“Overall, dining at this restaurant was a delight from start to finish. The delicious food, amazing service from Sissy, & charming atmosphere made for a memorable experience. Situated right off the Bay St Louis/Waveland exit it is perfect for stopping & having a quick bite before continuing on your journey. The portion sizes are large, I was able to take 1/2 my meal & appetizer home. The fried fish & grilled fish basket are fabulous ?, & the hamburger steak meal is sooo good. Try the onion rings!!! ?I highly recommend this Cafe!“

“Me and my family decided to go to a new place today and we saw this unique spot on Canal Street called the blue Bayou when we walked in. It was A beautiful atmosphere when we walked in and the customer service was five star I asked the server what was good on the menu and she immediately said that y’all chargrilled oysters and the alligator bites When we got the oysters, hands-down, the best I’ve had since I’ve been living in the city normally some places, the oysters still be having little shells in the oyster still and I didn’t have to worry about that with these baby I have to say they know what they are doing And the food oh my God The redfish was cooked perfect everything was delicious on my plate. I tried some of my friends Mardi Gras pasta. I will be getting it next time we come here and my mom‘s are the Poboy looked so delicious. She didn’t even want to share one oyster with me, and my dad had the chicken pasta I tasted, And that chicken was seasoned to perfect perfection but I will be back with My lady so we could go drink at the bar and then I will give a review on the drinks but overall best place I haven’t been to so far“

“First time visit. Food and service was very good. They need to get in nonalcoholic beer. They're losing out of sales by not having it. Distributors need to carry more! Had the stuffed catfish with macaroni and cheese. Both were really great. Need a big appetite. Husband had tuna and he ate everything so it must have been wonderful. Will go back to try something else, but during the week when it isn't so crazy in town.Wheelchair accessibility: I use a walker and it is very easy to get inside or sit outside. They have a ramp so no steps.“

“Very casual beach bar right by the tracks. Great views, be sure to find the stairs and go up too. Awesome staff and surprisingly good food. The burgers are freshly made and the garlic fries might knock your socks off. Nice beer and wine selection, fun bartender too. We'll be back!“

“Each level has the experience you are looking for. The bottom has live music. Take the elevator to the second floor for at table dining. Going up to the third floor you will find a bar where you can hear the music from below. You must order at the bar but can then sit anywhere.I would not get the pizza here, it was more like a very thin flour tortilla than an actual pizza crust. But the drinks were amazing.“

“Our lunch was very good. They have a variety of grilled or fried seafood/fish, burgers/sandwiches, salads, and steak dishes. The restaurant is clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. We received our food in a timely manner even though a large party had been seated just before our arrival. Attire is coast casual. Prices are competitive with similar restaurants in the Bay (which I find to be higher than comparable restaurants in areas such as Slidell and along the coast). But, here you have the trendy, artsy, small town "Main Street" atmosphere overlooking the beautiful boat harbor and the Bay of St. Louis.Street parking is free in front of and all around the restaurant, but depending on the day & time of day, parking can be a challenge *anywhere* in downtown Bay St. Louis, most especially if you're not able to walk any distance. It's not really an issue for younger or able-bodied people. There's a parking garage also, about 2 short blocks away.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible.“

“Found the Bay seafood company while in town. It definitely did not disappoint. I got the Hamburger basket with a salad and the fried pickles. The hamburger was real hamburger meat and cooked to order. The fried pickles were delicious. My sister and niece got the Bay boil and steam which had shrimp, crab legs, corn on the cob and potatoes with garlic butter and spicy butter. They had only wonderful things to say about their platter and judging by only shells left behind it is safe to say they enjoyed it. They said the seafood was fresh and cooked to order. The staff was very friendly and treated us like family. Our drinks never got below half full. Very attentive and very sweet ladies. We have definitely found the mom and pop seafood restaurant that we will visit when we are back in town.Parking: Plenty of places to park for free.“

“We showed up an hour early for our reservation, bad timing on my part but we ended up getting lucky and got a table after about 20 minutes. We had a great dinner and additionally I wanted to thank Adam for making my birthday dinner exactly what I wanted it to be. Even though I didn't tell you it was my birthday because I didn't want the attention or sparkler.“

“Stopped by on a Monday afternoon for a late lunch. I ordered the old fashion which was made with rye. An interesting change from my usual bourbon. My spouse had the margarita, which was very good. The fried green tomatoes are must. Just perfect. The seafood gumbo was tasty but served in a shallow bowl, which made for a small portion. The club sandwich was delicious and served with house made chips. Service was prompt and friendly. We had a table by the window with a nice view of the beach.“

“We love this place! Here are pics from our most recent visit, when we sat at the kitchen bar and watched the spectacular meals being made by the friendly and conversational cooks. On this trip, we had a bottle of wine and two specials: crawfish bread for an appetizer - stellar! - and a giant soft-shelled crab atop Asian-spiced rice with chunks of lobster - even more stellar! Each dish was sauced to perfection. We watched as steaks were grilled, side dishes were sauteed and this beautiful whole flounder was treated so lovingly and the proud chef held it up for us to photograph. We've never had a bad bite here, and come back almost every time we visit Bay St. Louis. Two other dishes that we really, really love are the bouillabaisse and the fried artichoke. We often share that combination for dinner, because the servings here are LARGE.Even if you're not hungry for lunch or dinner, or have reservations somewhere else, it's great to sit outside and enjoy one of their handmade cocktails, and do some people-watching of the always entertaining tourists and locals on the main drag in this tiny seaside town. Put Thorny Oyster on your list! The only negative is that it can get very loud when the restaurant is full - and on those days, we just take an outside table.“
