The wines were a delight and the steak and salmon were prepared with artistry. He guided us with each entre and the salad was shared by us with dressing aside. “Celebrating my husband's birthday so visiting Tallulah. We arrived 15 minutes early and we were seated at a table right inside the entrance which is also a pathway to the kitchen. Asked for a different location and the manger recovered directing us to the bar seating which was perfect. The service was outstanding with the bartenders, Chelsey and Paris, providing genuine and attentive service all night at a very busy bar. The old fashions were so good! The food was awesome and had a great presentation...try the scallops they are delicious. Highly recommended! We will be back!!”

“Bravo!! Delicious Neapolitan style pizza. Hits all the right notes for an East Coast transplant. Light crisp crust with just the right chew. The sauce is flavorful and not too sweet. Service was prompt and pleasant. All around a great experience!”

“This is my go to place for Mexican food in Birmingham. Next to Market Northend, smaller and also accessible when you have no reservations elsewhere. The servers are incredible, the drinks they come up with are always great - especially if you love Mezcal.I typically order the “Big Mac” Slider special, ceviche, or the Fajita Bowl. It’s like a chipotle bowl, but higher quality.The desserts are super delicious, you have to get them both.”

“The decor was great, cocktail menu interesting, most looked a little sweet, the Zana after dark was not however, it was perfect! We did shared plates, most of all were very unique, the whipped ricotta was great other than being a little sweeter than we expected for a pre-dinner shared plate. The steak tartare was amazing! The oven baked feta wasn't as good as it sounded, nor was even as salty as we expected for being feta. The rules were great on their own, the olive oil, dipping sauce didn't really go with the sweetness of the rolls, nor did we taste anything but olive oil. It was a great date night however!”

“The main and most important point is that that food was excellent. The restaurant had a great turnover with lots of customers coming in and out. My wife and I ate onsite. There were enough chairs inside by the window to eat at the counter on a cold snow day. The service was very friendly. We were brought a spicy sauce extra that we had not asked for out of a genuine act of hospitality which was much appreciated, very delicious and added to our experience. The grape leaves came warm, served with house pickles on lettuce. The restaurant felt authentic, like a family run joint. The food was definitely homemade and fresh, in all the best ways. The falafel sandwiches were perfect, the hummus was super delicious and ideal consistency and temperature, and having fresh made to order juices on the menu was a big plus too. Highly recommend for Birmingham. Clearly labeled vegan and plant based options.”

“Griffin Claw is hands down our favorite place to grab a beer and some food. We've been going regularly (probably too regularly) for years now and it's never disappointed. The atmosphere is great, it's always bustling, the staff is great, and the food and drinks are top notch.Kid-friendliness: Griffin Claw is a great option for children. If you show up for dinner any time between 4 and 6 PM, the restaurant will be full of kids in high chairs.”

“Best Cigar lounge in Michigan with a great selection of cigars, delicious food, and an upscale, pleasant atmosphere. However, the kitchen closed early at 9:30 PM despite the advertised closing time of 10 PM, and the staff seemed eager to rush us only had half the stuff on menu that we could order cause they said they closing down kitchen, resulting in a loss of at least $200 in potential revenue from our table alone, not to mention the other patrons still present that they told at 11pm, 5 more minutes we closing when it says hours are 12pm already 18 people in there another large amount of money I saw lost.”

“The food is excellent but the wait is terrible. The owners are not saving money by having less staff, they are going to undermine this business. It should not take 15 minutes to make 2 bowls when no one is in line.”

“I've came here twice (Birmingham location) in less than a week lol. Each time was great. On my first visit my waiter's name was Chris and he was outstanding. He explained every item on the menu, he checked up on me in a timely fashion, just overall great service from him. The Bartender Nate made the best cocktails (I had a Lemon Drop and a Strawberry Lemon Drop) He even came to the table to introduce himself and made sure the drink was to my liking.Food was good, I really liked the garlic aoli with the fries. Fried lobster tacos were delicious. Filet Sliders were good. I'm not a big fan of pretzel buns so I would have preferred a different type of bread but overall they were goodMy second visit I sat at the Bar. Mike was the Bartender and he made me a Cosmopolitan. I ordered Sweet & Spicy Shrimp, Scallops, Pei Mussels and Grilled Wings. Everything was tasty but the wings. If you're a fan of char-grilled taste, than you'll like the wings.”

“My husband and I met up with two other couples and dined at the Birmingham Pub. Our experience was exceptional, thanks to our waitress, Brooke. Her service was outstanding, with attention to detail in taking and serving our order. Worth noting, Brooke did not talk over our food while serving it, which is a courtesy and good hygiene, something often overlooked even at MICHELIN-rated restaurants. The food was great and the salad was fresh. Brooke’s excellent service, the quality of our dinner, and the patio setting made for a wonderful evening. We highly recommend both the restaurant and Brooke”

“Oh my, one of the best new experiences we have had in fine dining for a while! Went with a group of 12, had a private room and the BEST server, Daniel. Several of us ordered the 1 lb. whole fish. Daniel recommended which treatment was best with which fish so we ordered the Branzino baked in salt and the Dover sole and Orata (sea bream) baked in parchment, called aqua pazza. The Branzino was delicious and the salt method kept the fish moist and seasoned, but not salty. The parchment method made the other fish very moist and tasty and were baked with capers, purple potatoes and other vegetables. All the fish were filleted in a lovely table side presentation. Oh my goodness, those were awesome! Others at the table had some pasta dishes which were gone before we could even get a photo! One was the shrimp with pesto and it was also presented beautifully. We had several appetizers too which were good and so was the house bread. Because we were celebrating a birthday with our own cake, we did not get a chance to try the desserts. But we will be back to try not only more appetizers, but the desserts and the awesome coffee! I really appreciate a good coffee after a good meal not all restaurants pay attention to that final detail. And a wonderful job by Daniel, you should ask for him! Excellent experience!”

