It took me a week to write a review, but one of my son's said it best: "$151 for incompetent bbq is wild". So unfortunately, the greens were just salt and pepper, the beans in the red beans and rice were undercooked, the bbq chicken was fair, and I'll come back to the Texas brisket. Two family members were mildly pleased with the fish and the ribs, so that gets 3.5 stars. However, the mac and cheese was clearly rushed and not great and the cornbread was okay, but drenched in honey/butter to mask that. Now my concern is that the Texas brisket was dry, cold, leathery and flavorless. I've had good brisket before and this was not it. The service was a bit weird too. For Mother's Day the waitress could have tried to do better. I give her a 3 for probably working with some weird kitchen issues. Will I go back? No, I'd rather drive to Ann Arbor and go to Blue Tractor although nowadays who knows! So RedSmoke in Greektown was overpriced and not good. I hope others have a better experience than my family had!

Stopped in for a draft beer this afternoon and this place was not busy at all, but service was super SLOOWWWW, I used the restroom, came back, and husband still hadn't gotten service. Finally, my husband ordered 2 draft beers while deciding where we wanted to have lunch, the bartender handed us an 18.00 tab, husband questioned it, because a tad pricey for 2 pints of draft and the bartender said "We upped our prices for the Lions DRAFT, and didn't change them back yet." We both agreed we were not paying that steep price for cheap beer and the bartender rolled her eyes and said "whatever, I'm just gonna dump them out, don't care." That definitely helped us make up our minds and we went to The Sweetwater Tavern, had an amazing lunch, reasonably priced and will never even try The Redsmoke again, please get better staff!

Some of the best BBQ you can get in the D. Make sure you try the Mac n cheese and brisket. pricing can be high, i paid almost $7 for a Miller Lite bottle.

Went early due to lunch break. Ordered pick-up via doordash. Brisket was dry and tough. Also, attempted to purchase a gift card but was advised, "I don't have time to.do.that and I don't know how" by the bartender. Please train your staff to provide gift cards as advertised.

I'm giving the food a 2 because the Cole Slaw was edible. I've been there on three different occasions. The first time was so so but I decided to give it another chance. The second time was a little better. The last time March 28th was the final straw. I inquired about the Ribs being freshly cooked and was told they cook for 15 hours. I ordered two slabs. When I got home the meat was dry and burned. It was late and my family was hungry so I salvaged what I could after steaming it. I took 2 bones back to the restaurant and the person behind the counter acted like my comments about the dryness and burnt meat was bothering her. I wasn't looking for a refund or replacement order, I was just giving my honest feed back. Had I not been treated so rudely, I wouldn't have published this bad review. I will not be spending another $75.00 on food that is less than desirable. We waited 25 minutes before being waited on while the waitresses were in the back ignoring us.

A friend took me to this establishment after waiting more than half an hour to get an order placed while the staff hung out in the back when someone finally took the order, they were raving about 15 hours of cooking and how creamy the coleslaw was, however when opening the box the ribs were burnt to a crisp, so chewy I could not eat them The coleslaw was barely moist and was not creamy. They included cornbread that tasted like pure grease and was hard as a brick, All this poorly cooked meal cost $75, I call that high way robbery, I would never recommend this place to anyone. Cry

The food was good, Mariah was awesome! The fried pickles were perfectly breaded and the fried fish appetizer was great. Definitely coming back next time we're in town.
