“I cried in this nut free bakery. I didn’t have to ask them what ingredients they use. It was 100% safe for me with my nut allergies. They even have cannolis! Kayla helped me pick out nearly a million cookies and was so sweet and understanding of my tears. The quality and flavors are out of this world, the Twix cookie is to die for!! The mini tea cookies with sprinkles melt in your mouth. The pricing is amazing as well, I figured they would be more expensive as they are dairy and nut free but I spent what feels like nothing for so many things!! I cannot wait until my next visit!“

“I've been going here for years. This is easily my favorite Italian restaurant. Everything on the menu is great, but I especially love the pizza margareta and gnocchi. The bread that is provided with each meal is also incredibly good.Prices have risen a bit in the last few years but that's totally understandable and don't feel exorbitant for the food.“

“Arrived after 3pm for a snack - sooooo many wonderful choices! For our first visit to Ellen's Bakery & Cafe we had bumpy chocolate and golden buttercream (w/sprinkles) cupcakes to share. Each outstanding! The buttercream used on both was the most perfect creamy, sweet blend. And the deep chocolate coating covering the buttercream bump was our favorite. Both cupcakes were "Best in Class!" We understand that next week the Cafe will be featuring a fresh asparagus salad with a poached egg atop so we'll be back earlier in the day, and maybe for breakfast, too! Next visit, when we are heading straight home right afterwards, we'll be taking Ellen's made-in-store butter pecan ice cream with us to try. I understand it's amazing!“

“Wow!! I was disappointed that my cake was not ready when I arrived . There was a mix up and my order was scheduled for a week later . The owner went into ultra professional mode, dedicated an hour and a half during the Easter holiday rush to design me a beautiful cake. She even gave me an extra strawberry cake for my inconvenience. Been wanting to try this place so I had the chicken and sweet potato waffles, which was just OK because the waffle was a bit dry, possibly overcooked and had a little too much of something in the ingredients, that wasn’t very appetizing and unfortunately, the chicken was just OK, but wasn’t very flavorful like I had expected.However, the collard greens and macaroni cheese, were wonderful! And I also was able to try the pork-chop sandwich on a croissant and that too was pretty yummy!When it was time to leave, I asked about the body beads as to the pricing and process to receive help with them. Unfortunately, that response wasn’t very inviting. Therefore, I will go elsewhere for those. I believe the owner herself was also working, which is to be commended because I too am an entrepreneur, and she herself was very nice!Parking: Parking unfortunately not ideal, and there seems to be a very small lot on the side of the building however, it was marked as if it was reserved or an authorized area for maybe even the customers, could not tell therefore, did not park there because there was a towing sign up as well.“

“The manager moe was amazing. He came and checked up on us the whole night and the food was amazing and so was the service. Our server was Mario and he really made our night. Our party only ate halal and the manager made sure that everything was halal. One of my favorite spots to eat.“

“Stopped in on our way back to Chicago to pick up the most delicious gluten free Rye bread that I had enjoyed at the Stage Deli in West Bloomfield MI a few days earlier. Truly delicious texture & flavor just as is but perfect for sandwiches or a knob of your favorite butter or spread ! Stocked up with a loaf of their Challa Bread too. “Came here after a long night with a few friends. We were trying to find a place that is open and came here. Their food was amazing. We got butter chicken with medium spice. The spice had a build up, but it was good. It was seasoned well. I also got the veggie samosa. They were so good, and probably my favorite. They gave us an abundance of rice for the butter chicken which was nice. They gave us complimentary drinks and dessert as well. We got garlic naan and it was delicious. The service was so friendly and welcoming. Good place to go to especially at late night!!“

“Peterlins has a wide variety of food from which to eat which, for me, is fantastic as I don't care to eat the same dish every time. We arrived late and service was accommodating even though the end of shift was close. My wife enjoys the lemon herb chicken dish and that is her "go to". I have had many other dishes with my first-string choices being the carbonara and jambalaya type dishes. My suggestion would be to request the sauce of your dish "on the side" as they deliver a copious amount of sauce.“

“I order from Uncle Andy’s Berkley every week or two and my food is always hot and ready when I arrive, the staff is very friendly and greets me promptly as I enter, my order is complete (they never forget my extra side of ranch…yum!). “I love this store. It’s clean, well stocked, it has a wonderful assortment of vegan sandwiches, I got the vegan chicken with dried cherries, it was really good. I also got a drink- the orange squeeze, I really liked it. I was looking for a vegan condensed milk, they had it, this was actually the reason for going to Zerbo’s Market in Livonia. I can’t forget about the staff, everyone I came in contact with were very nice and helpful. If you haven’t been there, I encourage you To go.“

