“Had the absolute best experience. I've frequented a few Michelin star restaurants and the Highlands definitely deserves one! Took my boyfriend for his birthday, and we both got different courses so combined we tried 6 dishes - the bread and butter is superb, loved the prawns, tuna crudo is fantastic, NY strip cooked to perfection. Highly recommend!!“

“Incredible brunch options! We split the olives, beignets, and hummus to start, which were all amazing. We had a vegan dining companion and she found plenty to choose from. Our server was helpful and friendly. The space is beautiful and interesting, with big windows letting in the sun on a lovely spring morning. I got the sausage and pepper kachapuri which was delicious and huge! I couldn't finish it.“

“I just have to GUSH about my experience with Time Will Tell! I recently held a Birthday Party there, and it was everything I had hoped for and more! From the jump, Jake, who I worked with to plan, was flexible, helpful, and communicative. They allowed me to bring in approved catering, my own sound, and even a drag queen! Everyone loved the cocktails and mocktails, as well as the picture perfect aesthetics. I also cannot give enough kudos to the staff! They were super attentive to everyone and helpful to mostly first-time visitors. Cannot recommend enough for a drink or special event!“

“I haven't been out in a while so my daughter recommended this place I I went in a I paid 100dollars for a couple of tables! I was later approached bye a young lady and was told we had to spend at least 200 dollars for drinks and we were only at 80 dollars! Then I was told! She thought we booked online! I felt really uncomfortable! But I loved the loved the Live band !“
“Exceptional, one of my favorite places in the world.Already on the outside there is a 'wow effect'...but what about the inside? This place not only immerses us in a sumptuous era but also brings a special atmosphere. The service is exceptional. The prices are absolutely fair, and it's great.“

“Buddy's pizza is definitely at the top of Detroit style pizza. It's not overly thick and has great flavor throughout. The toppings are fresh and they let you do half and half in their large ones. The special seasoned sauce really seals the deal on the pizza and is free to add as a substitute for their original sauce. The wings were okay, but really small for the price. Probably wouldn't order those again. OThe waiter was friendly and knowledgeable and definitely helped us make informed decisions about the pizza. I would definitely recommend Buddy's and will eat there again.“

“Stopped in during the NFL draft weekend. Took about 5 minutes to get a table. Our server, Rebecca, was fantastic. Being as busy as they were, she had our drinks and waters on the table promptly and answered our questions about a few menu items. Went with the Truffled Bumblebee for an appetizer, which consisted of whipped ricotta, bee pollen, fig and truffle honey served with Walnut focaccia bread. Outstanding dish. Even my nephew, who is a picky eater enjoyed it. Ordered a larger pizza and it was enough to feed all three of us. Dough was good, toppings were fresh and it really tasty. Definitely recommend a visit.“

“This place has a cool atmosphere and good vibes. The food is great and there’s many choices to pick from. I really enjoy the unique Thai Classics at Bangkok 96 and the fresh made ice cream that they have. Staff is super awesome and very friendly. this place will be the spot to be at in the summertime months, enjoying both the inside and outside atmosphere“

“The chef's tasting menu is where it's at. There are some staples we look forward to but there's always delicious surprises too.Vegetarian options: I've only ever done the chef's menu which is selected for you. It means things come that are off the menu which adds more variety than what's listed.“

“It's very unique in that the entire menu is sliders, sort of a twist on tapas. The ones we ordered were good but not exceptional. The server was delightful and the atmosphere was clean and casual. There's a great big waiting area in the back with picnic tables, and our wait was very short. It would probably be even more popular if it were in a more accessible location. If we lived in Detroit we'd certainly go back and explore the menu further.“

“Never missed a St. Patty's Day Celebration yet. Going on 20 years. On the Historic Registry. Live music on the weekends. Friendly people all around. Every now and then, you'll see the original owner Nancy having a drink with old friends. Great history, great city and sports.Parking: Now owned by Steven's Family and doing a great job.“
“They had two N/A cocktails, one N/A beer, and several sparkling water options! I would recommend the High Vibrations N/A cocktail, very gingery and great for sipping while still being delicious. The Phone Negroni is a bottle N/A cocktail that I've seen at other places, it is tasty, but you're missing out a bit on the cocktail-being-made-in-front-of-you experience. Thanks for having great N/A options!“
“This is a great spot for a quick drink and bite before dinner. They have NA drink options for those trying to stay clear from booze, but that still want to sip on a nicely crafted cocktail. The staff is very friendly and will definitely make sure you get exactly what you want.“
“OMG Dave and Amelia are the best mixologist duo. Hubby and I came across Two Birds on google and were impressed with the reviews and photos. Our first visit was nothing short of amazing filled with luxurious and herbaceous cocktails. The atmosphere and vibes in Two Birds was very refreshing. Mature crowd, great music, tasty drinks. We will definitely be coming back as regulars to this establishment. Cheers and Happy Holidays!Tasha & Chad“

