“Chanel was very friendly and it was GREAT to be able to put in an order at the squawk box rather than be forced to place an online order (that we've experienced many times at other locations). Definitely would come out of our way to visit this location!“

“Fantastic food. Great place to take a group. Unfortunately disappointed with our experience with their catering menu. Ordered the mixed fajita tray for a get together. I like vegetables, don’t get me wrong, but $175 is a lot of money to spend for a chance to sift through peppers and onions in order to find the actual toppings. Had to be over 50% veggies.“

“Love they tacos! great customer service ' always fresh & hot . I literally can eat these tacos everyday if I could . Perfect for fall days and bring them home to eat with a movie . The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I love the fact it's family owned and everyone works together. Price does vary but with inflation totally understandable I hope and pray for there success and blessings“

“This was my first visit. Once I figured out how to order, I was good, as the menu was on the wall to scan. You have to walk in, order, and pay and then sit down. They will call your name. I had the Chilaquiles and watermelon juice. It was delicious. The place has very limited seating, though. Parking is very tight. Overall, the experience was pleasantly delightful.Parking: Parking lot in front of the building is limited.“

“What a sweet little Taco-dive! First and foremost, prepare yourself for the small entrance! Was not expecting that, but the staff were great and so freaking-friendly and helpful right away. They even went out of their way to offer to carry our wagon for our kiddos up to our table. (There's some steps folx.) Our kiddos wolfed down the cheese quesadillas and chips with fresh guacamole. While my niece and O enjoyed three tacos each and some queso and chips. I Loved Adding the fresh goodies to the queso at the table: cilantro, onions and jalapeños. I had the chicken tacos and they were delicious. I even ordered a second set of 3x with the mushrooms and while they were a tad too spicy for my palate, the flavor was SOOOO good. I also had a sode of the cilantro lime rice, which I will admit, I wasn't typed excited about at first bite, but I brought it home and smashed it later!“

“Hands down best steak taco/burrito I've ever eaten. It's worth venturing to. It's pretty inexpensive too. Spanish is spoken and cash only. It's easy to miss because it's in the parking lot behind tall fences that say farmers market right on the corner of Livernois and Toledo street.“

“Really good Mexican food in the Troy area.Came for dinner with a few friends after hearing good things. The food really was excellent. The service was good overall as well. They are a little disorganized but they are earnest and kind. The dining room is really small and we saw A LOT of people coming in and out for carry out. You can tell this is almost strictly a take out joint.Overall we really liked it and I can see myself getting carry out in the future.“

“Let me start by saying this place is fantastic. We went in group of 7 on Cinco De Mayo. Wait time no more than 5 minutes! Every last staff member was so pleasant & helpful, the prices are very reasonable, very clean place. The food 10 stars hands down. To top if off you get a homemade HUGE cookie for dessert. I would say anyone that visits Mexican Town needs to visit this establishment.“

“ (Lovely bite and spice!) (Kind and caring staff) (huge cultural atmosphere)Mexican Village Restaurant was a highlight of my visit in Michigan. Located in Detroit, Michigan, the restaurant makes some delicious memories. I enjoyed every bite. The food was good! I love the simple, yet delicious meals. I appreciate having free chips and salsa with the meal. There was a spicy and mild salsa, and they both were flavorful. I enjoyed a fried burrito with the fixings. Lovely meal! The service was phenomenal! I love how kind the staff is and how they keep the water cup full. I appreciate the patience with the menu and appreciate the hospitality. Great staff and service! The atmosphere was great! I love the cultural photos and feel of the restaurant. There was English and Spanish speaking staff. The hispanic vibe was awesome!Lovely experience at The Mexican Village Restaurant.Vegetarian options: There is plenty of vegetarian options.Parking: There were so many parking spaces to choose from. Very large parking lot!Kid-friendliness: Very kid-friendly!Wheelchair accessibility: Nice size restaurant for wheelchair accessibility.“

“The taco salad was pretty good. It is iceberg lettuce, but the real hero was the interestingly seasoned, tender steak along with the fresh veggies that went along with it. The California burrito is awesome, and you can't go wrong with the tacos. We had to try them all!“

