“We had a delicious dinner with a fabulous wine list. The level of service was OUTSTANDING. Our server was wonderfully patient and helpful while we took our time matching wine pairings with our courses, and always brought extra serving pieces to our table so we could share, with out even asking—he seemed to anticipate our needs. Once I accidentally dropped a fork, and I had barely bent over to pick it up when another staff member swooped in and got it, replacing it within moments. The atmosphere was lively and somewhat noisy—it didn't bother us, but it may be an issue for some. Seating is cafe style—crisp white tablecloths, tables lined up next to each other, like a French bistro—not the kind of place you go for a dark, quiet booth. We loved it! Great food and a wonderful selection of great wines. We had a fantastic evening, and look forward to going there again.“

“We had 4 families making separate reservations & asking to be seated together and even if they had plenty of empty tables still one family was placed far away on the back from everyone else, they could definitely improve but more then that place is worth a visit!“

“Social consistently has great food. Got the burger because the waitress said it was the best thing there (I hadn’t had it yet) and it really was quite good. We sat on the roof (which I had never done before either) and that was nice in downtown Birmingham. Lastly, our waitress was very pleasant and never left us wanting for anything. Her service was outstanding, with attention to detail in taking and serving our order. Worth noting, Brooke did not talk over our food while serving it, which is a courtesy and good hygiene, something often overlooked even at MICHELIN-rated restaurants. The food was great and the salad was fresh. Brooke’s excellent service, the quality of our dinner, and the patio setting made for a wonderful evening. “We had a really great dinner here. It was my family's first time here (I had been here before for lunch). I put in my name at the front after being told it was about a 1-1.5 hour wait. Got texted when the table was ready. As we were waiting at the front to be seated, we noticed a ton of regulars that knew the hostess/staff were being told that they had a long wait, and no they couldn't get seated immediately and would have to wait. I mention this because I find that the staff at MND are very well trained, friendly, and very fair for sticking with their system of first come, first served.The food was delicious and the servings are very generous. Even with mixed drinks, the price was very reasonable.You probably need to make a reservation at least a week in advance, or if you walk-in expect a long wait. But it's worth it!“

“Such a lively place in downtown Birmingham! The burger here is one of my favorites in the area. The grilled cheese and the tenderloin appetizer were some other favorites. The nachos and buffalo wings have also been recommended by other people. Service was very efficient and friendly.“
