“Good food, good service but.. as shown in the picture, prices for spirit drinks are not listed. To me, this means they can charge you any amount depending on time and day. You wouldn't know how much until you receive the bill. Make sure you ask what the price of the drink would be.This is not acceptable to me.“

“We had our mid-winter Model T Ford lunch here. Probably 25-30 folks showed up. They have an area that was able to accommodate us all, and we had great service, even though we were a larger party. The serviced was spot on, drinks came out quickly and the food orders followed close behind. So many different dishes were served and it seemed as though everyone enjoyed the food. They did not seem to mind we sat around for a couple of hours swapping our stories. Another nice thing was they let us have separate checks, which makes for a much easier time for our group. There is more than one location in the area, and we plan on trying a different one next time.“

“People here are very nice but it seems they are so used to their script and laying it on so thick that when a person walks in and just wants to see a menu they get confused.I am in town on a business trip and I have some dietary limitations so I wanted to see if they had menu items that fit my diet and my expense limitations. It seemed like I made the woman's head explode when I asked to see a menu and after the fact she kind of made me feel like she thought there was something wrong with me.The rest of the experience was nice but the older ladies there lay it on pretty thick with their interactions with you. The younger ladies seem to be a bit more real with you. I don't fault these ladies for working super hard for their tips and I applaud them for doing so because it must be super exhausting for them because the level of effort they put in to it is extreme. The prices are reasonable, the people there are nice, and the food is good so I would definitely recommend this place.“

“Alex, our server, recommended the Dynamite Shrimp for lunch. The shrimp were tender, sweet and spicy (just right) with some greens and sauce on the side. Very tasty and satisfying....I thought it wouldn't be enough but lasted me the rest of the afternoon!“

“"From the moment I stepped into The Crossing in Clayton, I knew I was in for a remarkable dining experience. The exceptional service began with Sunny, who skillfully handled my reservation, and continued with David's warm welcome at the door. My server, Joshua, was simply outstanding, ensuring that my visit was nothing short of perfect. What truly set this experience apart was the meticulous attention to dietary restrictions for both me and my guests. It's rare to find a restaurant that genuinely cares and accommodates with such grace. The meal was unforgettable, leaving me talking about it for weeks. But the cherry on top was a chance encounter with Joseph on the sidewalk days later. His genuine follow-up about my experience showcased a level of care and knowledge that is unparalleled in the industry. The Crossing in Clayton is not just a restaurant; it's an experience where the staff goes above and beyond, making it a must-visit for anyone seeking culinary excellence and exceptional service."“

“First time here. We made reservations in advance and found parking to be convenient. The restaurant's décor was warm and inviting, with white subway tiles behind the bar and blue banquettes around the dining area. The bartender was really knowledgeable and offered excellent recommendations. For starters, we had blue crab gratin and hand-cut steak tar tar, both for $12. The crab was spicy and creamy, and the tar tar was presented alongside warm dollops of slow-cooked egg yolk. They were both gorgeous. Our main dish was gnocchi with lamb ragu and goat cheese, which cost $18. The creamy goat cheese was the ideal compliment to the lamb ragu, and the gnocchi had a nice soft center. The portions were just right, and we left feeling satisfied. Very positive atmosphere, friendly staff, delicious cocktails as well. If you want to seal a good day with a good mood, head here.“

“The owner Mike, was a delightful man and walked my boyfriend and I through his menu. We ended up sharing a full rack rib combo with a quarter pound of brisket and homemade applesauce topped with cinnamon. I've always been picky with BBQ because it's hard to find good ribs, but this place really was probably the best ribs I'd ever had. Not only were they "fall off the bone" but they were perfectly flavored with their apple butter BBQ glaze. They close early too sometimes due to selling out so make sure you go early!“

“I have eaten here before, as well as The Shack and The Corner Pub and Grill (sister restaurants next door) - as I have Celiac Disease, and I just wanted to write a quick THANK YOU review, which I do not do all that often. Wonderful atmosphere and the food was amazing. They go out of their way to ensure your needs are met. Special thanks to Chrissy for helping to coordinate a reservation for my family reunion. And very special thanks to our waiter Aaron, as his demeanor and attention to detail really made it meaningful and memorable. My entire family was very impressed and this helped solidify the fact that we had made the right choice for dinning on our special occasion. Please visit them if you have not already. Thanks again!“

“Five starts in every way! Adorable space, impeccable service, and delightful food and drink! I brought a friend and two older adults. We each had something different--biscuits and gravy, the stuffed French toast, and a burger. Everyone loved everything. We also had drinks. I love my gin and tonic and the black pepper and? Bloody Mary was delicious. I also took some sandwich cookies and some gooey butter cake home! Perfection! I can't wait to come back to the Blue Duck!“