“It used to be great, really the best (in the 80s and beyond). But the last few times I visited Detroit, it's either spectacular or meh. Service is bad compared to what it used to be. I still enjoy it, but it's no longer our "get off the plane and go to Xochi's" must do.“

“I decided to try this place after seeing it listed on Instagram as a top 10 taco spot.I tried their pork Tacos, birria Tacos, chicken Tacos and chicken Nachos.I was most eager to try the birria Tacos and most disappointed to find they didn't come with the sauce/dip. I went back up to the counter to ask about it and was told they don't give it out with those tacos. He gave me some pork juice to dip my tacos in instead. The birria meat was quite dry. The pork juice/oil helped a bit to add flavor and juices. I wouldn't order them again. The chicken and pork Tacos were also just OK. Nothing special.I was most impressed by the nachos. It's a gigantic portion of food that could easily be shared by multiple people and the price was cheap at ten bucks. The customer service was lacking because there was quite a language barrier. Items were added to my order that I didn't order and the person taking my order wasn't able to answer most of my questions. I think it's important to speak Spanish or you are quite familiar with this food truck menu to fully enjoy this business. They have several locations, maybe I'll try the other locations to see if their tacos are top ten tier.Parking: The parking lot is quite congested because this location is in a Plaza that has a busy store and ice cream shop.“

“I’m always hesitant to try new food trucks. It’s usually really hit or really miss.I was blown away by these tacos. The sides were good and I loved that they repped faygo for drinks but my tacos were truly explosive. Was hoping to go back the next day but then realized they were only open Sundays.“

“This is my go to place for Mexican food in Birmingham. Next to Market Northend, smaller and also accessible when you have no reservations elsewhere. The servers are incredible, the drinks they come up with are always great - especially if you love Mezcal.I typically order the “Big Mac” Slider special, ceviche, or the Fajita Bowl. It’s like a chipotle bowl, but higher quality. The desserts are super delicious, you have to get them both.“

“Im not from this area, was here for work and a work friend suggested it. It's a really small place. Very nice people. The pierogi were good. I felt the potato pancakes were not really for me, but they were ok. That's all I tried. My friend likes the burrito. It was pretty big.“

“The food was good as was our server.I didn’t care for the way the chips tasted, they were kind of greasy flavored…But, apparently they got some new tables and it’s nearly impossible to cut your food or do anything without the table rocking, back-and-forth and back-and-forth lolKind of annoying but still a good place to eat…“

“Nice atmosphere and good food. They add a mandatory 20% gratuity on every bill over $100, which in this case was okay because our waitress was great. However, this isn't a business practice I fully agree with. What if the service was bad?“

“Hidden gem in bham. We frequent a few very authentic Mexican places in Oakland county and wow this place really impressed my wife and I. Add it to the list of awesome authentic tacos and more.Stopped in for a quick bite during lunchtime and everything was on point. The quesadillas were some of the best we have ever had, the cheese was grilled on a griddle and they were packed full of meat. We tried the steak and steak/sausage. Added on a couple of amazing al pastor tacos.Overall the marinades for the meat really made this place stand out. Excellent tomatillo salsa along with pico. And the prices are very reasonable. Everything was super fresh. The restaurant was very clean.Certainly will be back when in the area. Give it a shot. The service was really quick too.“

“Number one since a long time ago. The chicken is legendary, best in the city. Savory, tender, magical mix of seasoning and marinade. Everything on the menu is A+. I usually order a half chicken meal and three tacos. Other times I go for the full chicken dinner and two tacos. Don’t think twice; this is the spot.“

“We set outside which was a nice patio area. Since it was cinco de mayo when we went they had live music in the afternoon. Waiter was super friendly and even told us a cinco de mayo (our request). So staff has a great sense of humor.I got the Mexican Cobb salad with chicken and it was well worth the price for a salad size wise. I liked it for the most part but the beans felt a little hard. We also got a burrito and fried ice cream. I also got the pomegranate margarita. It was yummy!Inside was ok but this was definitely a restaurant I’d want to sit outdoors with nice weather. Parking is free.“
