“While visiting Raleigh, we stopped in to this delightful hot honey chicken eatery. I had the Carolina Reaper. Advice: Get the sauce on the side. It is a spicy devil. My everlasting love for eternity got the classic, which we split, of course. We shared fries with 2 different aioli sauces. We also shared a side of Mac and cheese. A little dry but quite tasty. No drinks or desserts this time, but I'm sure we will be returning.“

“Wow! I was encouraged by the reviews; however Michael made our experience one to remember! He was attentive and genuine. We were celebrating my bday so we started with dessert!! The best benets ever!!! The oysters are fresh and perfectly charred. Gumbo was one for the books. Do not hesitate to eat here!“

“Fabulous service at the bartop. Roy's recommendations were impeccable and considerate of dietary restrictions. The food was outstanding and wine pairings complemented well. Highly recommend sourcing from the starters and sides to get the most variety, unless you wish to commit to the steak or full entree. Oysters and acorn squash were a great combo. I appreciated the ability to do a GF dessert (elevated ice cream sundae!) to top off the night. Thank you!!“

“Really really enjoyed the visit! Old World decor and charm, great service, Thanks Kayla, wonderful selection of authentic Tapas, I need to go back, there's so much more unexplored to try! Maybe just seafood this time. There are so many combinations. Keep up the great work!“

“I've always had amazing times and meals at CC16, whether it's family brunch or date night or even private events in the restaurant.Everything about the restaurant feels homey and inviting from the decor to the service and the menu. It's an icon of downtown Raleigh and I'm devastated that it's closing.I'll be going back a few more times in the coming week to support them and say goodbye. It's a hard loss but I'm looking forward to following and supporting their future ventures with their food truck.“

“Had the best meal ever, again! I'm never disappointed when I eat at J Alexanders. The wait was an hour, so we sat at the bar. Emily took care of us with another handsome (African-American) man (wish I would have gotten his name). They were both so attentive and detail oriented. I can't say enough about my favorites offerings... ThaiKai Salad, Steak and Frites (perfect temperature) and the Carrot Cake. The service and atmosphere are wonderful too but will take second place to the fabulous food.“

“Our family has a wonderful time at Irregardless tonight! Our waitress Amanda was always on point, everything came out quite timely. Two of our party members are vegan and they were very happy with the selection of vegan and gluten free options. The tandoori tofu and sweet potatoes enchiladas were delicious! The shrimp sausage in the Rigatoni tasted just like regular sausage. Unfortunately, the chicken was quite dry and we needed extra dressing with the Caesar salad.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options. Our waitress made sure to ask if there were any allergies that the kitchen needed to be aware of“

“Nothing beats a passionate chef. Tonight was my first experience, and it's only the beginning! The staff was amazing and did not make me feel rushed. 5-star plus. I've never been to a restaurant where all the mussels were open and full of flavor until Northside Bistro. It was impressive and absolutely delicious, and they also serve some of the best cocktails I've ever had!“

“A foodie's delight, Stanbury has set the bar high for any newcomers to the Raleigh food scene. They have some of the freshest seafood I have eaten in the area. They layer complex textures and flavors, and the balance of salt, fat and acid in every dish is near perfect. Their menu rotates, but the standouts during our last visit were the bone marrow, oysters minuet and the steak (when we went it was served with a mole/bbq sauce on the side...mmmm). Stanbury has been our favorite restaurant in Raleigh for over a decade, and I don't see anyone toppling them in the near future.“

“Vegetarian options: Black bean burger grilled or fried is good with all the extra toppings you can add, for a price, but still good.Dietary restrictions: My disabled sister needs soft food, so I always order her the grilled Black Bean burger and the broccoli. Today the broccoli was cooked perfectly for her. The whole meal she ate and it smelled incredible. Thank you“

“I cannot say enough great thing about The Oak!! We got the Birria tacos to start and they were amazing, the perfect blend of savory and spice. The drinks were fantastic, the Pirates Garden was the BEST cocktail I've had in a long time??For dinner we had the pork shoulder and sea bass. The pork shoulder was served over a bed of delicious & creamy Mac n cheese and the Brussel sprouts... the entire dish was mouth watering. I highly recommend this place to EVERYONE!“

