“Super impressed with Kabob Royale. I had a quick lunch here with my mom. We both got a beef shawarma wrap and cup of lentil soup. Both items were extremely tasty, the beef was tender and flavorful, prices were incredibly fair, and service was fast. Wish I had remembered to take a pic! Would be my go-to lunch spot if I lived in town.“

“Update 6/18/2017: They are now only open for private parties and large orders. I will miss this restaurant! I loved eating here.I love this place! I've gotten plenty of items from their menu and I have no complaints. My favorite is the combo for 3 because it comes with a little bit of everything, and it feeds 3 very hungry people. Friendly waitstaff as well if you choose to eat in. For those of you who drinks, there is also a bar as well. There is also free delivery for those of you who prefer that. I would recommend this restaurant.“

“I've never had Yemin food, but if it tastes this good I'm having it again. The Yemen Cafe serves food I'd categorize as Middle Eastern, but it's much more than that. “HIGHLY RECOMMEND this family operated restaurant!! I was visiting the area for work trip and stayed at hotel walking distance from Wokabob. Saw the positive reviews and walked over to order dinner to go eat back in my room. So many options I wanted to try - I went with the D-Jay (drunken noodles and chicken shawarma) spice of mild plus. As I was waiting for my meal to be prepared I talked with the owner (wife) Natalie who is so friendly with her service. I told her I will have to come back tomorrow to order another dish it all looked so good! When she handed me my to go order (one meal) I could not believe how heavy the bag was, felt like a lot of food! It was so delicious, a nice heat level, so much flavor and huge portion. I went back for lunch the next day AND ordered another meal for dinner. This time was husband owner “Papi” who I met and I ordered his signature dish of Pineapple fried rice with shrimp kabob and also a shrimp pad Thai. Again, generous portions of tasty fresh food spiced as I liked it mild plus. I ate lunch in the restaurant and took the rest back home for dinner. Food is A + I want to try more dishes next time I am in town. The shrimp very flavorful can taste the high quality ingredients in all dishes I enjoyed. The food is prepared with love and pride. Such kind warm people here this is the kind of family business I want to return to and see thrive. Restaurant is very clean. Such a great place!!“

“Food is 5 star. There are many Mediterranean restaurants or Arabic restaurants in metro Detroit, but not a lot of them are Syrian. Have you ever had cherry kabob, no, then you have to come here. Everything else is great too. One of the best fattoush salad I ever had.The only knock I give them is that their pita bread taste like from the grocery store. It is cold and tough. Also the restaurant is getting old.“

This hole in the wall had one of the best rotisserie chickens I've had in a while, and the toum and pickles made it a perfect bite. “The main and most important point is that that food was excellent. The restaurant had a great turnover with lots of customers coming in and out. My wife and I ate onsite. There were enough chairs inside by the window to eat at the counter on a cold snow day. The service was very friendly. We were brought a spicy sauce extra that we had not asked for out of a genuine act of hospitality which was much appreciated, very delicious and added to our experience. The grape leaves came warm, served with house pickles on lettuce. The restaurant felt authentic, like a family run joint. The food was definitely homemade and fresh, in all the best ways. “I would say that the positive reviews are justified at Remas. I had the Seltah w/Vegetables with the Yemeni bread and the sauces. While the sauces were not much to write home about, I will have to say that the Seltah had a lot of really good flavor, was healthy, and delicious. The Yemeni bread was an excellent sidekick. The checkout was a bit confusing at first, but I now remember to go up to the desk and eventually checkout there.“
