“Stroll is the best! The selection of food and beverage options is diverse and is a guaranteed treat each time. I've also booked Stroll to cater an event and the process was easy and the charcuterie boards were a hit! Certainly will be a longtime customer here.“

“Bridge Street is one of the best kept secrets in Portsmouth. Is it even a secret, really? Set just off to the side of the main strip, Bridge Street is tucked in among the houses of Portsmouth residents. It is some of the best French food I’ve had outside of France, too. Their wine list is great, their chef is spectacular, and their service is mostly good but can sometimes be so-so (we’ve dined her probably five times and only had one not the best experience, so more good than so-so). Their Filet au Poivre and Coq au Van are two delightful recommendations and be sure you don’t skip dessert!“

“My mom and I met my niece here for lunch. This was our first visit but won’t be our last. The food and service were great. Portion sizes were more than we could eat. Thanks to our waitress for letting us hang out and visit for a while. Cool atmosphere too!“

“They have a great filet mignon That I know, but yet every time I come in, But tonight I came in Nick. A great bartender. Was ready to order my filet but I surprised him and changed it up, I had them make me a special dish. I described the few things in it. Nick pointed to a certain thing on the menu and we did a few changes it was great.“

“Stopped in on a whim with my better half after considering eating my own arm during a dental appointment. Very clean, awesome decor. Was a bit hesitant on the menu online when I read stuff with figs and goat cheese and whatnot. Tried it anyways and ERHMAGHERD. I would consider commiting mild crimes to maintain a supply of the meatball panini they make, but before I even get to that the fries were incredible. If I lived any closer to this place my personal vehicle would be a forklift and my wardrobe would consist of various brightly colored tarps.TLDR: It's very clean and the food is really good! Also pricing was very fair.“

“Food was very good. However ambiance is noisy and hard edged. Not sure sports bar effect is right for the most expensive restaurant in Portsmouth. Maybe that combination attracts many more big spending customers, which would make the Tuscan team smarter than me.“

“This was a wonderful evening in an upscale coastal country vibe restaurant with truly exceptional food and service! Our server, Amber, was attentive and made great recommendations with a very warm and friendly demeanor. We started our meal with wonderfully prepared cocktails and appetizers of oysters, mushroom toast, and pasta with truffles - all AMAZING! We also had the fried olives which we found unexceptional. Dinner was top notch!!!! Our entrees included, Grilled Swordfish, Halibut and Sea Scallops - all incredibly tasty and beautifully prepared and served! The price seemed reasonable for this caliber of food. We will most definitely return! This is a special spot!“

“This establishment is a MUST visit in Kittery! Perfect for date nights, family gatherings, and group parties. I come here to wind down after a long day. I have had everything on the menu...all choices are excellent. Apparently there's a new menu for summer 2024 coming out shortly and outdoor summer dining will be available too.Chloe is an artist with everything she prepares. Patrick will serve with a smile from an excellent selection of wines, beer, cider, and drafts. They even have non-alcoholic options. Amending my review with the dessert...the Chocolate Tart, made by Chloe....insanely good.Parking: Dan's crossing parking and street parking is available.“

“Was here for a reserved dinner buffet style for 22 people for my brother's wedding rehearsal dinner. The drinks were awesome. Well made and you could tell it was an experienced bartender. The main course and side dishes were top-notch notch delicious. Before I continue let me just say I am SUPER picky about food. There was chicken breast with a type of Cranberry stuffing that was amazing chicken was tender and moist and the stuffing was so delicious. There was Fish with a type of stuffing that was awesome fish was tender flaky and perfectly cooked. There was a steak tip dish but I did not try it however the rest of the party all said it was very delicious. The side dishes were mixed green salad, baby oven-roasted seasoned potatoes, and oven-roasted mixed vegetables broccoli cauliflower, etc. I had the salad and baby potatoes and both were fantastic. There was only one type of salad dressing it was a creamy balsamic and it was absolutely delicious only wish there were a couple of different choices and there were no croutons but these are just personal preferences. Now onto dessert...there was regular cheesecake chocolate cheesecake and apple streusel. The regular cheesecake was ok but the chocolate cheesecake was yucky and the apple streusel was horrible. I could not even eat it and my father who eats just about anything couldnt eat it either. Mind you I love everything apple and apple streusel is my favorite. I've had some not great apple streusel but this was the worst I've ever had.Our waitress was fantastic. The atmosphere was really nice.It was not extremely clean but I'm a clean freak so things bother me like dust on light shades and on window sills where I'm eating.Parking: Parking was extremely difficult. We had to drive around again and again and again and again and again before we spotted a car pulling out of a parking spot and then it was like piranha fighting over the spot so at this point we were late for the dinner even though we arrived 20 mins early. Also if you don't know where the entrance to the restaurant is it will take a bit for you to find because it sits way off the road in the mill building and the sign is small and not easy to see from the street.“

“I stumbled upon the roost a few year ago and have had many different experiences, some good, some not so great but Last week I went in during lunch with my wife and our friends. Our waitress was more than amazing! She was very cheerful, fun, knowledgeable and very observant! I am a veteran but also someone who NEVER asks if a restaurant has a veterans discount. Our server noticed my military pin on my jacket and asked if I had served our country, the answer was yes in which she instantly thanked me for my service and informed me that they offer a veterans discount for “those who serve our country”. I was very impressed because no one has ever been so observant as she was as well as having some really great recommendations on food and drinks and was able to carry an awesome conversation with our table! Although she was by herself and somewhat busy (making drinks, cleaning, and delivering food) her service continued to be impeccable and she didn’t even look flustered at all! She also had a very unique name that my wife really fell in love with! Although when she first brought us our check she had forgotten to put the discount on our bill (we did not tell her she had forgotten it) but as soon as she came back over to grab our payment, she realized her mistake and immediately applied the discount for us. My wife, our friends, and I have been to many restaurants and all agreed that this was the best experience we have ever had! We will be back again to visit our new favorite server!“

“We tried the prix fixe here during Portsmouth's Restaurant Week April 2024.The food was well presented and the flavors were pleasant but not particularly distinctive. The Boudin Blanc Meatballs in Pea Puree with Mimolette & pickled vegetables was our favorite. The service was adequate. The highlight of the experience was the cozy rustic ambiance & intimate atmosphere of the first floor dining room, right on the land-side of Ceres Street with a view of the Piscataqua River.“