“We ate here for our anniversary and really enjoyed it! We made reservations for 2 at the bar because all the table reservations before 9 pm were full, but when we arrived, a table was open and offered to us, which was really nice! (LIkely, we also would have been happy at the bar, but I'm pregnant, so the comfy booth seat was welcome.) The service was superlative, both from our attentive server and others who jumped in any time they walked by and saw something that could be done. The non-alcoholic cocktail was fantastic! Both food and drink menus are curated rather than extensive. We are parents of a small child who rarely get out to restaurants, so when we do go, we love to taste a variety of options on the menu. Your ordering style may vary. For starters, we ordered the yellowfin crudo (a standout and possibly the best dish from my perspective) and crispy porcelet belly (very tasty, although the skin was more tough and chewy than crispy). The manchego-herb biscuits were amazing in taste and texture, like, how do they do that? For entrees, we had the lamb loin and bavette steak. My lamb was nice, but the flavor of the steak dish (my husband's) was unreal. (Normally, I would have ordered the seafood, but the only option was swordfish, and I had already used up my weekly serving of potentially-high-in-mercury seafood with the yellowfin crudo, worth it!) After sharing two appetizers, biscuits, and an entree each, we were really full. However, I had been anticipating the triple cheesecake with rhubarb, so we got a portion to go. It was unusual - very strong on the savory cheese flavor in the cake - but we both really liked it. (Would I have liked more rhubarb? Yes, but I love rhubarb, and not everyone agrees. Rhubarb skeptics, this is a safe dish for you.) Two starters, two entrees, a side, two drinks each, and one dessert put our total just north of $200. Not a huge consideration for us, but it's a small-ish space with dark decor and modern, minimal lighting. I've spoken with others who remembered it as a bit cramped. The music is... not quiet... with prominent bass, but we sat next to each other and were able to talk. We definitely plan to go back. Edited to add: We were also really impressed by the short ticket times! Our food came out very promptly, and we finished three courses and had our take-out dessert ready to go in just over an hour. We also didn't feel rushed, as though we could have lingered without any pressure from the server to free up the table. As folks who no longer get out much, that's a huge plus.“

“Solid place to come if you are looking to watch a sports game, have some cocktails with friends or a date and grab a bite to eat - and the North Hills area is very pleasant. Also, let's be real here you guys - as an "up and coming" area, there isn't an extensive collection of late night dining options in the Triangle, and the kitchen here stays open until 1AM - and they have POKE (my fav). I came in last night with a friend for dinner and drinks after the Carolina Hurricanes vs Pens game at PNC arena - this was one of the only dining options we were aware of that was open after the game (11PM?) on a Friday night. My friend ordered the Nashville Hot Chicken (I am currently doting on gluten free and mainly vegetarian options - but I do eat meat) and I ordered the Poke tuna - gluten free style - which was quality.“

“Some great food items, the Maria quesadilla with shrimp is really good, make sure Maria is there to make it. Sunday breakfast omelettes all day, I like to get grits and hash browns or home fries with the hearty omelette. Good Burgers here, worth the money here, don’t be afraid to edit them. Upgrading to buffalo chips (seasoned potato slices fried) from fries for 2 bucks is worth every penny. Fries are also good. Great shrimp tacos for 3 bucks on Wednesday. Wings are pretty good, they’re on special Tuesday, garlic parm sauce style are delicious. Best 4 dollar side salad I get weekly too. Good people come here too for brewskies and/or shots, I love the regulars here. Thanks for reading.“

“We had a wonderful four course wine dinner starring Honig wines. Each course was paired perfectly with the wine. We had two whites and two reds. Our courses consisted of fried green tomato, lobster spring roll, lamb chops and finally sliced filet steak with fingerling potatoes. Food was delicious and the wine pours were generous. I go to many wine dinners this is one of the finer ones I highly recommend Bloomsbury Bistro.“

