“Needing a new "go to" place for Chinese food, we ordered our usual favorites...The entire routine, from ordering, to prep time, to cleanliness, to price were great. The food was prepared and packaged better than any other we were accustomed to. We ordered again 2 days later and was equally impressed.A new "go to" !“

“I ordered shrimp and so the guy that was serving me who is clearly new, gave me a little bit too much shrimp, which was completely fine with me and instead of his manager telling him hey next time don’t do that she just in front of me took off like half of the shrimp he gave me and I was so like confused and a little upset because I really like shrimp PLUS he gave me a disproportionate amount of chow mein with my two sides. If you’re going to give me a pound of chow mein, I should be getting some more shrimp. he was cool though. that was kindof rude of her to do that in front of a bunch of customers. anywayyys live laugh love panda express.“

“BJ Fish Soup in Edison, NJ, is an absolute feast for the taste buds! From the moment I stepped into the restaurant, the warm environment and friendly service made me feel incredibly welcomed. The decor is elegant, creating a warm and comfortable dining atmosphere, perfect for family gatherings or catching up with friends. The highlight, of course, is their signature Sour and Spicy Fish. The fish is fresh, tender, and seems to be carefully selected, pairing perfectly with the pickled vegetables. The balance between the freshness of the fish and the tangy crispness of the pickled vegetables is just right, complementing each other beautifully. The broth is rich but not greasy, with a moderate level of spiciness that even those who aren't keen on spicy food can enjoy. Additionally, the restaurant offers a variety of spice levels to satisfy different taste preferences. The portions in Edison, NJ, are generous, offering great value for money. The thoughtful service and delicious dishes have won me over time and again, leaving a lasting impression and a strong desire to return. If you're a fan of high-quality BJ Fish Soup, Edison, NJ, is definitely a place you don't want to miss.“

“Have been there twice, once as 2-person party and the other time as a 10-pac. Really good service and very authentic food both times. Quality of food is consistently good. Their sauerkraut fish soup is unique as not only the fish itself, but also the soup is really good too. Also their Yunnan-style copper pot rice noodle is so authentic with large portions, very impressive even to Yunnan natives.“

“Food was amazing! The service was fast and the staff were super kind! Somebody I think was the owner was super sweet and kept checking in on us! The atmosphere is great, it's a cozy, quiet, little restaurant, perfect for a calm dinner after a long day! We ordered the peking duck and a couple soups, as well as steamed shrimp dumplings. The dumplings were amazing and so were the soups! We got a whole duck for $70, while a bit pricey it was worth every penny! I absolutely adored this restaurant and it will definitely become one of my family's go to Chinese places! Can't reccomend enough!“

“Big group dinner with friends. Definitely love all the food here. Stinky tofu pot is mild flavor so don't expect it like Taiwan style. But as a hotpot, it's good. Lemon fish and pepper chicken are must try! Service is great! The really are on top of all the dishes and very attentive. We will definitely come back for more!“

“This is a hot pot place in Edison that's actually good and if you know what to get or what meat should you choose, you're going to get what you pay for. It's cheaper than Korean BBQ with Hot Pot because there's NO bbq here! The soup is what's good here. We got the combination or regular and spicy soup then chose the PREMIUM package to get more meat and seafood and ice cream for dessert! And you can get another serving of ice cream! There's also special drinks for PREMIUM packagWe were glad that we did although regular can get you to their good array of meats and vegetables. Loved that they have a good array of seafood on their regular package. They also have cotton candy for dessert on a weekday and some jelly desserts on the weekends. They have all the stuff to make a good sauce for your meats! You'd leave stuffed and happy!“

“Excellent Sichuan restaurant. Authentic Sichuan dishes and great service. Take out only, but you can take the food and dine in at Tabaq Restaurant (excellent restaurant also - authentic Pakistani food) next door. Tabaq owners own Dragon Palace (some type of ownership). I usually do take out from both Dragon Palace and from Tabaq. Dragon Palace now serves halal food only.“

“Chef Ge restaurant left a lasting impression with its authentic and boldly flavored dishes. The fried pork with pineapple was a delightful blend of natural sweetness, and the Master Ge Xiao Fry offered tender freshness with a balanced mouth-numbing sensation. The chicken with lotus roots & pepper was spicy, featuring tender, flavorful chicken and the added punch of pickled peppers—a must-try. While the Yummy braised pork belly lacked a distinct pork flavor, leaning more towards a deep-fried coating, it was still enjoyable. The restaurant's ambiance was flexible, in line with Chinese dining expectations. Overall, Chef Ge provided a satisfying culinary journey, showcasing a diverse menu with standout, memorable flavors.Parking: More parking space is at the right side of the building.“