Lilly was a great server and sherpa on our first Chuck-a-Burger experience!! My mother in law has fond memories hanging out at the the one off Grand after high school back in the '60s. So happy we decided to stop by. Thanks Chuck-a-Burger !“

“Really great food without all of the grease that you usually get with fried food. Not only do they have top notch chicken (probably the best in St Louis), but they also have really good fish and shrimp. They have frog legs! I haven't tried them yet but judging by their other food they're probably as exceptional as they look. They have good portions on the yummy sides, as well. The okra is prepared and cooked correctly- not slimy or greasy at all. The staff is super friendly and courteous. It's a nice atmosphere to dine in; adequate seating and eclectic decorations. Not fast food in quality and ambiance, but close to fast food speed getting your order.“

“Wow! This place was soo cool. I found it via Google search for a good Cuban sandwich. I realized that I came here as a child when it was just a bar. The atmosphere is soo cool inside. The food is the best part though. The Cuban honestly did not impress me visually, but when I took a bite... oh my! The pork butt was soo good. My mom had the famous Picadilly fish. She wanted to try the Mayfair salad, but didn't want the whole salad so they made her a side salad with Mayfair dressing. They make this dressing in house and its amazing. I had a cup of Gumbo with my sandwich and it was soo good. I forgot to get a picture of it, but I have to believe it was homemade. I will definitely come back. You should come try it too.“

“OH MY GOD THE STUDS TASTES BETTER ON DRAFT. If you love Fitz soda then you HAVE to come here. The BBQ pulled pork was delicious and the floats are the real attraction. Would give food a 3.5 if I could but typing on a phone so yeah. It's not that the food is bad. It's just doesn't quite live up to the price point in my opinion“

“I am VERY biased as I work at The Barn... but I think this place is the bomb! The only challenge we ever have is sometimes there is a wait.... but that is a wonderful problem to have for us... and ALSO we now have a waitlist that you can join online... so having to wait is soon to be a problem of the past!PRO TIP #1: When I am working on Sat & Sun as the host... say the code-phrase "I go Coo-Coo-for-Cocoa-Puffs" to me and I will move you to the front of the list!PRO TIP #2: "Rutti-Tutti-Fresh-And-Fruity" also works as the code-phrasePRO TIP #3: This DOES NOT work on anyone else at The Barn, just me!“

“Stopped in during Wing Week at lunch time. Could barely get in the door due to the crowd. I actually got a table within 5 minutes! My wings were good, but I need to return. I looked at many dishes as they went by, and also observed other tables' food. Everything looked delicious. They staff was amazing, and ran the place with great efficiency. They knew many customers, so they have many regulars.“

There was a 30min wait, so I suggest getting there early.Parking: The parking lot seemed like a comfortable size and there was no issue getting a spot.Kid-friendliness: They have coloring menus for kids and automatically give them a cup with a lid.“

“Turkey ribs were awesome. First time having them, great with sauce or without. Smoke was excellent. Potato salad was like my grandmas. I didn’t get the turkey tips because they were out, I assume that means those are good too. This is a humble smokehouse with good people. Highly recommend.“

“The real note to make here is that our server was absolutely outstanding, she was so pleasant, knowledgeable, kind and attentive to our table... Probably the best server / waitress I have encountered in a very long time. She was a delight. The food was very good. The only thing I had some pretty mixed emotions about was that we were asked to leave after 75 mins due to an incoming reservation. We had a reservation at 5:00 and there was a table at the bar we moved to to finish our cocktails... the couple that was with us were a little more bothered than I was over it, but I would probably still go again. It was a overall a good experience.“

My tastebuds were extremely happy ? Definitely worth a return visit!!!“

“We had an amazing dinner tonight at YaYa’s! The sea scallops were exquisite and are the best we’ve had in St. Louis. The salmon salad and gnocchi were delectable, as were the cocktails. “Just found out about Timothy's restaurant and love it. The staff and food are amazing. They worked hard at wanting to please us and give us a wonderful evening. I had the dinner special being offered that was a pasta with morel mushrooms. So good. The salad I ordered was the house salad that was a variety of unique lettuces and vegetables with goat cheese and I think a buttermilk dressing. So good. There was Asiago bread on the table. We stayed late talking and while having wine with our friends, I watched the staff work setting up the tables for the next day and was impressed with their professionalism on how the table was set up with precision. Everything was lined up on its mark. Only carrying and handling the water & wine glasses at the bottom. Cloth napkins. Etc. Everything you would expect from fine dining and a five star restaurant. We had a cocktail before dinner that was a special offered by the bartender, it had fresh fruit & herbs on top, very good. The wine section was outstanding and enjoyed a couple of bottles in our group. Highly recommend this intimate place for its food, drink, service and atmosphere. Really a hidden gem. We will be telling our friends and will go back often.“