“We visited Wye Hill this past Saturday for brunch. We made a reservation online and you get a confirmation. Before the reservation, they texted clear instructions of where to park (free/paid), which was nice. The reservation we made was for the rail seating, but they have other options where you can sit. The outdoor patio is huge with ample seating for a variety of party sizes. The hostess that greeted us and the one that seated us were both very pleasant. Our server was Noah, who did an amazing job. Never rushed us, always checked in at the right time. I love the concept that whoever is available brings the food and drinks as they're ready. This gives the servers who are busy, a chance to wait on their tables as needed without the food/drinks waiting on them. The water cups that they brought out both had random things floating in them. The table that we were seated on wasn't the cleanest, but we were also sitting outside.Drinks: They have a large selection of cocktails and beer. We tried the bloody mary and the Astral Whip IPA. Both were good. The bloody had a slight kick but nothing overwhelming so many could enjoy it. The IPA was flavorful and refreshing.Food: The brussels sprouts. Enough said!!! They were SO good and flavorful. I am still thinking about them to this day. They do provide large portions which is nice given the price. The sauce on the brussels sprouts wasn't lacking and was fabulous. 10/10. The brunch options we ordered were omelette and a breakfast sandwich. The omelette looked fabulous and it's nice to have a meatless option. I ordered the breakfast sandwich without the sausage. I would have subbed a meatless option but they didn't have any. The egg wasn't fried as stated, more over medium. The yolk was messy and it was difficult to eat the sandwich as a sandwich. The breakfast potatoes weren't seasoned much and were very bland. They do charge a small kitchen fee of 3% on the total bill. Before the tip, we spent $82.79. Overall, we enjoyed the atmosphere and the food/drinks. We will come back and try new items.“

“I got the buffalo wings with onion rings and sweet tea. It was all pretty good but what stood out to me was the service. Our server Brunna was fantastic. She assisted our 9 person table with a kind and calm professionalism that should be the standard for all Bad Daddy's restaurants and the food service industry as a whole. Even when she wasn't actively talking with our table she was aware of our needs that came up in conversation. Truly above and beyond. Thank you Brunna for ensuring everyone was well taken care of and especially for making sure the sweet tea was fantastic.“

“Absolutely loved the food and atmosphere. My fiance took me here for my birthday and it was definitely a vibe. The only negative is that they do not have enough outdoor heaters for you to enjoy the rooftop in cooler months so we had to dine inside but the inside view was still lovely. The ribs, wings, and charcuterie board were all delicious especially the ribs! Would for sure go back.“

“Cool place to play trivia or to watch a game. They have a good selection of drinks and food items. During those times the bar will be pretty busy but they'll usually find a way to seat you or you might be able to grab a spot at the bar. In terms of food I recommend their hot dogs (tasty and good price) as well as their chicken tenders and fries. If you like home made chips that's also a good option for you as the portion is generous. The Reuben is VERY salty so I don't recommend it.“

“We had a wonderful first time experience at this restaurant. Our food and service was amazing. I don’t remember our servers name but I want him to be recognized. He made a point to ask what we were doing this weekend and when he heard about my daughters fundraising walk we were going to he not only asked about her condition, he donated to her cause and told his co workers about it. This means a lot to us as we are always trying to spread awareness on Angelman Syndrome. I didn’t get his name but it’s an experience I’ll remember forever.“

“My recent visit to Jose and Son Mexican Restaurant in Raleigh left me thoroughly impressed. From the moment we walked in, Tontesa, our waitress, showered us with exceptional service, especially considering our large family, predominantly comprised of kids. One of the standout features of our dining experience was the generous portion sizes of the food. Whether it was the sizzling fajitas or the mouthwatering enchiladas, every dish exceeded expectations in both flavor and quantity. Jose and Son certainly understand the importance of satisfying their patrons' appetites!Tontesa's attentive and friendly demeanor added an extra layer of enjoyment to our meal, making us feel welcomed and valued throughout our time there. Her ability to manage our bustling group with grace and efficiency was truly commendable. As we left, already planning our next visit to Raleigh, we couldn't help but reflect on the delightful experience we had at Jose and Son Mexican Restaurant. “I've been told about the Beer Garden but hadn't made it yet. I just got off a plane and needed cupcakes for a birthday. I landed at Gigi's and saw all these people and outdoor seating, so it must be a hoping good place. Looked up, and it's rhe Beer Garden. I was able to get a closed in table in the corner. Private and people watching... good combo. My server, Conrad, was great! Good conversation and great food recommendations. The spicy sauce for the tacos was on time! The Mozzarella risotto balls were so cheesy and delicious. Per the recommendation, I also got some sort of pineapple cider. Dry and not too sweet. Great food, great patio, nice wood decor inside. I do not drink beer, but if you can't find a beer or cider you like here, it's a problem. I will be back!“
