On top of the food, our server, Rita, was fantastic. She was so attentive. All of our drinks, appetizers, and entrees came out in a timely manner! We will be back for sure!”

It looks like a dive in a parking lot from the outside, but all who enter are welcomed with a smile and great food.While they don’t have a spot in the beach, they are serving up great omelettes and pancakes in a clean and friendly environment!”

Each dish was prepared with care and contributed to a very good dining experience.However, I found the service setup less than ideal for my preferences, especially during the weekend. The need to order at the counter, which had a lengthy 25-minute line, detracted from the relaxed weekend breakfast experience I was looking forward to. During weekdays, the requirement to order via web or phone also detracts from the traditional dining experience where one can disconnect from the devices for an hour and can order directly from a human being.Overall, Mockingbird Cafe is a charming spot worth visiting for its quality food and warm ambiance, though be prepared for a less conventional service method that may not appeal to everyone.”

“Overall, dining at this restaurant was a delight from start to finish. The delicious food, amazing service from Sissy, & charming atmosphere made for a memorable experience. Situated right off the Bay St Louis/Waveland exit it is perfect for stopping & having a quick bite before continuing on your journey. The portion sizes are large, I was able to take 1/2 my meal & appetizer home. The fried fish & grilled fish basket are fabulous ?, & the hamburger steak meal is sooo good. Try the onion rings!!! ?I highly recommend this Cafe!”

“This pizza is truly SUBLIME. I know different people prefer it different ways - this is thin, flavorful, slightly crisp crust. A light layer of sauce and cheese and GENEROUSLY with toppings. We ordered a small - wow - MUCH bigger than the large at the well-known chains. All that at an extremely reasonable prices! If you eat there, expect simplicity. For take out, be sure to check sizes unless you're good with having leftovers!?”

“We absolutely love this place. When we go to visit the area, The Ugly Pirate is on the agenda! The outside area has plenty of seating. The decor inside is super funky. The staff has always been kind every time we go. And the pizza is delicious! They have multiple beers on tap, as well as hard ciders and a couple kinds of seltzers.”

“Beach atmosphere bar vibe with limited menu but GREAT mahi and shrimp tacos!!French fries are very good too. A bit pricey for 2 tacos but they may be cheaper on taco tuesday. Make sure you read the historical landmark sign just outside its very interesting.”

“After a day at the beach, I let my girlfriend pick between barbecue and the seafood place next door and she chose Murky Waters.I'm very particular about food (I hate the title Foodie, but I live in New Orleans so it is baked into the cake). I have to say that I was so impressed with my meal at the restaurant. I had the burnt ends with a side of potato salad and collard greens. The size of the meat portion was beyond generous. I can say that the spicy sauce was one of the top 3 barbecue sauces I've had in my entire life. It was enough to give you a tingle, but did not sting your tongue. The potato salad was great. I suspect that is due to the chef adding sour cream to the mix. The collard greens were smokey, but I felt that they were slightly over salted.I do not make it over to the Mississippi Coast very often, but when I do you can bet that Murky Waters is going to be on my list of places to eat.”

“It's drive thru only while the dining room is being remodeled, but Papa is still serving up the fire from the window. They're super friendly and fast. Our tamales were handed to us steaming and smelling great. They were so good, I didn't care about sitting in traffic. “Stopped by for a cold one after seeing their sign on the highway. Had a great discussion with the owner and locals. Their canine mascot "Go Home" just passed after 15 years and they were celebrating his life. Amazing story- this place has been re-built three times due to the hurricanes. Katrine wiped them out but with their amazing will - they rebuilt again to open in 2008. A must stop - enjoy the southern hospitality and give support to this cool and unique place.”

“Was hungry for crawfish so I decided to give this place a try. One step in with my 2 year old son and husband make me immediately back out of the restaurant. Just interior design made me cringe, it didn't feel safe to bring my son, not a server in sight, not very family friendly or warm inviting.”