“Very nice atmosphere, a bit fancier than many Chinese restaurants. Most dishes are quite spicy - some in my family love these. But there are also some choices for those of us who prefer less spicy. My Chinese relatives consider the quality to be very high - one of the best restaurants in Central New Jersey.“

“Really good food..good quality ingredients for the price point..food took a while and wasn’t told how long and ended up waiting in the restaurant for nearly 25 min. It was busy, so can’t blame them, but would have been nice to know it was going to be a wait. The inside is clean, but standard setup. Chicken Lo Mein was great! Kung Pao chicken seemed to have more vegetables than Chicken, but still tasted great!“

“So - I have a lot of allergies and eating issues- I was LATE to eat anything and late to pick up my order. They said it was ready - and let me tell you how much I appreciate these people. They served it when I walked in. My rice and beef with broccoli were hot. And stayed hot while I finished my errands. No MSG (I’m allergic and it hurts :/ ) and I still have more left over for today. It’s close to where I run my daily errands. They’re really great and patient!“

“I live in Pennsylvania, but my friends ordered from here and now I'll drive all the way back, 80+ miles one way just to get this food. I've had so many different kinds, but this is the best place I've ever had food from. Obviously, we didn't try everything, but they're so super nice and the dumplings with that sauce omgosh can I please buy that in a bottle?Never usually liked those sauces, but it's banging!!!! I'd put that up against any other sauce. Super sweet and the soup damn I'm so hungry. Overall everything we ordered was the best we've ever had. We're nj and ny born and raised, but this place is legit. You will thank everyone who mentioned it. Best place ever, thank you so much for giving us our new spot. Even though it's that far away. I love your food and how nice and sweet everyone is. More than 5 stars best food and service! Not sure about the atmosphere, but the food is so good it doesn't even matter to me tbh. “Nice little find in walking distance to Rutgers Campus. They have a variety of things to choose from-poke bowls, sushi, ramen, or rice & meat platters. The lunch special is a great deal & runs from 12-3 daily. I built my own poke bowl with spicy tuna & choose the mango fruit tea for $13.99. I added a side of pork/chicken gyoza which I really enjoyed. The portions are huge & the price is very inexpensive & reasonable especially compared to most places nowadays. Food was fresh & service was quick. What more could you ask for? Although parking was a bit of a struggle trying to try & find a spot.“

“Me and my son had a chinese craving so we ordered here. Never been before. We shared and it was actually enough for us. We got the chicken lo mein which was sooo good. Not too greasy either, like the right amount of flavor/sauce. Beef with broccoli was also very tasty. They gave a good amount of beef. The broccoli was not soggy at all. Still had great texture. The almond cookies were also tasty. I also felt the price was good since I ordered on Uber eats. Definitely going to order here again.“

“I ordered the spicy beef stew. I am amazed at the complexity of the spice where, yes, it's spicy but tantalizing where I want to keep coming back for more bites. This is my first time here, and all I can say is wow! They provided me with white rice, a hefty amount of scallions, pulled beef, broth, egg pieces, and various ingredients. There is also this solid cold food in a lil cup that tastes like kimchi and it was refreshing respite to the spice afterwards. Would recommend 10/10?“

“I find it hard to believe I have not argued this place, maybe they changed businesses or owners and my old review is there. Which I can totally own because when I originally started coming here it was just sultan wok and now it is sultan wok/ Asian Express. This is my top choice spot for Chinese takeout locally. To the point where when they are closed and I want Chinese takeout, I just wait until they're open and get something else. My go-to is the general tso is chicken, with which I like to treat myself for lunch when I am working from home. Is this the best Chinese food I've ever eaten, I don't know. Does it satisfy the craving when I have it, absolutely. I would say there are days when I think their food is particularly better than others, without rhyme or reason, but I do tend to find their food tends to be better more often than it's not. Not. I also like when general tso chicken has a nice crunch to it and they tend to have better chicken than other places. I don't think I've ever had it and it'd be soggy unless I'm reheating it which does not count. The woman there tends to be very friendly. Who takes the orders, they have to have a system that gives the name of the customer because she always knows my name and greets him with a hello Mike when she answers the phone. Now if I ordered more regularly I could totally see her knowing my name. However, I do not order frequently enough for her to know who I am, which makes me think they have to have some sort of system. Either way it's nice or is she just that good at her job. All in all, I don't think you can go wrong. Getting takeout from here. I've tried some other spots in town with high recommendations and have been sorely disappointed. I hate soggy chicken and I've never gotten soggy chicken from here.“