“It’s great to have an upscale/ semi casual restaurant close by. Situated off Old Woodward it affords indoor and outdoor seating. The interior is rather sophisticated with a subtle mid-east motif. Stocked with a bar, wine room, and private rooms this would make a great after work spot. I took my wife out for surprise lunch and she enjoyed it. During the mid weekday it has a rather business vibe as it felt like everyone there was attending a business meet up. While the services matched that of any high end eatery. I’m not sure the food was at the same level. Don’t get me wrong it wasn’t bad, in fact it was rather good. Since the general area has one of the largest middle eastern populations in the country, much of the food is authentic. And Phonecia's seems on par with the majority. It's the environment that separates it. How do you rate the best in a speedy pack of gazelles? Regardless of my lengthy explanation I applaud the overall execution. Two thumbs up!Parking: A private free parking lot is available. That’s quite uncommon for Birmingham.”

“I miss the old Greek Islands. This used to have that great Detroit grime. They've since redone the inside menus and platings.... Which is great for the uninitiated... But I miss the grit of it ”

“I went here for the first time tonight (4/20/24) and I really enjoyed it. The food was great, the prices were good, and I’d describe the portion sizes as “just right”. Carter was our server and he did a great job. Very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. He was very attentive but not in a way that disrupted my eating or conversation with my friend, which is so important. I appreciated the vegetarian options and non-alcoholic beer on the menu, my only recommendation would be to add a bottle of red and white alcohol removed wine (like Fre or Ariel) to the menu, we non-drinkers are out here and we like options. Oh and also, Heineken 0.0 is better in a bottle than in a can, jus’ sayin.. but overall great experience! Thanks again Carter!Vegetarian options: Fettuccini Alfredo.”

“I had been wanting to stop by here for a while now - I think it's the only Paris Baguette in the state, I believe, or at least in Metro Detroit. My office just moved to Birmingham and I stopped by yesterday, and was able to walk from there to Paris Baguette. They have a huge selection of cakes, pastries, and other goodies. Most started at $2.95 or $3.95, I believe, and the tiramisu cake slice was $6.95. I got the tiramisu cake slice, a tiramisu tart, and a mochi donut, because I've never tried one before. They also have full cakes for about $45. The tiramisu cake was my favorite of the three; the tart had a bit too much dusting on it, and I liked the mochi donut a lot, but it was a bit pricey ($4.95). I'll definitely be back here to try the rest of the menu though.”

“I've been going here for about a year and a half now. Straight up best burger I've ever had in my entire life. The cheeseburgers are delicious. The patty melt literally gonna melt away any doubts about you eating healthy ever again because it's so good you're going to order ANOTHER ONE.GREAT value when it comes to portion sizes on the sides. Milkshakes are also good too and it comes smooth enough that you can drink it right away without having to wait for it to melt a little bit, like you do when you order a milkshake at McDonalds.HIGHLY RECC 999/10”

“This is an awesome coffee shop right in the middle of downtown Birmingham. They have their own parking lot which is great and they also have amazing coffee and looseleaf tea. Their breakfast sandwiches are phenomenal as well.”

“Truly delicious and worth the wait. Perfect location. The dark chocolate creme brulee is out of this world. We had one roll left and I asked for it to be boxed with my salad. “My fiancé and I absolutely love this little ice cream spot. We drive a decent way to get over here and we'll never miss them for a sweet treat when they're open. The people who work here are very efficient, I've never had an issue. The portions are perfect, exactly what you ask for & it tastes amazing every time. So glad we found it. There are benches to sit on, you don't ever go inside but it's right by the shopping area so there's a lot to do while you have your scoop.”

“Social consistently has great food. Got the burger because the waitress said it was the best thing there (I hadn’t had it yet) and it really was quite good. We sat on the roof (which I had never done before either) and that was nice in downtown Birmingham. Lastly, our waitress was very pleasant and never left us wanting for anything. Got texted when the table was ready. As we were waiting at the front to be seated, we noticed a ton of regulars that knew the hostess/staff were being told that they had a long wait, and no they couldn't get seated immediately and would have to wait. I mention this because I find that the staff at MND are very well trained, friendly, and very fair for sticking with their system of first come, first served.The food was delicious and the servings are very generous. Even with mixed drinks, the price was very reasonable.You probably need to make a reservation at least a week in advance, or if you walk-in expect a long wait. But it's worth it!”

Overall great service and really good food. The place looks a little tired, like worn out booths and old decor. But if you can get passed that it's a nice, quiet lunch spot.”

“Love fruition açaí! They have great menu options and I love that they serve coffee as well as açaí. I got the mood bowl with a few modifications and it was great. I would love to see a build your own bowl option in the future! The açaí is frozen as many reviewers have said which I liked - it didn't get watery very quickly. The toppings are also fresh and generous, and the granola was so crunchy! I also loved the almond butter on mine. I didn't get to eat this until after my drive home and nothing was soggy. For coffee, I had the short n sweet which was absolutely delicious. The interior is also super cute with some seating to enjoy your bowl right there!”
