. Their selection of drinks and food and other confectionery is really good considering their smaller size. I hope this place keeps going strong because they are always a happy part of my time in Bethesda.”
“I wanted to post an update since my last review. I’m so impressed at the professionalism and follow up I received from the manager after my feedback. Ms. Robertson was thoughtful. Kind and helpful in discussing what happened and she also rectified the situation by providing gift certificates so we can have another opportunity to go back to the restaurant. Thank you for taking care of your customers. We are very pleased with this outcome.”
“I think this is the best ramen place in Bethesda ? Love the real spicy of Gekikara Ramen. Taste great with perfect level of saltiness. The spicy is not overpowering the broth and other stuff ”
“The Mother Earth, with salmon, is my absolute favorite. Best flavored Ice Tea in the area!”

“I got the spinach and cheese pizza and I can tell you this is the best pizza I have ever eaten! If you are a fan of thin crust, go enjoy! I am from out of state and plan to order a whole pizza to take back home. I also ordered the meatball sub which paled in comparison, but was also good.”
“Outstanding coffee! Great service. Awesome ambience.”
“Cute setting for group gatherings and date nights! Food was light yet yummy!”

Drive-Thru Restaurants
“My family and I went to the Uncle Julio’s in Bethesda and we had a great experience! While we were there we especially appreciated the manager Darius. He was friendly, attentive and professional. Our food was great and we loved the atmosphere of the restaurant. We will definitely be going back and highly recommend this restaurant!”
“Love this place because I get to be around heroes and patriots that are active duty, retired, guard, and reserves. The food is good and there is plenty of seating. Convenient because NEX, NFCU, and refill pharmacy are all here. The only minor complaint I have is whenever the manager is serving food he is very stingy with the portions.”
“It's always my top go-to spot for a quick and satisfying meal. Whether it's their iconic Big Mac or a simple order of fries, the food always hits the spots. The convenient drive -thru and friendly service make it a reliable choice when I'm on the go. Can't best the taste and convenience!Parking: It depends at what time you visit there. Or go-thru is also good.”
“Absolutely creamy deliciousness. I especially love their coconut and their dark chocolate ice creams. They have a couple of nice benches in a garden right outside their door so that you can relax there with friends or family this making the whole thing an enjoyable experience.”
“I love everything from this place, really clean and definitely the staff are always friendly they always make me happy because they help me all the time.Recommend this store”
“Quick lunch today at Panda Express while holiday shopping. Really busy, but we were able to quickly get us through the line. Everyone was pretty good behind the counter including the servers and the cashiers. Impressive given everything they have to deal with daily.Todays lunch was grilled teriyaki chicken with white rice. Delicious. Large portion and quite filling.Enjoy!”