“Me and my boyfriend have been craving authentic Chinese bbq skewers for a while and stumbled upon this place online. The waitress was very nice, but spoke very little english - the Chinese menu translations were pretty rough so we weren't too sure exactly what we ordered, but just went with it and hoped for the best. We were not disappointed and will definitely be coming back again to try some other things on the menu! Lamb/beef skewers: 5/5These honestly hit the spot - were probably the most authentic skewers I've had in the states EVER. Each skewer had a generous amount of meat and was perfectly seasoned and grilled to perfection. We could not stop raving about these throughout the meal! Dongjia spicy hotpot: 5/5Although we were expecting a hot pot of soup, this dish more than made up for that. It is a dry hotpot dish with meat, veggies, etc. all piled into one pot. This dish was a little on the saltier side, but the mala flavor was prominent and was a good, flavorful follow up to the skewers from before. Tasty pork appetizer: 3/5This dish ended up being deep fried coated pork served with a side of dried spices to dip the pork into. We kind of ordered this on a whim without knowing what to expect and was the dish we probably would've swapped out for something else. The quality of the dish was not bad, just wasn't as good compared to the first two dishes. They do give a lot of pork for an appetizer dish, so we were able to take some home. We noticed halfway throughout the meal that every single table ordered this one dish and after looking up other reviews found out it was something called guobaorou - will add this to try next time we come back :)“

“I like the food here, but the prices keep going up and the portions going down. They never put napkins or forks or spoons or condiments in the bag so make sure you ask when you pick up or order food for delivery. I think they have the best general chicken in the area. So I’d recommend overall.“

“The food isn't the most authentic compared to what I had in Los Angeles, but it's nice to have the option. The servers are pleasant. However, I gave three stars for service because one lady kept insisting I didn't order enough, even though I ordered six different dishes for four people. We ended up with too many leftovers. Despite that, I recommend this place and would go again.“

“Came here for a weekday lunch. The place is long and narrow with a few seats. You order at the counter and they bring the food out to you when it's ready. Ordered the pork belly baos, pork soup dumplings and beef noodles. The pork belly in the baos was flavorful and tender. The boas themselves were pillowy soft and it came with crushed peanuts. It was a good bao except I felt like it could use some sort of pickled vegetable to cut the richness. The pork soup dumplings were steamy and filled with a good amount of soup. I wish the soup was a little more flavorful but the meat itself was tasty and the skin was nice and thin. The beef noodles were full of flavor and came with tender beef and fresh noodles and veggies. Overall this is a solid option for Shanghainese food. The prices aren't bad and everything tasted pretty authentic and like it was made fresh.“

It was delicious! I'm so happy to have found a Chinese restaurant that we enjoy!“
“Ordered online for pick up. It said ready in 10 min which was not the case. No big deal as they were busy. The lady behind the window when we went to pickup was pleasant. The food was really good. “I cannot say enough good things about this place. The service, food and pricing are all exceptional! I actually found out this place from a coworker of mine and figured I would give it a go because I was in search of a different Chinese food restaurant to start ordering from. I won't name places, but when I first moved to the area in 2010 I went to a different place for a few years but their food quality went WAY down (and way before Covid so that can't even be the excuse). Then I found another place who's food I liked but after Covid their prices skyrocketed. So I gave this place a chance and so glad I did. The pricing is beyond reasonable, the food is always delicious and the service is always fantastic. The lady that takes the orders and takes care of the customers is SO friendly and appreciative. The only downfall is they do not deliver and I don't believe they have anything set up with GrubHub etc. So if you're not close to them, then it could be a hike to go pick up the food. But if you do, it'll be worth it ;)HIGHLY recommend!“

“i feel bad to leave a 1 star review but this was the worst restaurant experience i have ever had & i eat out often. i get that they just opened up but they seemed like they should’ve stayed closed to train the servers and cooks more. walking in, my boy friend & i loved the aesthetic & the whole set up inside. the food kind of took forever which… idk why because it was very tasteless. we ordered soup dumpling that had NO SOUP IN THEM! i was so disappointed. we also ordered the sesame noodles that tasted like nothing & the fried pork rice which the pork was so small it came with 4 pieces & the rice had no flavor. we will come back a few months later & hopefully the restaurant is way better … best of luck to this business & hopefully they change the food & train the workers better.EDIT:i came back as i said i would & the place and food overall was a 10/10!!! great job for the turn around! service was amazing & the atmosphere of the place was great! definitely will be another go to spot with friends and loved ones“

“This place is delicious. For people who look at the building and think it’s a hole in the wall-you are right! That is all this man needs because you should beware of flashy places that don’t put the money into their ingredients and obviously spend their money on decor. This place focuses all attention on the food! The meat is actually meat and not bits of sketchy meat mashed together and breaded to death then sauced up-it is flavorful and you can see and taste the chicken and meat. The vegetables are plentiful and crunchy. Rice bowl does a great job with all of their dishes-the soups and lo mein are okay- I like a lot of spices and these two areas are lacking for me. Overall, I have a few favorite dishes and this place gets it right!“