“Ordered a medium sour apple snow cone with extra sour spray and they set me up soo well! It tasted amazing and perfectly hit a craving I was having!!Kid-friendliness: They offer child sized picnic tables. Absolutely adorable! They are right next to the street so keep an eye on your little if you have a runner.”

“We've tried quite a few ice cream spots along the Mississippi coast, and while there have been many great spots, this has been the best so far! Their ice cream is thick and creamy, and they offer fairly unique flavors that they rotate out seasonally. Everything we've tried so far has been delicious! I especially like the peanut butter fudge pie, and I think the other was called chocolate torte? We've also tried cookie monster, red velvet, and the cream cheese flavor, and we have yet to be disappointed in any flavor.We tried the hot fudge topping once and thought it was ok, but not great, especially in comparison to the top-notch ice cream. The ice cream definitely stands on its own and doesn't need additional toppings to be satisfying.Service has always been good here! Even on a busy Saturday evening with a long line, they are very friendly and efficient while keeping the line moving.There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and the outdoor area is nice with a small swing set for kids. There is also a limited parking lot, but even if it is full, the area is pretty safe-feeling if you have to park a street or two away.”

“This is a wonderful bakery. Lots of breads and pastries and cookies to choose from. They even have Shoe Soles (Beaver tails’ up north they are called). Very friendly staff. Go by there for you bakery needs. Highly recommended”

“Joined friends for dinner here recently. Lovely atmosphere, attentive service. While the food was good, I found the menu to be somewhat limited. I greatly enjoyed the savory cheesecake, as did my companions. My Ropa Vieja was a bit dry, unfortunately; more attention to cooking time might be warranted, but the sauce on the dish was outstanding. The cocktails were well-crafted also. I will definitely visit again, because I noticed that there is very inviting exterior seating in the rear courtyard. Nice place to lounge for a drink and a bite.”

“My aunt visits Yamato every week, so when we visited we had to try her favorite sushi spot. We were NOT disappointed! We had our young son with us and the owner made him a rabbit out of balloons! It was so AWESOME and went above and beyond. The service was awesome and everyone was so friendly. The restaurant was clean, décor was clean and organized, and we were seated quickly and did not have to wait. We got hibachi chicken for my son and he loved it. My husband and I split a vegetable roll, spicy tuna, pink lady, and a mardi gras roll. While we liked all the rolls, our favorite was by far the pink lady roll! It had a great mix of flavors and a perfectly crispy outside. The mardi gras was also delicious and had fresh, delicious tuna and avocado on top. We would definitely eat here again and try some of their other rolls. Rating from F to A+++, I would give it an A+++!”

“Me and my family decided to go to a new place today and we saw this unique spot on Canal Street called the blue Bayou when we walked in. It was A beautiful atmosphere when we walked in and the customer service was five star I asked the server what was good on the menu and she immediately said that y’all chargrilled oysters and the alligator bites When we got the oysters, hands-down, the best I’ve had since I’ve been living in the city normally some places, the oysters still be having little shells in the oyster still and I didn’t have to worry about that with these baby I have to say they know what they are doing And the food oh my God The redfish was cooked perfect everything was delicious on my plate. I tried some of my friends Mardi Gras pasta. I will be getting it next time we come here and my mom‘s are the Poboy looked so delicious. She didn’t even want to share one oyster with me, and my dad had the chicken pasta I tasted, And that chicken was seasoned to perfect perfection but I will be back with My lady so we could go drink at the bar and then I will give a review on the drinks but overall best place I haven’t been to so far”

“A cute shop and absolutely delicious catering! I recently went to her ribbon cutting with the Hancock Chamber of Commerce and sampled the chicken salad (YUM). Michelle (the owner) did a smoker demo. She smoked meat, cheese and chocolate! SO GOOD! I can't wait to attend one of her charcuterie classes.”

