“What a surprise, we'd passed it by for months but heard good reviews from neighbors so we stopped in for a later lunch. Service was friendly and prompt. Food was hot, tasty and plentiful. Enjoyed talking to our waiter about his life in Bali.Give it a try. It's nice to support local small businesses that serve good, 'home' cooking while also working to continue improving our town.”

“Don't let the sign out front fool you lmao...Upon arrival, I thought for sure this was a New Orleans knock off serving school cafeteria red beans and rice. When I left....and every time I eat there, I find the word, "New Orleans" misspelled on the sign to be endearing. This place is the real deal and the food is too.... the atmosphere and food feel like one of the best warehouse district brunch spot New Orleans has to offer ..... authentic and amazing.....now yall go get ya some of dat eggs benedict cochon”

“My grandson had the best birthday ever. We flew in for lunch and everyone from the hospitality on the taramac to entrance through the front doors and beyond gave us all such a warm and welcoming and friendly greeting. The pilots that were flying in and out made my grandson eager to learn more about aviation.Several pilots more than willing gave my grandson thier time to speak with him and encourage his curiosty of aviation. The homade mac and cheese was the bedt !Thanks to his aunt Leilani and uncle Tony Rosebaum for taking him up on his first flight. Great atmosphere all around.Kid-friendliness: My grandson was in awe of the military training pilots that took thier time to speak with him encouraging him in the field of aviation. Several also gave him patches off their uniforms. He said it was the best birthday ever!”

“My husband, daughter and I stumbled on this restaurant heading home from Louisiana to Florida and we cannot say enough good things about the food, the service or the overall atmosphere. In my 64 years I don't know of a Mexican meal I have enjoyed more. I hate I live so far away but will definitely put this on my must do list next trip I am headed west.”
“Just a little hole in the wall in a convenience store, but the food is plentiful and good and reasonably priced. The staff friendly and helpful.Parking: Parking in front of the building.”
“Freaking yum!! The doughnuts are so soft and fresh. They are slam full of fillings too! That makes all the difference in the world. This is my third visit and it’s been consistently delicious every time. Highly recommend! I would love for them to offer cake doughnuts as well.”

“The food is great. I had the catfish wrap and it was delicious! Marty had the cheese burger and he said it was the best he's had in a long time. Service was great and it is close to home for us. The menu is pretty diverse and they make great snow balls!! You must try it out!!”

“Great food . The service was terrible . This is not going to stop me from going there. I didn't leave a tip on drinks and was trying to leave for 45 minutes and had to get my own take out boxes to go .”
“Gives new meaning to dive...in a great way. Super friendly owner (Steve, I think) and bar man. Our friend who is a big Packer/Brett Favre fan had to go - for why, see: of stuff on the walls and ceilings worth asking and talking about. I think they only serve beer (and a cider - Angry Orchard), along with...heating up pizzas....smoking is outside...open 1pm to 8 am on weekends.”
“We love Lazy Magnolia Beer. We were excited to visit in person. Website hours said they were open from 10-6 on Sunday. We drove 40 minutes and got there to a closed brewery. The hours on the door said open… the voicemail said they were open. Another couple sat out front confused. Update your hours please we’d love to try again and I’ll delete this if it was a mistake….Update 12/9/23: We tried again on Saturday. We asked about them being closed when the hours said they were open and they explained they closed early due to lack of business. It was unfortunate for us l, but I get it. We enjoyed the flights we got and the pizza and meatballs were good. The staff was friendly. I’d call before I went on a Sunday though.”

“Pricing is abit high for the fact it's a subway. Which I love a good sub. I literally paid like 18 dollars for a sandwich that used to be 8 dollars. So I won't be back due to that.”

“We love this place! Here are pics from our most recent visit, when we sat at the kitchen bar and watched the spectacular meals being made by the friendly and conversational cooks. On this trip, we had a bottle of wine and two specials: crawfish bread for an appetizer - stellar! - and a giant soft-shelled crab atop Asian-spiced rice with chunks of lobster - even more stellar! Each dish was sauced to perfection. We watched as steaks were grilled, side dishes were sauteed and this beautiful whole flounder was treated so lovingly and the proud chef held it up for us to photograph. We've never had a bad bite here, and come back almost every time we visit Bay St. Louis. Two other dishes that we really, really love are the bouillabaisse and the fried artichoke. We often share that combination for dinner, because the servings here are LARGE.Even if you're not hungry for lunch or dinner, or have reservations somewhere else, it's great to sit outside and enjoy one of their handmade cocktails, and do some people-watching of the always entertaining tourists and locals on the main drag in this tiny seaside town. Put Thorny Oyster on your list! The only negative is that it can get very loud when the restaurant is full - and on those days, we just take an outside table.”

“A little gem of a family spot with sunrise themes and sailboats. It looks like a dive in a parking lot from the outside, but all who enter are welcomed with a smile and great food. While they don’t have a spot in the beach, they are serving up great omelettes and pancakes in a clean and friendly environment!”

“Comfortable Locale, Mixed Service ExperienceMockingbird Cafe in Bay St. Louis offers a cheerful, local-favorite vibe that captures the essence of a small-town gathering spot. The cafe is generally buzzing with a friendly atmosphere, making it a pleasant spot for a casual meal.On the food front, the dishes are commendable. The biscuit with gravy and chicken was hearty and satisfying, the avocado toast topped with a fried egg was prepared well, and the Wonderland salad was fresh and flavorful. Each dish was prepared with care and contributed to a very good dining experience. However, I found the service setup less than ideal for my preferences, especially during the weekend. The need to order at the counter, which had a lengthy 25-minute line, detracted from the relaxed weekend breakfast experience I was looking forward to. During weekdays, the requirement to order via web or phone also detracts from the traditional dining experience where one can disconnect from the devices for an hour and can order directly from a human being.Overall, Mockingbird Cafe is a charming spot worth visiting for its quality food and warm ambiance, though be prepared for a less conventional service method that may not appeal to everyone.”

“Overall, dining at this restaurant was a delight from start to finish. The delicious food, amazing service from Sissy, & charming atmosphere made for a memorable experience. Situated right off the Bay St Louis/Waveland exit it is perfect for stopping & having a quick bite before continuing on your journey. The portion sizes are large, I was able to take 1/2 my meal & appetizer home. The fried fish & grilled fish basket are fabulous ?, & the hamburger steak meal is sooo good. Try the onion rings!!! ?I highly recommend this Cafe!”

“Delicious daiquiris in Diamondhead! This little drink bar is so cute and friendly. You used to have to drive to the Bay to get a daiquiri but now you can get one right here in Diamonhead. The king cake is seasonal so get it while you can! It's made with lactose free ingredients and vodka, and topped with classic Mardi Gras pride. We also ordered the mango and margarita flavors to make a mango margarita. The drinks hit just right.”

“We absolutely love this place. When we go to visit the area, The Ugly Pirate is on the agenda! The outside area has plenty of seating. The decor inside is super funky. The staff has always been kind every time we go. And the pizza is delicious! They have multiple beers on tap, as well as hard ciders and a couple kinds of seltzers.”

“Best coffee I ever had. My favorite place for a hot large latte sugar-free hazelnut most places don’t have sugar, free or only sugar-free vanilla, but they have lots of sugar free choices.”
