Our server Maddy was the best- she made excellent recommendations, she listened and was genuinely helpful and fun. We've been coming here for years for special occasions in the summer and it gets better each time!“

“The Hud is the best bar. To date, it is the only bar I will even consider frequenting. On or off the island it's the best bar around. The atmosphere is fun and the staff is so friendly and accommodating. You can't help but feel welcome the moment you walk through the door. From the shuffleboard table to all the things hanging from the walls there is so much to look at and enjoy. It has the vibe that many others try hard to imitate but seldom do they succeed. It's the dive bar that isn't trying hard to be cool. It just freaking is. Live a little.....try it out and see for yourself...“

“My boyfriend and I spent the weekend in LBI and were scouring where to eat on a quiet February night. A Yelp search led us to the Delaware Avenue oyster house. When we walked in you would have thought it was the middle of summer because this place was hoppin! Always a great sign if you ask me. We waited about ten minutes for a table. This restaurant is mostly just a large bar with a few tables near the windows. It's really cozy and has a fun vibe. Everyone was immersed in conversation and looked like they were having a great time. They have a really great menu with plenty of variety. We started with the fish tacos and the crab fried rice. As I write this I'm still dreaming of this crab fried rice....it was THAT good. The couple next to us referred to it as crack fried rice and I can totally see why. So much flavor and a nice amount of crab!! We then finished up with a pizza as true NJ residents do. It was thin and crispy and perfect. I can't wait to come back in the summer! They seem to do some nice happy hour specials so I'm looking forward to giving them a try!“

“I’ve eaten here twice now. One time with a wait to sit, the other time we sat right away but both times the restaurant was packed. Be prepared to wait if you go here for dinner but I can’t stress enough how much it’s worth the wait. We’ve tried several items off of their menu now across the food spectrum, from pulled pork, to pizza, sushi, and burrata; everything here is phenomenal. Great atmosphere with live music. Like I said, the place is busy so if you’re looking to have a nice quiet dinner this isn’t the spot. No one leaves an empty plate here and if there happen to be leftovers, you’re taking them home. From someone who hates waiting to be seated at restaurants and would rather move on to the next place, I’d gladly wait over an hour here. Also regarding parking, plenty of street parking within a block so no issues.“