“My food was great even though it didn't seem like the 3 egg fiesta omelet. They still put jalapeños in them after I said no mushrooms or jalapeños, the food was brought to me so I couldn't check it, but it was still delicious. The grits were very good. My woman had something in her drink so she threw it away. I finished her food the next morning because she didn't really like it, I thought it was good, but I'm a bigger waffle house fan than her.”

“Chopstick has the best Chinese cuisine in Hancock County on the gulf coast of Mississippi! As mentioned by the restaurant's promise they use for never using MSG, their food is extremely fresh, made-from-scratch in the kitchen! Chopstick's ingredients are extremely fresh, and especially with incredible flavor and quality! Chopstick may have a decent quantity of food in the buffet, but I definitely enjoy having the opportunity to eat Coconut Shrimp, Chicken and Broccoli, Fried Rice, and Veggie Mei Fun! Oh, and sushi rolls are also available for the taking with the buffet option, but an additional $5.99 for takeout sushi (not included in the buffet takeout). Despite the quiet ambiance, the restaurant has great casual vibes for lunch hours. On top of the top-notch service, our server was extremely friendly from being seated until the time we got our fortune cookies! I score Chopstick Chinese a 5-star rating, granted it's a wonderful hidden gem along US-90 in BSL!”

“Each level has the experience you are looking for. The bottom has live music. Take the elevator to the second floor for at table dining. Going up to the third floor you will find a bar where you can hear the music from below. You must order at the bar but can then sit anywhere.I would not get the pizza here, it was more like a very thin flour tortilla than an actual pizza crust. But the drinks were amazing.”

“We were looking for something other than the buffet. Decided to try this Cafe. We shared a very large pizza that was Pepperoni and Sausage. It takes about 30 minutes but I would say well worth the wait. It's more than enough for two or three to share. Fresh and tasty. Would do it again.”

“Drinks were great, Mahi tacos had mango salsa, that included tomatoes, which was not stated on the menu ( I am allergic to tomatoes) so I couldn't eat after it took over an hour for food to hit the table. I was pleased with the atmosphere overall it was a good experience, oyster Rockefeller was some of the best I have ever had.”

“It has been several years since we haven't eaten here. My brother was in town and he chose this restaurant to try for Sunday Brunch. I'm so glad he did! It was so much better than I ever remember. Service was good. Not anything spectacular, but our waitress got the job done efficiently. The atmosphere was great, especially when the music was turned down just a bit. When we first got there it was so loud that we could hardly hear each other speak. The food was great! Spinach and Artichoke dip was great and wish we had ordered 2 for the table. The royal reds were mediocre, I don't really suggest those - just not much flavor. I had the Benedict - AMAZING!!! Everyone was pleased with their meals. I didn't get a picture of theirs, but everyone was extremely happy with their meal. We will be going back more frequently!”

We received our food in a timely manner even though a large party had been seated just before our arrival. Attire is coast casual. Prices are competitive with similar restaurants in the Bay (which I find to be higher than comparable restaurants in areas such as Slidell and along the coast). But, here you have the trendy, artsy, small town "Main Street" atmosphere overlooking the beautiful boat harbor and the Bay of St. Louis.Street parking is free in front of and all around the restaurant, but depending on the day & time of day, parking can be a challenge *anywhere* in downtown Bay St. Louis, most especially if you're not able to walk any distance. It's not really an issue for younger or able-bodied people. There's a parking garage also, about 2 short blocks away.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible.”

“I really like the catfish here! As a person who hates fishy fish, this place nailed it! The catfish on the poboy was light and not oily. It tasted so good and was not at all fishy. Everyone in our party liked their food and the service was fantastic!”

“Stopped by on a Monday afternoon for a late lunch. I ordered the old fashion which was made with rye. An interesting change from my usual bourbon. My spouse had the margarita, which was very good. The fried green tomatoes are must. Just perfect. The seafood gumbo was tasty but served in a shallow bowl, which made for a small portion. The club sandwich was delicious and served with house made chips. Service was prompt and friendly. We had a table by the window with a nice view of the beach.”