“Just ordered their chicken salad as did another person. There was very little chicken and it was mostly big lettuce. My wife ordered sable platter no bagel and cream cheese as requested. Our friends that evening had the same poor experience..very poor in all respects. You have lost four customers“

“I brought my mom here for mother's days and overall the experience was good. I'd say the only negative was that they didn't cook here dish properly and when we had them redo it,it still was not what she requested and they did not offer anything to make up for their mistakes. I can understand if they don't want to comp a dish but they should have at least offered her a free dessert to make up for it.“

“Came here today and I really liked their food. I got the chicken and black bean sauce, crab rangoon, and egg drop soup.The chicken was fork cut tender and the black bean sauce was excellent. Large portion enough for 2 meals for me. It came with steamed rice and choice of soup. I am always in search of a good egg drop soup. They have it, large bits of egg and true egg taste. Consistency is perfect and the fried wonton they serve with it are fresh and homemade. The rangoon- oh so good. It comes with 4 in an order but they are so large it's like getting 8! There were nice sized pieces of crab and green onion, the shell was super crisp not soggy at all. The sauce they come with, is awesome one of the best I have had.it was tangy and sweet but not like syrup. Total bill was $18 something for essentially the 2 meals I made out of it. I cannot wait to be able to eat there again as a treat. Delicious.BTW bathrooms were super clean.“

“I've stopped here several times for orders ranging from a quick one-cupcake sweet tooth order, to a dozen cupcakes for dessert after a nice dinner. Many places overdo their cupcakes - just too much, like those bloody Mary's with 20 food items sticking out of them. But Yummy Cupcakes does just enough. The cake is moist and flavorful, topped by an appropriately large pile of frosting. A few cupcakes have added decor, but it's tasteful, nothing like the aforementioned Bloody Mary. Prices are market rate - fair, especially considering the high quality in high-rent Bloomfield Hills. There are enough selections to be interesting without overwhelming your decision-making. I have not had a bad cupcake here, but I'm partial to the carrot cake and the banana cake. Also, it's fairly spartan which I appreciate for a bakery. I'm there for cupcakes, not to experience a bougie vibe. They also have a loyalty club which is not at all annoying. If you're driving by, stop for a treat. You won't be disappointed!“

“I'm from Ohio but everytime I come back to Michigan I'm making it a point to return here. Originally just wanted a good donut. I ended up leaving with a half dozen and a gigantic peanut butter cookie. The plain and cinnamon sugar donuts as well as the cookie were amazing. “We had a large reservation of about 30 people to celebrate a graduation from LTU, right down the street. The food was delicious, everyone kept raving about their Pizzas and especially the Risotto balls. Personally, the Bigalora Chop salad and Pistachio Pizza were my favorites. The kitchen did a great job preparing our meals and had the food out quickly, especially when considering the size of our group all while still having other customers to care for.Hunter, our waiter, did a tremendous job turning over our table multiple times and making sure our very large group had everything they needed! He was a pleasure to work with, very kind, polite, and attentive to our guests. “It was a buffet dor breakfast. $18 worth. I know food prices have gone up, but that seemed a lot. If you get it as part of your room than it's not bad. Bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, grits and waffles were the hot food. Some cereal, yogurt, baked goods, and fresh fruit like any free continental would have. Staff was friendly and refilled.“

My personal favorite is the chicken pot pie but I think that's most people's favorite. Plenty of inside seating and the place is always pretty clean.“

“UPDATE 3/21/23: I’m glad to see that 3+ years later this place is still going strong - even through the pandemic! The people, service, quality, and variety of the food are still awesome! As others have mentioned, it’s best to order in person. I’m still not a fan of the decor, but that’s just the current style in many restaurants. Most importantly, it’s clean and well maintained. I still wish I could see the soups behind the counter, but as a repeat customer, I’ve sampled most all of them, so I know what they look like.I’ve been waiting for this location to open for several weeks and was excited to see them open on 1/22/2020. 5 stars ***** for the staff and food. The menu appeared varied as expected, the staff was welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive, and the food was tasty and hit the spot. I carried home spicy black bean chili mixed with sirloin chili and it was still hot and delicious 15 minutes later.My only issues are with the decor/atmosphere/construction. While I waited a few moments for my “to go” order, I noted the environment. It’s too bright and sterile feeling for me. For a soup place on a cold winter night, I’d prefer warm and cozy. Plus, I’m not a fan of the closed off view of the soups; the counter is too high and I can’t see what the daily selections look like because there is a stone counter instead of the clear plexiglass at most other locations.Overall, I’m grateful that Zoup! is back in the area at a convenient location and I’ll continue to come.“