“I made a lunch reservation online for my mom's birthday about a week in advance, they made sure to accommodate all special requests that were submitted along with it. The hostess and our waiter both wished her a happy birthday upon greeting us and sat us in from of the window as previously requested. We ordered crispy Brussels sprouts and a couple sandwiches to share. Everything was served in a timely manner, courses were spread evenly apart. The atmosphere is light, open and spacious. I absolutely love the floor to ceiling windows and all the natural light. We had a great time and they gave us a complementary birthday treat. Our waiter made a point to ask if we were members of the museum and applied our membership discount to our bill. I thought that was extremely kind of him especially because I did not realize that was a perk and wouldn't have known to ask. 10/10“

“We stayed at the Cheshire hotel and were fortunate to have Basso on the premises! We met a friend here the first night of our stay. The restaurant is in the basement. The atmosphere was inviting with gas lit wall lights, a center bar with booths and high tops. Autumn was a wonderful server. She was so pleasant and informative. We really enjoyed having her as our server. Happy hour is from 4 to 6. We tried the fried meatballs, which were great. The lemon ravioli and the shrimp pasta dish were both delicious. Prices were reasonable. When you dine, the food taste and quality are top priority, but when the food is phenomenal and the service and atmosphere are just as good, it makes the experience memorable. We ended up returning on our second night! Julie was our server and we really enjoyed her, too. She was helpful and interested in our satisfaction! We tried the Brussel sprouts, an heirloom salad with delicious bread. Our entrees were the butcher steak and the burger. The steak was wood fired and super tender! The burger was delicious. The fries and shishito peppers were very good. We highly recommend this hidden gem and thank Autumn and Julie for making our stay in St. Louis so memorable! Oh, try the Secret Door specialty drink, a next level Old Fashioned“

“We realize it was Valentine's Day, so that may have been the culprit here. But... we were encouraged to order all our courses up front, which we won't do again. Each subsequent course arrived long before we were finished with the previous one, leading to a crowded table and a sense of being rushed, which wasn't what we were seeking for a VD meal.... Food delicious, wait staff lovely, all else good. But timing of the courses was oblivious to the pace of consumption.“

“Honestly, we've been there three or four times and the staff have already noticed us returning (we got the same table like three times in a row, so that helped). We love the food, we love the diner atmosphere, there's never a super long wait, and the food doesn't take forever to come out. Value is great for what you get. Finally, everyone around us seems to be treated like the staff knows them (they probably do), there seem to be a LOT of returning customers, and they seem to take really good care of the elderly/disabled guests who frequent their location. I've only been there about four times, but I have a lot of respect for this restaurant. My partner and I will definitely frequent this place.“

“The atopmshere is small yet intimate. The waitresse was very informative and polite. She checked in at the right times. The menu was like front and back. So it was a lot on it, but lesser product because you can change around what you are getting. The food was good. I ordered a BLT. It was just okay but my potatoes were really good. My potatoes were hot, my bacon tasted like it had been sitting out. My BFF ordered breakfast, pancake, which was huge, and eggs, sausage, and bacon. Same thing you get at IHOP but cheaper at IHOP. She said it was good and she enjoyed it. The restrooms were ok, 2 stalls, it wasn't dirty or trashed. The place is small and you can eat outside. The menu has a lot of healthy products on it, breads, pancakes etc.Parking: It's in a strip mall with other businesses. The lot is not that big.“

“The food was below par but everything else was great. I got a table right away and was served by Kaitlyn. If you are able to request being in her section, do it! I was never worried about waiting to oder and when I did, my drink came very soon after. I got the garlic French dip and I think it's over priced for how little good lean meat you get. A few bites had too chewy of fat. Half of the homemade chips were crispy so that was nice, but I would've loved every chip to be able to break in half and not bend.Still, you should go and give this place a shot!“

“It was the first time having St Louis style ribs. They were fried and burnt to the consistency of charcoal. If that's the way there supposed to be then fine and not for me. The staff was very accommodating and let me switch them out for some dry rubbed smoked ribs and they were good. I also had the brisket and it was very good. I would go back again. Just need to know about the St Louis ribs. Not willing to give up.I was in town again and decided to give this place another try. The Mac- n -cheese, fries, popover, and this time the ribs were excellent. However the brisket was dry and tough. It really should not of been served. I've eaten at a lot of BBQ's joints and Salt + Smoke is not alone. They are all hit or miss.“
