“At first glance everything seems to be on the expensive side but the food was delicious and everything tasted fresh. The tortilla chips were fried to perfection and the cilantro fries were amazing with the dipping sauces they came with (we tried the chimichurri and the chipotle ranch). The mini churros was a nice way to end the meal and my leftovers were just as good the second day. We will be back again for sure!“

“This was my first visit. Once I figured out how to order, I was good, as the menu was on the wall to scan. You have to walk in, order, and pay and then sit down.They will call your name. I had the Chilaquiles and watermelon juice. It was delicious. The place has very limited seating, though. Parking is very tight. Overall, the experience was pleasantly delightful.Parking: Parking lot in front of the building is limited.“

“I had the spinach verde enchiladas and my boyfriend had the beef tacos. Both were amazing. His had two awsome salad/sauce things, so fresh. The margaritas are awesome too! My favorite mexican restaurant in all of the Detroit area. Much better than Mexican Town. The Picture is terrible but you can see those yummy salad/sauce things. :-)“

“Dont let the parking fool you, there is plenty of space inside and ample side street parking. Very authentic decor, food and atmosphere. Hubsy's birthday dinner choice. Free chips and salsa to start, woo hoo! Hubsy got the question and chips for the app which he devoured. I got a peach margarita ;). He got the chimichanga entree and took some for his 3rd shift lunch. I knew I would fill up on the chips, so got two fish tacos a la carte, which was perfectly filling. I'm going to blame the margarita for my forgetting to take pics of the main course.“

“Really good Mexican food in the Troy area.Came for dinner with a few friends after hearing good things. The food really was excellent. The service was good overall as well.They are a little disorganized but they are earnest and kind. The dining room is really small and we saw A LOT of people coming in and out for carry out. You can tell this is almost strictly a take out joint.Overall we really liked it and I can see myself getting carry out in the future.“

“We set outside which was a nice patio area. Since it was cinco de mayo when we went they had live music in the afternoon. Waiter was super friendly and even told us a cinco de mayo (our request). So staff has a great sense of humor.I got the Mexican Cobb salad with chicken and it was well worth the price for a salad size wise. I liked it for the most part but the beans felt a little hard. We also got a burrito and fried ice cream. I also got the pomegranate margarita. It was yummy!Inside was ok but this was definitely a restaurant I’d want to sit outdoors with nice weather. Parking is free.“

“Im one of the original cooks from when they were on Utica in the 80s. The place holds a special spot in my heart and reminds me of fraser in every way. Food is still good but the portions and price seems to be gouging at this point. I paid $6.49 for one taco and it had about half of the meat, lettuce, tomato, and cheese that i used to put on them. It was all shell. Salsa is still the same and delicious. Portions and price have gotten out of control.“

“What an amazing Surprise! The three salsas are just amazing. The red is tasty and just the right heat. I am not a hot person but I like these! The orange is great , the Green salsa…. Not your tomatillo salsa. This is a combo of herbs and oil that is as creamy as a guacamole without the avocado! Certainly a culinary delight!! Quite honestly I have to say these are probably the best salsas we have had at any Mexican restaurant!!! The shredded chicken is moist and tasty. The Enchiladas Verde I would say probably one of the best we’ve had. The barbacoa is delicious and moist. It is Tasty ,just yummy. I love barbacoa but sometimes it has too much cinnamon for me. Here the seasoning is just right. The Quesabirria( quesadilla with Barbacoa.)and the dipping broth is delish. Small pieces of sweet onion and cilantro floating on top and just beautiful and as tasty as it looks! There appears to be a full bar too. Not a large restaurant, front area is kitchen and take out. Staff friendly. Restaurant is cute abs very clean ! A must try!“

“This is a nice little family style restaurant. It has a large menu with tons of options, and breakfast is served any time.I had a grilled chicken dinner that came with 2 sides. The chicken was nothing fancy, but very tasty and not dried out at all.My son had an omelet and hash browns and the omelet was huge, he could barely finish it. We will definitely be back again.“