“Really cute bar with incredible service. I stopped here on a visit from out of town and I really liked the vibe. Steve was our bartender and he was one of my favorite parts of visiting- really welcoming and enjoyable conversation. I'm unsure if there is food since I stopped in late but the bar was full service and the people were great“

“I don't think their tacos are good, I ordered the shrimp and fish tacos- my fish tacos were cold. But their management is excellent. The manager that evening stopped by our table just to check on us and I shared with her my issue and right away she took care of it. I appreciated her but if I come back I'll only grab drinks because they superb!“

I had them for my daughters graduation party this Friday and all the guests love the burritos offered. Food was fresh and tasty, the staff including Pablo was very friendly. I would definitely recommend this food truck to anyone. Awesome experience!! Thank you Pablo and crew!“
“Such a beautiful bar! The design was perfect. I think these were possibly the best cocktails I have had in my life. If you plan on going make reservations because it is very small inside. We got there and didn't have reservations but the host helped us make reservations and we got in about 30 minutes later.“

“One of the best bars I have been too, very friendly and lively.-Atmosphere-Is very cool, wide open, has lots of games like darts and uses higher tech with QR code menus that I love.-Service-Was the best part, the bartender was pleasant and upbeat and really knew what she was doing! She didn’t leave out any detail and made very high end cocktails with flair, speed, accuracy, and didn’t pinch on the spirits. Loved the experience!-Food-Food was coming out hot and fresh and I heard a few compliments so it must have been good, although I didn’t order I was waiting for my reservation across the street, they did well!Place has police officer security and feels very safe and lively.4.2/5 flames would definitely recommend and will be back again!“

“Really amazing food and cocktails! The ambiance was so romantic and vibey. Family style/tapas. Great experience all around. Absolutely delicious short rib. For sure get the burnt Alaska dessert for the experience and it's tasty! The only reason I give 4 instead of 5 stars is because it is so incredibly pricey and they really do stick to the reservation times and will ask you to leave when your time is up.“

“Great food, friendly staff and the perfect place to see a show! Very intimate setting and we love the history as well!Service would have been a 5 but we got the one server that seemed to go not want to be there and go MIA often. The bartender and hostess plus all other servers were 5 stars!“
“Stayed at the Siren for a week....went to Paramita almost every night, as it's directly beside the hotel. Echoing what others have already said, very chill space...great staff, great tunes, and a really well-curated selection of wine, beer and vinyl. I walked away with three albums, one of which is Fela's Zombie album. It was just so cool to pop down there at like 11pm and have a beer and listen to a live DJ. Really good spot.“

“Didn't eat anything so I can't rate it but had a couple of drinks which are pricey I ended up paying $30 for 2 drinks which $5 of that was a tip. 2 drinks should never cost $25 regardless of what event is going on. Lots of steps going from the entrance to the bar to the restroom and so on but I liked the feel of the place., when it's closing time it's closing time they want you out and doors closed by 11. All in all it's a good place to check out.“

“No food menu other than a soup of the day made by the barmaids mother. Whatever she feels like cooking, the day we visited is split pea, and not a fan of peas, this was loaded with chunks of ham and potatoes. Very stick to your ribs soup. A shot and a beer rounded out the “meal” the bartender was super friendly even had us sign her up”out of towners” book as we were from Alabama. When you search dive bar this is a go too place. Don’t let the doorbell deter you, or the seedy neighborhood. Stop in and see the “Oldest Bar in Detroit”“

“I was searching for a restaurant or something somewhere near the Fisher Theater to kill a little time, and I walked a little and found this place. I was a little off put by the fact that my first interaction basically was "we only have 4 tops, so can you sit at the bar?" I mentioned I feel odd sitting at a bar and not ordering alcohol as I typically only drink water. I sat at the bar, and well, my server Ray was fantastic. I asked if they had hot chocolate and was told that they can make it and not only did they make it she made sure to put it in a hot cup with a lid so I could refill and it would stay hot. I then asked about some food options, and tonight, they had a few specials. One was a pizza, and one was this delicious gnocchi dish I ordered. I was excited to hear the word Gnocci as I love it. So I ordered it with the bread. I was highly impressed with this dish. My only small note would be I wish the Gnocci had remained crispy and not soft just the way I prefer it, but it was still delicious and hot and fresh. I am more than full and didn't finish the bread, thank god!! All the food looked great, and I observed nothing but great customer service. I will tell you it's on the more expensive side as my Gnocci and Bread were $18 by them selves. The portion appeared small for that price, but as I write this, I am stuffed. I would definitely recommend this place for a visit, especially if you are downtown before a show. If this review helped you at all, please mark as helpful and follow me for more reviews around the world.“

