“First time going to this restaurant. Monday night so pretty empty only like 6 people eating. The 2 waitresses luse and Sophia were awesome very attentive and quick. Food was great and with the music it felt like I was in Greece. Would recommend for those who want to try Greek food.“

“This place was such a surprise! I went because I am a nerd and was curious about fun zoning workaround, but became enamored with the wine program and food. Sophie is an incredible somm—super knowledgeable and very approachable. I am not a giant fan of Greek wines, but due to the experience, I joined the wine concierge club on the first visit. $100 bucks a month, custom-assembled based on my likes and dislikes. In addition to unique wines at reasonable price points per bottle for a restaurant, the food is the best Greek food in DC, hands down. I’ve recommended the place to several friends already and plan to take many more wine and food lovers as my guest.“

“We ate here during a week of house-hunting from out of town. This place is exactly the type of neighborhood restaurant we enjoy: good food, relaxed attitude. We had lamb shish kabob and trout stuffed with spinach and both were perfectly done. We ate on the patio at 8 pm and had no issues with mosquitoes mentioned in another review. The place was full and lively but not too loud and we had no wait. Just felt right in every sense. We ended up buying a house a few blocks away and expect to be regulars here.“

“I haven't had any food from here that I have not thoroughly enjoyed!! The staff here are very professional and so friendly. Mr. Eric and Mrs. Karimi pretty much knows what I will order. The soup is amazing!! It has a hint of lemon flavor, with orzo rice, chunks of chicken, carrots, and other vegetables in it. The pork chop meal is really good, especially when Ms. Karimi submits my special request!! The orzo rice is extremely soft, very good, and flavorful. The roasted potatoes are dangerously good and seasoned well. The tzaiki sauce is excellent to the taste and pairs very well on the Greek salad, pork chops, and best with the roasted garlic potatoes!!! The gyros are very good and filling. The lamb chop meal is excellent!!!“

“In recent years there seems to be a proliferation of small-plate Mediterranean restaurants. But Yayla remains as one of the best, reasonably priced originals in northern Virginia. There is a pleasing range of mezzes, salads, entrees hot and cold, flat breads, spreads, etc . I had a Yayla mule, 3 spreads, lemony rice soup and superb shrimp. Friends chose a range of other dishes. I can guarantee whatever you choose, you won’t be disappointed. Everything is flavorful, fresh and beautifully presented. Wait staff and servers are friendly, attentive, knowledgeable and not obtrusive. Don’t miss the nice selection of creative cocktails, wine variety and desserts. “Mixed feelings. The staff was great! They seemed happy, which makes me feel like my food tastes better when someone who is happy made it. My chicken gyro tasted fine. Nothing special, but the tzatziki was flavorful, which is wonderful. I’m grateful they let me put the fries to the side, which was the perfect little taste. Only complaint is that I ordered avgolemono and it was almost all broth and mushy bits of orzo. No chicken whatsoever. I think maybe the server doesn’t know to scoop soup from the bottom. Something to look out for! I have some chicken at home and can doctor up the soup for a lunch later this week.“

“The gentleman at the counter had wonderful customer service. We paid for our food even brought it to the table, which was very nice. It felt like fine dining, he gave us a bit of conversation and seem like such a pleasant gentlemen. I enjoyed the food. It was amazing. I eat every drop and the baklava ice cream with everything took a friend for the first time. My friend said he enjoyed it, and we will definitely be back again. I recommend this place highly if you love Greek food and gyros.“

“It’s not going to blow your mind but it’s a pretty solid option if you don’t feel like cooking. I grab the gyro maybe once a month when I don’t feel like making dinner on a weeknight. We also get the tzatziki or the falafel every once in a while, they’re both good. The place looks clean and the staff is nice, I think it’s a great value for the price and it leans more towards the healthier side than other pick up spots in the area.“

“I stop in here from time to time for late breakfast or lunch while at work and each time I leave with exactly what I ordered. Very consistent and affordable spot that used to take only cash and now takes card - which is nice. Some limited outside seating is available but this place is mainly a takeout location. Menu has all the standard breakfast items and they are available all day. The biscuits and gravy are basic but hit that homestyle taste for a bargain. I've never ventured outside of their breakfast food but I have no reason to doubt it's quality. If you need a quick and affordable breakfast/lunch this is your spot just south of DuPont Circle and by the Farragut Red Line Metro.“

The menu is kind of small but has some good options.

I was very pleased with the way the staff still chose to take my order even though they were closing in less than 10 minutes. They didn't offer anything old and didn't complain when I decided to order a fresh small pizza ??“

“Their hamburger and fries were a good one. My first order and it was snowy day but the order came earlier than expected. It was a good experience and I will order again from this place. The only thing was I hope next time I can ask for less salty fries. it was very salty.“

“Pizza is pretty tasty, one of the better ones on Cap Hill, and usually fairly loaded with toppings. Much better than Domino's or Bolis. Wings are meaty, only issue is 2x they have forgotten to put Old Bay seasoning only on them. Recommend you try Manny and Olga's.“
