“Always fresh, quick, and tasty. No "dine in" service any longer (since Covid). You may optionally eat your takeout at a table (unattended) if needed, and they struggled to get menus printed for over a year. But none of these nuances is remarkable for this type of restaurant. Their curries, soups, and Pad Thai are very remarkable, and I am very grateful it is in my neighborhood.“

“When I moved from Ferndale to Ann Arbor, I knew I would be coming back for only the best Thai food, served up at Bangkok Cafe! My favorite is pad cashew chicken, but I also love all of the noodle entrées here. The portions are still very generous, and the price is competitive.“

“The most amazing owners and staff! Their food is also amazing and one of my favorite restaurants in Michigan!“

“As a Thai American, I don’t usually eat at Thai restaurants in Michigan because many places don’t make authentic Thai food. I now have a place I can order all of my favorite Thai dishes, and all of the flavors are on point. The fried rice and pad Thai taste just like they do in Bangkok, and pad khing tastes like how my mom would cook it for me. They truly care about good food here, and I will be going back soon!“

“Lovely place to enjoy amazing Thai food. Stopped here for lunch today. Greated by friendly staff. I ordered many dishes, so I could have leftovers for dinner with my hubby tomorrow. The pineapple fried rice with shrimp is wonderful. The Tom yum soup and spring rolls very flavorful. The Thai basil rice and pad Thai were full of flavor as well. Everything arrived hot. After I enjoyed lunch, I packed it up, picked up my child from school and when I went to put the leftovers away ...they were still warm!I'll definitely return for more wonderful Thai food. I think I just found a Friday night dinner take out place, too. Thanks, Tiger Thai!!!“

“HIGHLY RECOMMEND this family operated restaurant!! I was visiting the area for work trip and stayed at hotel walking distance from Wokabob. Saw the positive reviews and walked over to order dinner to go eat back in my room. So many options I wanted to try - I went with the D-Jay (drunken noodles and chicken shawarma) spice of mild plus. As I was waiting for my meal to be prepared I talked with the owner (wife) Natalie who is so friendly with her service. I told her I will have to come back tomorrow to order another dish it all looked so good! When she handed me my to go order (one meal) I could not believe how heavy the bag was, felt like a lot of food! It was so delicious, a nice heat level, so much flavor and huge portion. I went back for lunch the next day AND ordered another meal for dinner. This time was husband owner “Papi” who I met and I ordered his signature dish of Pineapple fried rice with shrimp kabob and also a shrimp pad Thai. Again, generous portions of tasty fresh food spiced as I liked it mild plus. I ate lunch in the restaurant and took the rest back home for dinner. Food is A + I want to try more dishes next time I am in town. The shrimp very flavorful can taste the high quality ingredients in all dishes I enjoyed. The food is prepared with love and pride. Such kind warm people here this is the kind of family business I want to return to and see thrive. Restaurant is very clean. Such a great place!!“

“I ordered the #1 noodles with shrimp, it was excellent, season well and tasted great, this was an awesome meal, my very first time at this place. I do not really eat out because I like to cook, but wanted to try something different today. My husband and myself shared and love the food.“

“Order:-Hot and Sour Soup (free, included in meal)-Crab Rangoons-Pad Thai, medium spice, with chicken, without bean sprouts.Overall, it was an excellent choice. Their portion size was large enough to make two meals worth if appetizers are included. Their Hot and Sour Soup was very good, and their Crab Rangoons were the second best of any Thai restaurant I have been to. The Pad Thai was different than I'm used to. This one seemed to contain more oil and was stickier rather than wetter. The flavor seemed to lean more towards the peanuts and spice as opposed to the usual sour. It's different, but enjoyable.“

“Excellent choices of traditional foods from our local Thai families who cook on the premises. Each table has unique items to sell. Everything is prepared & packed in containers for you. Picnic tables are available to enjoy your foods right there. Highly recommend a visit.Vegetarian options: The papaya salad is my favorite new food. The mango & sticky rice is my choice for something sweet.“

“This place is stuck in the 70s. The one lady always has a bad attitude and she's the only one serving customers. She's the bus boy (lady), cashier and waiter. The food is good, but someone needs to tell them it's 2024 and not 1924“

“Penn’s Thai Cafe is our favorite. If you want some fancy expensive restaurant, then this is not the place for you. Great food, generous, moderately priced portions, and a nice Mom & Pop feel to the place. The owner is nice and always makes me feel like I’m her favorite customer. “

“I absolutely love the Asian theme. The wall-art is amazing.I had the 3 for 11$ bao. The Tofu was creamy and juicy. The pork belly was crispy and had bbq flavour on it. The kimchi chicken was crispy, tangy and spicy. The spice level was tolerable.I was on my own trying to beat my social anxiety. But i couldn’t find the right vibe to socialize with strangers lol. This is a great place for friends and family to hang out. The atmosphere is not too noisy and music is comforting for people to hang out casually.Adam helped me with a few suggestions in the neighbourhood for a good drink. My night eventually turned out to be great.“

“Pad Thai with chicken was great. Drunken Fried Rice was ok. Koong Hom Pa Shrimp rolls were ok, shrimp was over cooked, and the Plum sauce was very bland. The Gai Tom Ka was just ok. Can you believe that a Thai restaurant does not have Chili Garlic Sauce? Wow.“

“This is like the only place you're ever going to get any Malaysian food anywhere in the Detroit metro area. With that said, these guys don't play and the food here is straight ??The roast pork noodle soup and the beef rendang are really good.If the Dong Po Pork is being served off the special menu, then get that since it literally MELT IN YOUR MOUTH.“

“After 16 plus years they still have the best pho! Everyone is very kind and helpful.Kid-friendliness: My son did not know what spiciness to get and the waitress helped him out. He also did not know what he wanted in his smoothie and she did both the crystal boba and the popping boba for him. Just great customer service everytime.“

“I love this place so much. Everything on their menu rocks. Service is excellent, even with them being constantly busy. Can’t beat this spot for amazing pho. My photos are from a day we specifically set out to try non pho items, which also slapped. Highlyyyyyy recommend. Highly. (Enthusiastic Emphasis added!)“