“Can't go wrong with this Bethesda staple / institution! Friendly staff and owners, great selection of libations and revamped menu. The prices won't leave you out on the street, and centrally located to everything.”
Cheap Eats
“Great fast casual dining spot with a very cozy Italian vibe. Exceptional Neopolitan Pizza and the pastas are also good. It is very obvious that they use very fresh and high quality ingredients. A tad pricey for a fast casual restaurant but the quality of food makes up for it. Keep up the great food PiccoliPiatti!”
“Salmon with citrus roe. I’m a fan. The shopping center left me questioning the idea of buying sushi from a 7-11. This though is a separate business. I took it to Clara Barton’s house in case it wasn’t good and I needed a nurse, but it turns out not only is she not here right now, but the sushi was excellent.”
“Great dogs and beer selection. Cheese fries were also delicious. Would recommend to try this spot if in Bethesda, MD.”
“Saturday 11/11/2023 The customer service was some of the best I've ever experienced, it was amazing. The woman working was very helpful and enthusiastic in assisting me with what I should order by throughly explaining all the baked items I had questions about. I ended up getting a Cronut $3.50, a glazed donut $1.85, 3 Cinnamon buns $2.50 per bun, and a carrot cake slice $8. The Cronut is a croissant donut and it was definitely my favorite item I got: airy and great texture & taste. I would definitely come back just for this item. The glazed donut was decent but nothing special. The cinnamon buns were what I was most hype for but it ended up being underwhelming: the bread wasn't moist and it had more of a dry/stale taste. The carrot cake slice was surprisingly better than I expected and was pretty good BUT $8 for a single slice is pretty expensive. Overall, my experience was great: amazing customer service with a wide variety of delicious baked goods. I would definitely recommend and return to this bakery.”
“Great food and amazing service! My usual is the Little Italy on a wrap. I recently got the strawberry banana smoothie and it’s a great treat for a warmer spring day.”
“The new location in Mount Airy MD is really well done. The tacos are THE BEST and most authentic around. The sopes were also delicious ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Totally worth the wait!”
“I have been here for breakfast and lunch and it’s definitely my new spot for a breakfast sandwich. This place has excellent NYC Bodega vibes and it’s gonna be my neighborhood deli spot for as long as I live within walking distance.”
“Jeni’s Splendid Has Some of the Best Ice Cream Ever in the DMV”
“Roxie is the best! She and her sons were great. They came to our school with their food truck and did an awesome presentation for a project we were doing in 7th grade on food trucks. It was very informative and engaging. The chicken tenders and fries with the Old Bay seasoning were a huge hit with the students.. The pulled pork BBQ was also a huge hit. Highly recommend making a visit to the truck ASAP!”
“I love this place! I've only been for lunch and tried their salads and bowls, which are very tasty and portioned just right. The name is kind of misleading, because the menu is full of options that aren't tacos and don't have fish. They also have beer and margaritas.”
“This is a great place to eat!!! The food is delicious, the servings generous and the service phenomenal!! I had a bowl with noodles and purple rice, for protein I picked beef (bulgogi); for toppings: corn, cucumbers, kimchi, scallions, carrots and cilantro plus Cilantro-Ranch dressing; also sesame seeds and roasted garlic......I could say this is heaven! But it wouldn't do it justice. My favorite meal for now on”
“No matter what time of day, this is THE BEST Peruvian Chicken around!”
“Olazzo catered a recent birthday party for us. Everything about the experience was first rate. Scott Crivella was extremely helpful in finagling the menu. The food was delivered right on time and was ready to serve. Our guests were delighted with the chicken Marsala, mango salmon, penne marinara, antipasto platter and bruschetta. Everything was delicious and the servings were very generous. We were extremely pleased.”
“The grilled chicken sandwich with guacamole comes with french fries. It was delicious.”
“Fantastic food, attentive service, and ambient setting. Such a fantastic spot”
“Top notch Italian specialty store. Santino is so welcoming and friendly. I asked about pastiera (Neapolitan Easter pie) and he told me he was to receive some the next day from Italy. Sure enough, I picked it up and shared it with my Italian-American family on Easter. HUGH HIT! Great shop! Great service! Grazie, Santino!”

“Ordered through one of those delivery apps! Food came hot and fresh! The Lamb Gyro was delicious 10/10 and not stingy ! I will definitely order again from there !”
“A great little restaurant hidden away in Bethesda. Delicious Italian and Argentinian style dishes cooked to perfection. Perfect for a cosy date night!”

“I wanted to like Spanish Diner since I'm a huge fan of Jaleo and of Jose Andres, but the food was so lacking in finesse and taste, even for a diner. Patatas bravas was drowning in tomato sauce (I could barely taste the potato or aoli) and the bacalao over eggplant and tomato sauce had little flavor. The ham and cheese was tasty, but nothing to say "Spain" about it...mediocre food accompanied by a hefty price tag will keep me from going back. I'm so sad that Jose Andres missed the mark on this one, unfortunately.”

The chili chicken had an abundance of flavor. It wasn't too spicy either. Our server was very kind and gracious. Will come back next time I'm between Baltimore and DC.Best food and best service”
“This place closed?!? Awful news. Wish the folks who worked there all the best.”
“Sammie provided superb service for our lunch today! I really appreciated her problem-solving, can-do spirit, thoughtfulness and kindness!”
“I agree with the positive comments on the food; had two taco platters yesterday. Take out didn't travel well, although tried to be careful, so next time I will get bowls or delivery. Owner, please provide a ramp; handicapped customers have difficulty on the steps, and door is extremely difficult to open. It is very heavy; also squeaks; lubricate hinges. Both employees seemed depressed; no smiles, barely answered questions.”
“Griffin is an outstanding waiter. He served us on .Thanksgiving. He is gracious, kind and top notch. One od the nicest people I have met.”

