“Husband and I ate here for the first time today and were very happy with our experience. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. The food is delicious with nice portions, and very reasonably priced. I got BBQ and my husband got the catfish which I tried and thought was really good too. We will definitely be back to try other menu options.“

“Excellent Tri Tip was very tender and excellent flavor. Sides were very fresh. Homeade Ranch dressing was amazing. The banana pudding was so so good and tasted better than Paula Deens restaurant banana pudding. Service from the front and cooks was excellent! Will go back to try the steak on a Friday or Saturday soon! Highly recommend!“

“It was our first time after getting a recommendation from some friends and Holy Cow, it was amazing! Everything was delicious. The meats were all tender and seasoned so well. We had the brisket, Pork Bulgogi, and Beef. Everything from the side dishes to the main was scrumptious. The wait staff were all friendly and engaging. It was definitely a great experience and one we will come back for again.“

“Great experience checking out authentic Americana! My son had just been pinned as a US Army Captain at Fort Leonard Wood and we were exploring. We always love finding the local spots and this one didn’t disappoint. We were immediately treated like regulars. Just a great experience, good food, and ice-cold beer. Not sure when I will be back to Springfield, but will definitely grab a bar stool at Pappy’s.“

“So I had a small issue with a burger I ordered today, cooks forgot the cheese initially and it was way under the medium i ordered, but it's the first time I've ever had any sort of problem there. Our server, Amanda, and the manager, Jeremiah (I think that was his name, sorry if I misremembered) were absolute gold. Took care of us in every way possible, made sure we left happy, offered an entirely new meal if I wanted one.What made me sad is they thanked me for not being rude while having an issue.Remember guys. People make mistakes from time to time. Be kind to one another.100/10 service and they should be recognized for it.“

“City Butcher in Springfield, Missouri is always a top choice for authentic Texas-style BBQ. I make it a point to stop by for lunch during my business trips in town, and it never disappoints. This time, I opted for a sampler plate, which usually comes as a sandwich with several meats, but I requested it on a platter without the bread. I enjoyed the Brisket, Burnt Ends, Pulled Pork, and Texas Hot Link, paired with a side of Potato Salad. The meats were as delicious as ever, and I left completely satisfied, never disappointed or hungry after a visit to City Butcher.“

“This has always been are favorite place to eat. But when I ordered 4 dozen rolls and 4/8 oz tubs of honey butter for my Thanksgiving, and they were not fresh and mashed, and there was a little scoop of butter in each tub. I was very disappointed in there quality.“
