“My wife and my 2 adult children and their spouses went to On the Square last night for our (3) May wedding anniversaries. We had 3 of their appetizers (Pork Belly, Scallops, and Beef Carpaccio) - all excellent. For dinner, we had the ribeye, lamb and salmon dishes. We passed them around so all got to sample each and all were excellently prepared. To finish the night off, we got the carrot cake, caramel cake and the strawberry shortcake biscuit. Each of these were beautifully prepared and were photo worthy (we texted pictures to friends and said they had to have them when they came to eat). Probably one of the best meals we have had in a long time. My daughter and son and their spouses were still talking about the meal until they left to travel back to their homes today. The service was also exceptional. Our server, Kaytlynn was very friendly, offered suggestions (all which were excellent) and made sure we had all we need for our special day. Thank you Inez and your staff for a great night and a great memory for our anniversaries.”

“This is the only brewery within the area. I've seen TBC beers around the state of NC, esp the eastern region, however, I never really tasted it until recently. When I was there last weekend, I tried the IPA. I did like the beer (though it wasn't my favorite ever). The service was quick and the beertender was responsive and friendly. The atmosphere was pretty dull and underwhelming, except for in a good way. It was relaxing to chill outside and watch people drive around the town. This place seems like a great spot for locals to hang out, and they appear very invested in the community hosting and advertising for local events.”

“Started working in the area about 2 years ago and I stumbled onto the place by accident, and I'm glad I did. The food is very good and consistent but the atmosphere is not so hot, I mean not for me anyway. I'm ex-Navy so I've been to a lot of places in my life and I know what's good. I come about once a week and take it back to work for lunch or take it home for dinner. I'm happy :)”

“Always a Treat to visit Starbucks! I have recently been battling a terrible "Summer Cold" and someone recommended the special Secret Menu 'Medicine Ball' drink which is basically a Honey Mint Citrus Tea, and I'm so glad they did!! It definitely has helped ease my symptoms and warm my sore throat. My favorite go-to for food is the Vanilla Bean Custard Danish and The Bacon Egg and Cheese Crossaint. The staff are always polite and helpful and greet you upon entry.”

“My wife and I eat here on Tuesdays. I consider the food to be on par with more expensive places, and a bargain at her prices. Chef Kelly is very nice and works exceptionally hard. She is a one person operation right now so don’t be in a hurry, but in my opinion it’s worth the wait.”

“I came across this business while looking for places around town to get a burger and I always start by reading the bad reviews to get a gauge on how the managers and stuff handle their mistakes. Like burnt food, wrong orders, etc and I noticed one review which was clearly written by a kid (Since the spelling was really bad) but the reply from the business owner is what got to me. I was filled with caps locked words. exclamation points and the 'This is a black owned business' excuse. I mean no disrespect with this review and it is mostly a question to the owner. That question being. Why does skin color even matter in business? I'm sure your food is normally good and people have off days when stuff doesn't go as good as it normally should but businesses should stand on quality goods and services, not the owner's skin color”

“I am actually learning to love Jersey Mike's subs. I love the BLT on any type of bread because they give a hearty portion of crispy bacon (which I love). The service was good at this location, and I was in and out in about 10 minutes. When I was there, someone was being escorted our by emergency medical service personnel from the bathroom, which was odd. But overall, it was a good experience at the Tarboro, NC location.”
