I recently had an extremely disappointing experience with Stir Raleigh that left a sour taste in my mouth. As a new customer who heard raving review was looking forward to celebrating my birthday at this establishment, I was appalled by their lack of professionalism and disregard for customer service. I made a reservation well in advance (5 days before )for my birthday dinner, providing all the necessary details, including the date, time, and party size. I was assured that a confirmation text would be sent to me to solidify the reservation. Unfortunately, that text never arrived. Considering the importance of the occasion, I decided to take the initiative and called the restaurant to confirm my reservation. To my dismay, the restaurant informed me that the time slot I had requested was no longer available. I was shocked and frustrated, as I had specifically made plans based on the assumption that my reservation was secured. The lack of communication and failure to honor my reservation left me scrambling to find an alternative venue at the last minute. It was an unnecessary stress and disappointment on what should have been a special day. What bothered me the most was the restaurant's dismissive attitude when I called to inquire about the situation. The staff seemed unapologetic and unsympathetic to the inconvenience they had caused. Instead of taking responsibility for their mistake, they merely shrugged it off as if it was a routine occurrence. Such indifference towards customer satisfaction is unacceptable and reflects poorly on the establishment. A restaurant's success heavily relies on providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a memorable dining experience. Regrettably, Stir failed to meet even the most basic standards. There are plenty of other restaurants in the area that value their customers and understand the significance of providing a seamless dining experience. I will be taking my business elsewhere in the future.
