“I’ve been dropping off my laundry next door for a couple of years, but had never tried this restaurant right next door. Well one day myself and my son decided to try it. First I’ll say the young lady that hosted and waited on us was very sweet, and helpful. The food was incredible. The tortillas are made in house so that’s a huge part of what made it so good. I had the fajita platter it was huge. Enough to eat from twice so worth the value, and it was delicious. My son had tacos and he loved them. The food was great and service was excellent. Definitely recommend“

“Chorizo Pollo (grilled chicken,chorizo,onions, pineapple) was flavorful and portions generous. Chicken nachos were fresh and a good sized portion. Service (Jordan) was prompt and attentive without hovering. Had to park in the parking garage as this is located in a college town and streetparking is limited, but it's worth it. We'll be back.“

“This is one of those rare places that got everything right. The service was amazing, and the food was delicious. We started with guac and chips. We got 2 sauces that came with the complementary chips. One was green, and one was a cream based sauce. Both were really good and spicy. Guacamole was great with fresh chilies on top. Chips were fresh. For the main entree, I ordered vegetable fajitas, which came steaming hot to the table and was mouthwatering. My sister got vegetable enchiladas with Verde sauce. She said it was great with a kick to it. Both of the orders came with a side of rice and beans. Vegetable fajitas also came with a choice of soup or salad. I got the tortilla soup. We both ordered horchatas. They were cold and sweet with a hint of cinnamon. Delicious. The portions were a good size. If you are in the area or even if you aren't, def check this place out. 10/10.“

“My wife and I tried this place for the first time on 02/09. They actually had live entertainment! A guy singing his heart out in Spanish. It really added to the atmosphere. The food is phenomenal! Very authentic. The portions are huge, and the prices are reasonable. We will definitely be back.“

“LaNova was a surprise for our party of three. We were expecting a larger place but don't let the fact that it is a "hole-in-the-wall strip shopping center kinda restaurant. The minute you enter you are draped in the wonderful aromas of true Mexican food. I just knew we would love whatever we ordered! There was non-stop take-out & deliveries. I pretty much closed my eyes & pointed to something. I could have been happy with a number of items but I was delighted with my. Beef & chorizo tacos. My husband & son were also pleased with what they ordered. I can't remember the names but they both had chicken cassadias which had a white sauce. If you are in bc the neighborhood give it a try...we did & so happy we did!“

I ordered a cemita de milanesa de res and it was delicious ???? just as I remembered them on my visits to Puebla, the portion is huge ?, It only takes 2 servings, also pot coffee, that one lacked flavor. The place was clean, and the service was excellent from the young man who served us, very attentive, polite and helpful, I will definitely go again.“

“First time at Canela today and they did not disappoint at all! Ordered to go two sets of street tacos (Al pastor, birria, and steak) with flour tortillas and corn tortillas, a steak burrito, and churros. Everything was fresh and delicious! The burrito came with fries and the tacos came with fresh limes and cucumbers. They included napkins, cutlery, extra sauces, and complimentary chips and salsa at no extra charge. This will be my new regular spot for tacos and more! I can't wait to try more items on the menu.“

“I would like to share my recent experience.First and foremost, I have been a patron of La Esperanza for over a decade and I have never had a bad experience. The staff is friendly, caring, and attentive. Especially Oscar. He is such a hard worker and doesn’t sweat, not even under pressure of being the best bartender. I arrived at 6pm. The busiest time at the restaurant and waited patiently for my food, like a good patron would. The food came out hot and delicious and the drinks were phenomenal. 1000/1000 recommend! Service was a little slow with drinks and I expected more toppings and guac ? or sour cream with the fajitas but maybe that's an American thing ??‍♀️ the owner stopped by our table and took time to talk to us and tell us how he started his business.. “When visiting family in NJ, we tried Vicki’s on a quick date night. We arrived around 8 & had a great experience. As we ordered, we asked several questions about the different food items & the server (who we found out was Vicki’s mom) answered all of our questions. Given that we have different spice levels (I have a very low pin tolerance for spicy but love the flavors!), she even suggested items we might enjoy.We ordered a chicken burrito, a chicken quesadilla, chicken enchiladas, & a side of guacamole & chips. We also tried several desserts: flan, rice pudding, & tres leches cake. Our food was delivered in a reasonable time & everything was delicious!The atmosphere was cozy & clean too. My only constructive feedback for the future: perhaps some pictures with the menu (everything was typed on paper) because we didn’t have much context of what we were getting. They pay attention to nice little details, like pureed refried beans on the tortilla chips and cinnamon atop the horchata. The service is friendly and attentive. Just a really pleasant dinner. It was as far a drive for us, from the western PA suburbs, as going in to Center City, but just as good -- and a little more relaxed. Definitely worth it.“
