“Had baby backribs and parmigiana roasted chicken the ribs where good and the parmigiana roasted chicken was ok . The Ribs had a very good taste and they weren't to fatty I would definitely order the ribs again. Ordered take out the service was good when I arrived to pick in up it was only like a 2 minute wait.“

“Yum. Excellent kitchen producing some mouth watering offerings. I hesitate to call it BBQ because it didn’t seem barbecue in the traditional American sense. We ordered the Barbecue Chicken and nowhere was there the obligatory thick red glazing. Instead we were treated to a tasty seasoning and light glaze that elevated the chicken. The serving was tender and succulent. We would have taken photos but upon arrival of our meal it disappeared instantly. Steven on top of sticky rice and a killer macaroni salad we were too full to order more. We will be back.Vegetarian options: Tofu option.“

Originally my son requested an Asian buffet, but I said I thought doing hot pot would be so much more fun for a birthday and after it was all over he totally agreed. They have a great special where, on the day of a person’s birthday they can eat free if there are at least six people in the party. So it was nice to be able to take advantage of that. Our server Stephen was outstanding. Not only warm and welcoming, but patient and gracious as we needed a lot of help because we are beginners. We decided to resist temptation and only do hot pot instead of adding the Korean barbecue, which we love. And I am so, so glad we did that because we were full when we left. It never got too crowded and everything was fresh and tasty, and the restaurant itself was clean, which is always fantastic. Looking forward to returning again.“

“We finally made it to Burrito Mix for a little lunch date. It was unbelievable! Brian got the Carne Asada lunch special and I got the steak tacos on flour tortillas. They were so good, but I had to give one taco to Brian. They were stuffed with deliciousness! The server was sweet and the food came out fast! “What a vibe dude. Definitely one of the best bbq joints in Philly. You can tell it’s a labor of love. Delicious meats, nice people, and solid a beer and wine all in a funky neighborhood joint. We literally come weekly for their slappy meal deal. Start with the brisket. Turkey is the sleeper hit.Kid-friendliness: It’s goofy as hell in here. They have an assortment children’s books right out of your memories. Weirdly many of them are about the dentist.“

The Parmesan wings didn't have that same effect on me and I wasn't too sold on the flavor. But, back to the star of the show, the Beyoncé of the menu....the original wings paired with Thai chili sauce on the side. Seriously, Yelpers, whoever seasoned these wings were touched with magical hands. And the wings were rotisserie making it juicy with a slight smoky flavor. Ugh! I'm having flashbacks lol Did I mention that the 1lb was more than enough for 2 adults? It was! Cornbread- sweet and moist, delicious to the last crumb lol. All jokes aside, if I could have a pan of the cornbread and pan of the original wings, I would be a happy woman lol Potatoes- these are some of the best and well seasoned red potatoes and I can almost see it being delicious for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Drinks: my cousin and I ordered the lemonade and my boyfriend ordered the iced tea. All of us can agree on this, they make AMAZING and non-acidic lemonade and iced tea. Perfectly sweetened and so good! Like, amazingly good. I sure wished that they had a similar place like this in DC because nobody holds a candle to the delicious wings that tried at this place. As a foodie, I can tell you whether something is a one hit wonder or a lifetime dream and this place is a lifetime dream. How do I know? Well, while standing on line, a few loyal customers were informing us on what to try and singing the praises of this place for its time in operations. The meat was good, the veggies were cooked perfect but I didn’t like that there were diced onions mixed with the peas carrots & corn (in addition to the grilled peppers and onions). The grilled onions and peppers were fine but didn’t like the extra diced onions. This is also the perfect spot to grab a quick lunch. You go in, order, they chop up the meat, and they'll have it ready for you in 5 minutes or less.
