“I recently had the pleasure of dining at Shack's Breakfast & Lunch and overall, I had a wonderful experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure that our dining experience was top-notch. Their knowledge of the menu and willingness to accommodate special requests truly stood out.The food at Shack's was delicious and satisfying, with a variety of breakfast and lunch options to choose from. The portions were generous and the dishes were well-prepared. The cozy atmosphere added to the overall charm of the restaurant.However, I would rate Shack's Breakfast & Lunch a 4.5 stars because I found the water served to be a bit interesting. It had a different taste than what I was used to, which was a minor drawback for me. Despite this, I would still highly recommend Shack's for a tasty meal and excellent service. I will definitely be returning to try more of their menu offerings in the future.”

“I always enjoy my meals at Mariposa. The food is good, and I love the popovers, strawberry butter and the broth. The ambiance is lovely and upbeat. And, Buffy provides exemplary service, no netter how many tables she is serving.”

“The food was good and it was packed in the restaurant ? but my waitress gave my husband the wrong to go food and she left out all of our sauces for our donuts and our bread so I called and the manager Ryan gave us a new dinner for my husband and another order of donuts and I thought that was very nice even though I had to drive back to the restaurant but it was all good”

“Sugos is my favorite Italian restaurant in Saint Louis. The food is authentic, fresh, and amazing. They have rotating specials every night including salads with in season vegetables and seafood. Their service team is outstanding and their drink menu is always updating with imported wines and seasonal cocktails.”

“Definitely start with the Parkerhouse rose with honey truffle butter. This was a perfect place for a multigenerational family to have dinner. The menu has something for everyone and everything we ordered was well prepared and delicious our server Danny was fantastic handling a large group I will return.”

“I have to say, Uncle Julio's is my FAVORITE GO TO Mexican Restaurant in the St Louis area. no I haven't tried each and every one of them BUT their food, cocktails and great service NEVER DISAPPOINT!! so on a Monday, yes Monday, they ARE OPEN, YES!! slower, yet open ;-) Our server was Robert, who was ON HIS GAME. We recieved our chips and 2 different salsas, and margaritas promptly. I was starving and thirsty, so YES!! we then ordered both a steak and shrimp fajita meal to share. the food was SPOT ON, ROBUST FLAVOR, TENDER BEEF, TASTY SHRIMP!! when the term is used 'fresh-mex', I GET IT!! This was exactly what we craved!! As a matter of fact, I can't stop thinking about how great it was, and plan to return soon!! To take things even to a higher level, the Manager Brent made his rounds a few times, yes it was slower, but he was diligent on knowing we had everything we needed!! A great touch to the meal and ambiance. So in close, for me Uncle Julio's is a WIN, WIN!! Okay, some folks may think they are pricey, however I feel they are cost comparative, and you DO GET what you PAY FOR ;-)”

“Edit..we have been back since my review.The rude guy at the door is gone. Everyone is friendly and the food is beyond amazing!!Make sure if you want to try this place out, you make reservations. My friend and I decided last minute to try the restaurant out because I had read about it on line. When we arrived, we were informed that there would be a wait. I asked about seating at the bar because most places it is open seating. Let me tell you the host was so condescending that it was uncomfortable. There is no waiting area and he acted alarmed that I was going to approach the bar to get a glass of wine. He then informed us it was a 2 hour wait. After driving around forever trying to find a place to park and having much anticipation of trying Sado we just left. I rarely leave a bad review anywhere but I realize this place is new and hope they work on their customer service. I am sure the food will be amazing”

“This place is great for desserts. The twisted cake with ice cream which is the chimney cake tastes great and has 9 flavors. This was our first time trying this place today. If you want something else, they have shakes, waffles, crepes, mini pancakes, Italian soda and ice creams of variety of flavors. This place is smaller in size and has about three tables to sit near the window and two other sitting areas to the left of the cash register. This place is a nice addition to the ballwin area.”

“We had a lovely evening sitting outside. Perfect weather! The tasting menu was delicious. My husband loved the scallops and I loved the chicken. Both of our salads were fantastic. I had the gnocco with prosciutto and it was amazing. Desserts were fabulous!!”

“What an absolute gem of an ice cream spot. Stopped here on a trip to St.Louis and was extremely impressed.Their signature concrete is a frozen custard with a bunch of mix-ins. I got mine with coconut, mocha, and praline. An unusual combination that tasted amazing. My cousin tried the mint mixed with Oreo and loved it. They have so many flavors and preset specialties that will keep you coming back.The oatmeal cookie ice cream cookie sandwich is also a must; the cookie itself was perfection.Love this place!”