“Lauren, our bartender, was so knowledgeable and cool. The only true tiki bar left in Detroit. It's very authentic and a must visit. Bartenders in general are cool and make great drinks. They stick with the classics, but have a few fun shots in case you're feeling wild. We ordered the Tusk of Plenty and the Cobra Fang. Boozy. A tad sweet as some tiki cocktails are. This spot is one of the few bars that still has Green Chartreuse. The Slurricane has a few splashes. Street parking is plentiful. Easy to get to. Decor is great. Total time wrap. Definitely stop by Detroit's last tiki bar.“
“This is the second time I've been to this bar, both times for live music being played there. The only issue I see for it as a venue is that the stage is just as dark as the rest of the bar. They do have a nice selection of whiskey and tequila, the bathrooms are unisex and clean, and they have cute outdoor area out back, through the pea gravel isn't the best for standing.“

“We love this place in the summer when the patio area is open. Drinks are always hit or miss, but this time we came and they had the sippin Santa pop up menu which we've had elsewhere and the drinks were fantastic! Bartender told us a lot about the pop up and made great drinks. My husband ordered a whiskey ginger and he used a fresh ginger syrup which took the drink up a notch. Always will be back.“
“We made our way to this bar because a couple of the other places we were planning on going to were closed, and I'm really happy we did! This place was amazing! Great atmosphere and all of the bartenders there were awesome! We will definitely be coming back here as often as we can!“

“HIGHLY recommend stopping by. I happened upon it (visiting Detroit) on a rainy night, was pleasantly surprised by the hours, offerings, atmosphere, and the lovely staff. I returned maybe 4 more times over my trip, staff was always lovely. Highly recommend the iced Irish coffees and their drip coffee offerings were always stellar. The little cookies I got were phenomenal. I met the owner the last day and he was very jovial and enthusiastic, talked about the music and how they shift the vibes for Detroit's Opening Day. Thanks y'all!“

“Barcade remains an absolute blast, especially when I'm hanging out with my 30-something-year-old son and his friends. There's an abundance of entertaining games for everyone, ensuring a lively atmosphere throughout. For beer enthusiasts, it's akin to stumbling upon a hoppy paradise; the bar selection is simply outstanding. While they do offer food, our primary focus was on indulging in games, drinks, and, of course, catching the college basketball finals on TV. Don't forget to have your ID handy as everyone gets carded – a testament to their commitment to a safe and enjoyable environment.I wholeheartedly endorse this venue, particularly for those aged 25 to 35 who will revel in the diverse array of games on offer. From pinball to high-speed driving simulators to classic Ms. Pac-Man, there's something here to satisfy every gaming taste bud and keep the fun going all night long.“

“The crowd is nice on Thursday- Sundays , security plenty of parking and nice birthday party events. The drinks are reasonable and the waitresses be on their job. Like a cheers atmosphere you wanna go where everyone knows your name. Ms Krystal is sweet and loving and people be dressed to impress there. TV's seating 💺 ♥️ people call it a "hole in the wall" but those same people be in attendance "lol They come from all over the city to this place you must get there early on Sunday nights cause DJ Tony Rome be on hot blazing 🔥 fire. “Legendary neighborhood bar, great picture of vanishing way of life. Plenty of space for welcoming a tour bus, plenty of intimacy to relax for a couple of hours. We visited the cigar room which has some amazing artifacts of century+ of its existence. No food but up to date drink menu, including NA beers and liquor.“
“Had a great time with a couple of my friends. “Excellent spot. Popped in for a quick lunch and had an incredible arugula salad and a slice of pizza. The team was fast, food was delicious, and Kyle was super hospitable. Definitely stop by and give it a try! Best NY style pizza in Detroit.“
“Dark, intimate, local dive vibe with basic menu and cheap prices. Mostly canned beers and limited liquor selection- more of the $5beer/shot spot(says it on their tshirts) vs $25 shot with a piece of ice. Low key during the week and mostly service industry regulars mixed with the typical corporate suburbanite buses that fill the place on the weekends packing the place and honestly I'd recommend NOT coming here on friday/Saturdays unless you come at 1am when the non-locals leave. Cute patio in rear- karaoke a couple times a week and djs/ trivia nights. Super chill spot and cheap drinks with a classy feel! Cheers ?“