“I have been to all three Saltline locations and each time has been wonderful! My son and I stopped in for some brunch today in Bethesda, our server was excellent, as was the food and atmosphere. I had the daily special shrimp roll and it should totally be a mainstay!”
“Highly recommend Andy's! I recently had Andy's Pizza catered into the office for a team lunch. Everyone was excited when they heard what we were having, as Andy's Bethesda location has become an office favorite. The food and delivery was amazing!”
“While food was decent and our server was good, we were really disappointed how the restaurant was not able to get us their signature focaccia bread with Parmesan olive oil dip. We kept hearing it's still getting baked for the entire 1.5 hours we spent eating there. How can a restaurant take so long to prepare their bread which is served at every table as a starter. Whenever earlier we have requested this bread it's always come cold and now when we expected it hot it never came! Need better planning and organization at this place.”
“Sammie provided superb service for our lunch today! I really appreciated her problem-solving, can-do spirit, thoughtfulness and kindness!”
“Our server, Tequila was delightful! She made the experience for our table. She was informed about the menu, made excellent recommendations, and did everything to make us comfortable. We remember the very first Matchbox in the DMV. It has changed to have the look and feel of a chain. Not as exceptional as it was. However, staff has maintained a high level of hospitality.”
“Originally from New England. Lived in NOVA (Woodbridge) now for 25 years. Had no idea Frank pepe pizza was 45 miles away. Had it for the first time since living here and almost cried ?? Delicious!”
“We LOVE Sarah’s Handmade Ice Cream. It’s delicious every time. Today we visited the new store in Gaithersburg and Sarah herself was ringing out customers! What a great, family owned business. We are so lucky to have them.”
“The food, service, and ambiance are consistently superb. I have never had anything short of a five star experience in all the years I have been a customer.”
“Great dogs and beer selection. Cheese fries were also delicious. Would recommend to try this spot if in Bethesda, MD.”

“Great staff, super hospitable and very personable with service. The food is fresh and tasty!”
“Maman is my absolute favourite spot for a cozy coffee and pastry. The ambience is charming, the coffee is exceptional, and the pastries are divine. The staff are very kind, friendly and attentive. Highly recommended for those who are pastry lovers.Parking: It depends at what time you visit this place.”

“I have been to Rooted3 now 3 times and have had a great salad every time. They have several tasty dressings and their various different flavor falafel croquettes are great. The service is excellent and the salads have been reasonably priced. I get the "make my own" salad there and they have a lot of ingredients to choose from.”
“Visited this new cafe and had a great time. The people at the counter were amazing— so friendly and hospitable! We enjoyed our tea, coffee and mango-peach refresher!”
“My newest obsession! Dig is a new spot in Bethesda with healthy home-style concept. The employees are amicable and welcoming. It was my first time at Dig, but the employees were helpful and patient. The food was displayed like cava or chipotle; you get to pick as you go down the line. I order half of the greens, brown rice, charred broccoli, cucumber and tomato salad, and charred chicken. They have a variety of sauces, but I ended up getting the pesto and garlic aioli. The chicken was very flavorful and juicy. The broccoli was pretty good; it had a nice texture and lemon flavor. Overall, the food was super yummy, and the portions were perfect. My coworkers got the salmon and the crispy chicken with different sides. I will definitely be trying the other sides when I go back! We all enjoyed our meals, and this will be our new lunch spot! A great healthy option with a home-style feel!”
“Delhi Spice is one of the best Indian restaurants in the DC area. Definitely try their tandoori wings, some of the most tender flavorful wings I’ve ever tried. The owner and manager Sudhir is one of the friendliest people you will ever meet. Highly recommend stopping by!”
