“Shared a meal with friends there last Friday evening. The ambience is perfect - laid back but very nicely appointed, not fussy, just very cool. Service was excellent, everyone was smiling and sharing their passion for food, wine and cocktails. The chef brought several of our courses to the table and was engaging and quite excited to share his efforts. Everything we ate was excellent, one almost better than the next. Favorites were the lamb and the fennel. Wow. I already have reservation to return!”

“My go-to spot for Neapolitan pizza. Great salads too - always fresh. Their salmon is also very good. Bakery items are worth trying. Parking lot can be full but that’s a good sign.Parking: Can be a challenge to park because the lot is full during dinner and lunch rushes but you can get a spot in nearby lots.”

“After a dozen or so visits over the past year, I've yet to be disappointed here. The food is always fresh and hits the spot. The almond and raisin rice-toppers are a nice touch a lot of places don't offer.But the real standout here in a town with hundreds of Mediterranean options is the demeanor of the owner and staff. They have always been friendly and I always seem to leave smiling. It's very clear the owner cares and instills the same in his staff.Really happy you moved in to Berkley. “I was looking for a new place to get a reasonably priced lunch. I went at lunch time and the place was packed with a line a few people deep. $11 for a fruited chicken salad sandwich, chips and a Coke. In and out in about 35 minutes. Great spot.”

“A local coffee roaster with a large selection of single origin and blends. It's a friendly atmosphere soaked in the aromas of roasting coffee beans. We could have our beans delivered to Rochester, but we enjoy taking the trip to pick them up from the source. And, you can grab a coffee while you're there. The staff is always helpful and can make recommendations or answer home brewing questions. Also, if you sign up for the emails, they feel more like a letter from Dad, charming and personable. Support your local roaster.”

“I can comfortably state that this is generally some of the best ice cream in Metro Detroit. Top five. The reason is that they offer a dairy-free option that is more than tasty. In fact, I have driven six or 7 miles out of my way just to purchase when I’m in the mood for ice cream.Their choices change over the years, but generally they have had chocolate and vanilla options made out of both soy and/or rice milk. If you choose, you can then add any ingredients just like any other traditional dairy product. Although this may sound small, this is still difficult to find at a reasonable price.Even though it is approximately 1/2 drive-through and 1/2 window service, the employees move swiftly. Pricing is what you would expect within our local community, so it is fair and reasonable. If you are in the Berkley area and anyone in your group appreciates a non-dairy choice, this is an awesome option.Dietary restrictions: They have a variety of nondairy options from year to year.Kid-friendliness: Sundays and sprinkles for kids”

“Amazing waitress! Christine was fabulous and took the whole dining experience from an 8 to a 10/10. I had the house-made beet burger and it was super delicious! It's $17.50 but huge. I had 1/2 for lunch and the other 1/2 for dinner. Yummy bun and the tomato, lettuce and onion were appropriately packed on it. It came with fries and the portions are generous. As for the waitress, Christine was next level great. Kept the whole restaurant happy while it was busy for lunch. She works so quickly and efficiently. She is neat, extremely personable and truly the kind of person any restaurant owner would want being the face and force of their operation. Give that woman a raise! I'm not a restaurant owner but I wish I was able to hire Christine to manage something in my life, lol. Great spot- tasty food, clean space, nice layout, terrific service. TYSM!”

“Right of the start, I have to say that I definitely prefer BiggBy coffe than any other brand coffee shop.For one, they are a local, Michigan company. Also, in my opinion the coffee and most of the specialty drinks taste better than the rest of the field.It is not as crowded and the wait for service is not as long as at Starbucks, for example.I like this particular location too. The staff is very efficient and the place is clean. My drink comes out fairly quickly and always tastes delicious.”
