“Food is always great! Atmosphere could be less loud.Service was both attentive and lacking. When I asked the take out person about a particular item, I was told in a condescending tone that “this is a Mexican restaurant - as if I didn’t know (y tengo raices Latinos). Many restaurants carry - or are able to make - basic things that necessarily wouldn’t be on their menu for kids.We were told to expect 25-30 minute wait. It ended up being 1 hour. No offer to get us water - though they supplied it when asked. The manager was kind and made up for lacking service. She refunded the 1 missing dish (it wasn’t in take out bag) and comped another dish we’d ordered to make up for it.Bottom line: Go! Food is worth it! But plan for potentially long waits; order everything at once; & go early.“

“Amongst the skyscraping urban sprawl that downtown Bethesda has become, sits this humble, if not crumbling old structure. The authenticity of its casual, airy ambiance is mirrored by the age old recipes that emerge from the kitchen. I must admit that my exploration of the menu has not been extensive, because the Sopa de Pollo (Chicken Soup)is so uniquely delicious and filling, that there is usually no room for an entree. Come for the Sopa de Pollo and bring a big appetite!!!“

“#DCGourmet #MonsieurLeGourmandONE of only TWO taco restaurants in DMV DCGourmet approves of.In the area of MoCO known as Bethesda, finding a meal out of the house is easy. Finding a good meal, not so much. DC area food is barely mediocre. Commercial rents are high, the chefs won’t take culinary risks, and the people settle.Enter Fish Taco: owners’ take on Mexican street taco and its accoutrements. Splendid effort. Is it LA, Baja or even Ciudad Juarez style exactly? No. But it’s darn tasty. Grab an Elote, several street tacos of your favorite proteins, bring in the line, an ice cold Mexican Coca-Cola with REAL sugar, Topochico or Jarritos - AND ENJOY.Excellent, friendly service. Super clean. Mango Shrimp ceviche is crisp, cool and lemony. You will love this place.“

“I'm between a 3 and a 4. Depends on the items. What I like? - Chicken tortilla soup which is quite flavorful though a tad salty - Crispy signature fish tacos with black beans and rice: a generous portion, perfectly crispy, fresh ingredients, nice and balanced. The hot sauce on the side is excellent and packs a good punch. What I'll skip: - blackened fish tacos: lacking in flavor - rice bowl which I had with the signature crispy fish: the combo of vegetables isn't right. It shouldn't have raw carrot cubes and lots of raw bell peppers and corn. There's also too much mayo. I'll go tacos next time. Excellent and quick and helpful and efficient service. It's also a fine fast casual space. I appreciate that there are plates and utensils and takeout containers out to speed up the dining experience.“

“Our family of 6 dined at this perfectly acceptable TexMex restaurant on a busy Saturday night. Quite noisy for conversing. We all enjoyed our entrees. My 2 soft chicken tacos came with a very small side salad and salsa. I also ordered a side of broccoli which unfortunately was too al dente to cut. I tasted hubby’s steak & shrimp fajitas which were well flavored.“
