“One of the best restaurants I’ve ate at in a long time, I took my wife here on our 8yr anniversary. We are not from the area and just took a guess as to which place would be good in town. We loved the wine selection and enjoyed our waiter.”

“My boyfriend loved his pork chops and cocktails from the drink menu. I have been to taste 4 times and order the Pan Seared Chicken every time. This time the chicken was dry and there was a total of 4 sun dried tomatoes in the chicken. Typically there's more to taste. That was upsetting so If I return I'll definitely order extra in my chicken. Our waitress Olivia was great and the restaurant is always clean and staff is friendly.”

“A Casual barbecue joint in downtown Starkville. Seats about 20 or 30 people. Really good brisket and ribs. The sides are really good. The only thing I wish they had was hot barbecue sauce. They have different flavors and some of them are spicy, but I mean temperature hot. Their sauce is room temperature. Otherwise it’s a great place to eat and we eat there often when we go back to Starkville.”

“Great food, live music, outdoor environment very entertaining, and overall fun. I had the seafood linguine and it was spicy but I love spicy food so it was delicious. 10/10 would recommend.”

“Sat at the bar and hung out with Awesome Abigail on a Tuesday night and had some amazing food and drinks! The carpaccio was stellar! The tuna tartare was so delicious and the chopped salad was scrumptious! Abigail did a great job and kept the drinks coming! We had something with butter pecan old fashioned is to die for!”

“The new location is much better! Modern beautiful decor and ambiance. It was super busy after the baseball game and our service was very slow but that was understandable although I would highly recommend more staffing for big events. We started out with the grilled Caesar salad which I found delicious but would Have asked for the dressing to be light as it was a lot. We both had the 8 oz filet which was seasoned and cooked to perfection. For sides between us we got creamed spinach, potatoes, greens and French fries. My creamed spinach was creme with a few flakes of spinach. The greens were heavy with bacon and my mash potatoes were very seasoned as well. I realize, since MS is my hometown, that heavy cream, sauces, and seasonings are a delicacy in MS but I prefer to really taste my food. I would also recommend more bland sides like a simple baked or roasted potatoes and lightly seasoned veggies for those who don't want their food drenched. Overall, we would go again maybe when less crowded”

“Man, did we have a blast! It was karaoke night. Me and my girls went and had some fun. We really enjoyed ourselves! It was the best place to be on Wednesday night. “This restaurant has the best Mexican food I have ever had. I got shrimp tacos the shrimp were cooked perfect not over cooked. Also the rice and beans were awsome. It was so good I will be back and with my friends and family.”

“Soo from my experience the workers there are very kind and very attentive, but that can change depending on how busy they are. I usually get the Hibachi all the time, but sometimes I get the rolls as well which both are pretty amazing. It's decently affordable during lunch time and it does go up a little bit during dinner, but it's at a understandable price. It's like any other typical hibachi place. I would recommend it if you're ever in the mood for it.”

“I’m a huge fan of Jersey Mike’s, have been for years so any review of mind is biased at best but their food is “amazing and always” fresh and delicious. The other guys Subway, Fire House, and burger joints just can’t compare. From my humble opinion Jersey Mike’s is the ultimate sandwich period !!!!!”

“I went there for lunch and got their Blue Plate/ Lunch special ( It was the Fried Chicken with crawfish sauce, mashed potatoes, butter beans, 2 pieces of French bread and unsweetened tea. The picture attached is where I had a couple of bites before taking it. So the food presentation was A+. Jake my Server was definitely on top with everything and was very professional and quick with my requests. Definitely recommend him as a Server if you are visiting there. I also got the desert which was the Tiramisu with vanilla bean ice cream. It was also excellent. This has been my 3rd time there and they did not disappoint.”

“Hot and fresh was our experience. The restaurant is not fancy and small so tables are close. We sat by the door and there were a lot of to-go orders picked up, so the door was opening and closing frequently. Other than the proximity to the door, dinner was fine and good service.”

“I love Newks because the food is great, tasty, and quite different from anything you get elsewhere. The service is always friendly and efficient. There is no ridiculously loud music playing. You can actually carry on conversation while you eat, unlike dining at Peppers which I find painful.”

“My favorite coffee place ever!! I have a weekly visit to sit and knit or crochet and drink coffee and listen to music and just exist for a bit. The atmosphere is so welcoming and the staff have gotten good at remembering my usual order!! That's absolutely amazing! It's also great when I bring my kids, my youngest gets a kid temp hot chocolate with all the whip cream. Food is always great, the energy balls are perfect for grab and go. I truly look forward to visiting! If you're looking for FABULOUS coffee, great atmosphere and yummy snacks, look no further! They have it all!”

“I was in the area for work and initially went to a Japanese spot nearby...completely forgot it was valentines day and the Japanese place was ridiculously crowded. I took a chance on this place...was a bit nervous because it was empty. I ordered the shrimp spring rolls and chicken pho to go. Peanut butter dipping sauce for rolls was really good. I didn't like the proportion of shrimp to lettuce in the rolls. I'm used to more of a balanced roll. They were fresh and light. Pho was tasty. I ordered the small which was plenty! The broth had nice flavor and they packed everything well. I'm pretty sure they are the only Pho spot in town...wake up Starckville. Lol. Show this place some love.”

I was actually given the presence of one of the managers “Cam” who was very welcoming and made our visit a lot more special. Let's talk about their gyros - simply divine! But what really stole the show were the deep-fried Oreos - a delightful twist on a classic treat that left us craving for more. “First time try got the deli. Got a club sandwich Togo and although the online menu stated all sandwiches come with a pickle spear and a celery stick, there is no pickle and celery stick in my bag. Slightly disappointed but the sandwich was good. The price came out to be $12 just for the sandwich.”

I was skeptical at first as I had been food poisoned by a different Zaxbys in the past. But this one blew me away. Have always ordered the Big Zax Snack and it never disappoints. Sprite is always fizzy and sweet, is never out at the drink machine, overall a great place. Garlic bread is perfect every time, the seasoning on the fries reminds me of some good memories, and the chicken is ALWAYS juicy. Couldn't ask for a better place to go grab something for the road or for movie time at the house. Staff is willing to converse and is always polite and friendly. 10 stars.”

“They have reopened in the Research Park for a lunch buffet and now are doing a breakfast buffet. The lunch is usually good and well attended during the week. We just tried breakfast for the first time and it was good as well. The sausage was delicious and tasted homemade. The star was the biscuit. It was tall, fluffy and buttery. We'll for sure be coming back.”

“I’ve had some good and bad experiences at this waffle house. But today was definitely a very very good one. Friendly and fast service, order was correct and fast, and just had a overall great experience today.”

“Found a Cookout while in town for work. I walked in, and waited at the front counter for almost 5 minutes. Finally a young girl, in a blue/red tie dye shirt walks over and just looks at me. No words, no uniform, nothing. I am still waiting on an employee and she says, 'are you going to order?" I place my order and pay. No thank you, no...your order will be ready in a little bit, nothing. She turns and walks away. She definitely needs more training on how to interact with customers and dress accordingly.”
