UPDATE came back turn out this place is amazing this is my new spot officially. Great customer service the food is so versatile for this to be a small family owned business. I was totally impressed with the owner Melvin and his daughter Selena. Very professional and friendly. The food was freshly prepared and very delicious. I ordered the Turkey Burger which was seasoned to perfection and OMG it was huge! My brother and gentleman friend ranted and raved on their order of the Shrimp and Grits and the Wagyu Burger. Mr Melvin’s restaurant is a hidden gem and everyone should do themselves a favor and check him out and his food. You won’t be disappointed with the portion size either. I will definitely be going back soon.

Found this random spot looking for a different burger spot in the area. Called and spoke with Mr Melvin, he won me over with his passion for his craft. Took me a minute to find the location, but I was pleased when I arrived. I got a turkey burger (loved it) and a bacon cheeseburger (loved it). I legit went back 30 minutes later with my dad to get their oxtail dinner.Update, I went back 3 days later and got lamb chops. Everything was great!!

Plackard on main level either doesn't have the floor or it was overlooked by 2 people. We went up to the 3rd floor, then the 2nd, then the lower level/basement. It makes sense that it's in the basement.Owner is from NY and very surprisingly extremely friendly. Normally, he's in the back cooking, but his daughter hadn't arrived yet. Melvin (owner) had suggested the best bbq spot currently available bc he hasn't opened his own.Wing dinner comes with EIGHT WHOLE WINGS! The sheer amount of surprise and joy on my face had to be comical. I was so happy to get WHOLE WINGS. 2 sides come with it also. The wings were SEASONED wonderfully. The corn bread muffin (side 1) was sweet like i had hoped. Oddly, the greens (side 2) were slightly sweet. (I prefer a little bitterness so I can add vinegar, but that wasn't needed this time.) Plenty of turkey meat (?) throughout.My friend got the lamb burger. It is THICK/huge. Sauce was delicious. A little saltier than I prefer, but it would have been devoured had I ordered it nonetheless. I plan on returning to try at leaast the crab burger. This'll definitely be my return spot for my wing cravings though. 8 WHOLE WING & 2 sides for $22.99!
100/100 this place is worth the visit. I don’t know where to start with this place. Being in a business building I was confused and didn’t know what to expect. I really think this is about to be a new big thing. The food was amazing. Every bite was flavortown. The service was 10/10. So friendly enjoyed talking I am definitely coming back to try almost everything on their vast menu. I also love the atmosphere the booths are cute and it was such a vibe. Can’t wait to come back.

I had the snapper with halal rice...Unbelievable great taste and texture...I never had snapper but if it tastes like this I'm hooked lol. The owner and staff are very passionate in their food and work. If I had a choice of passion or cheap food...hands down I would choose passion...you can't put a price on passion. Hopefully I would be back in the future...Thank you for the great meal

I gave 2 stars for friendly service however I ordered a side of Mac and cheese only ans I love Mac and cheese and almost threw up it was so cheesy. Unfortunately I threw it in the trash. If you like a ton of cheese(and I love cheesy Mac so you know it was a lot if I say so) then you’ll love it. I have to say that Chick-fil-A and Popeyes macaroni is better than this sadly.