“This place is amazing! I love soup dumplings and Tiger Soup Dumplings is a great restaurant to try them. The traditional steamed pork dumplings are my favorite with their rich flavor. “I got the carne asada and al pastor street tacos, as well as the elote preparado, and my partner got the hot cheetos burrito w carne asada. It was all incredible! I liked the carne asada the best, it was flavorful and the perfect texture. My partner loves spicy food and he said the Diablo sauce was very good. The owner also came to talk to us and she was very kind and friendly!”

“This is my first time visiting this absolutely beautiful restaurant! I was pleasantly welcomed by the owner and shown to my table. The ambiance is beautiful & traditional Syrian/Mediterranean which immediately takes you away from where you are. The service was excellent. Every dish I tried was absolutely delicious! I had the stuffed grape leaves, a light traditional soup, and the beef dish served with a light yogurt & vegetables. If you haven't tried this wonderful establishment, you must give it a try! Very unique and a well needed addition to this little cove of Creve Couer! I will definitely be returning often & bringing others!!”

“You will never be disappointed at Spiros. Food is always outstanding and service is excellent. Multiple fireplaces in the dining area and the outside patio has a fire pit feature and heaters if you want to brave cooler temperatures. Never feel rushed or neglected. There's a reason they have been around in multiple locations for decades. My family started going to the Natural Bridge location in the 60's. We are 3rd generation regulars at this location.”

Wonderful atmosphere and the food was amazing. They go out of their way to ensure your needs are met. Special thanks to Chrissy for helping to coordinate a reservation for my family reunion. “Great brunch @ Russell's ! The cinnamon roll is a must try. And it's huge!!!! The portion sizes are very generous, probably could have shared the BLATE. Everything was fresh and the menu had lots of variety. Definitely excited to go back and try some other dishes. Cute, clean restaurant. Indoor, outdoor, and covered patio seating. Friendly staff and the bakery items are all so tasty. I especially love the cupcakes and brownies. We went on a sunday around 10:30 without a reservation, the wait was 30 minutes but we expected it so didn't bother us.”

“This is a GREAT neighborhood restaurant! Great ambiance in the front room! Very good wine list; we thoroughly enjoyed the Manzone Gramolere Barolo. The food was excellent, and the portions quite large on the Chicken Marsala. One of the specials was Divers Scallops on a bed of risotto, and the scallops were perfectly done. Service after the entree could have been more attentive.”

“We were out on a Monday morning produce run for our restaurant and wanted a quick brunch. Service was fast, friendly, and delicious. Parking can be odd but it’s worth the Tetris.”

“Wow! Just wow!!! I'd never had Balkan food before a friend recommended the Balkan Treat Box. I'm so glad they did. I had the Balik Ekmek (#6) which is grilled fish in their Somun (a type of flat bread). The fish of the day was Mahi Mahi which was fantastic, but the Somun made in their oven, pictured below, was equally impressive. I'd been torn between ordering the Balik Ekmek and a special spicy chicken Doner (#3) they had that day. I so enjoyed the Ekmek that I had to order the Doner to try it too. It was really good as well with nice heat from the spice. Be prepared to wait in line, but definitely make a trip to the Balkan Treat Box. The atmosphere is bright and lively though crowded. And the several staff members we interacted with were all amazingly helpful and friendly. Especially Devin, who made our visit just a little more special. I'm from out of town but look forward to returning to the Balkan Treat Box when I'm in St. Louis.”

We are big fans of Vicia and were hoping for the same complexity of flavors but did not find it in all the dishes here - only some of them.We ordered:Gougeres - cheese fondue and popovers. Fondue was good but the popovers were kind of doughy and dense.Beef tartare - fine, not great - the tartare was a bit flavorless and flat despite being served with a jusFrench onion soup - good! No complaints.Mussels - the star of the show, 5/5, some of the best mussels I’ve hadPain perdu - a carmelized dessert with toasted brioche and Clementine’s ice cream that was delicious.Special shout out to the mocktail Papillon. I don’t like when mocktails are just fruit juice but this one really had the complexity and slight bitterness of a cocktail.Overall we would come back but there are flavor profiles of some dishes that could be elevated to make this a 5/5 meal.”
