“Looks like a family own restaurant , the food was good and our server was super friendly. There were some kids in the restaurant late night, which is why I say looked like family owned. They were well behaved, but when there's kids around, one had to be on their best behavior IN A BAR! Other than that it's cozy and will visit again.“

“Great Christmas decorations. Attentive service, generous portions, and great food. For lunch we ordered Shrimp tacos (4) and beef burrito which came with a side out rice and beans. All arrived hot and had a delicious Verde sauce. Only thing is change is have a bar with margaritas!!!“

“I’m passing by this place for almost a year but never entered. I did enter 3 times in the past week and I’m delighted. They have fresh made marquesote and pan de banano. Not only the cakes were delicious but they keep their prices affordable. The ladies working there were very friendly. Will definitely try their other options for lunch and dinner.“

“wanted to check out a speakeasy while in town and came across the newsroom on tiktok, due to their “stuff your own empanada experience”. nestled in a quiet area of queens, with easy access.lovely speakeasy ambiance with an aerialist performer & live vocal performances. the music they play is all jazzy covers of hit songs, so it fits the vibe so well.the empanadas and the filet mignon taquitos, were so tasteful and delicious.they give you a very decent amount of time to be there, in order to make room for more people. our server Alberto couldn’t have been kinder and more accommodating to our preferences & needs while there.would recommend this to anyone looking for a laid back speakeasy outside of the hustle and bustle of the major city or times square.“

“Nothing like a warm salteña. I just came back from picking up my 107th salteña and soup combo. I’m such a regular and the staff knows me so well that they hand me my pick-up immediately, even if there’s a long time. Love the staff there! I also get the quinoa salad with chicken and avocado. Matcha drink is a must! Yum! I’m blessed this place is so close to me. It’s delicious and well portioned. Thanks!“

“This was an amazing dinner. Our server was engaging, offered winning suggestions and consistently checked up on us to make sure we were happy and well-fed. The food was well prepared and presentation was great. The wait time was pretty short, but we were early and it wasn't packed. By 7pm the music was turned up to be a bit loud for my taste so I gave the "atmosphere" rating a 4 instead of 5. This was one of the few times I wish I'd have taken pictures of the food. It is our 3rd time visiting this restaurant and we will be back again for sure.When the check came there were no surcharges for using a card, and they didn't help themselves to a gratuity, which was both appreciated and rewarded by us. “chicken empanadas to start were out of this world! lobster soup and steak were so tasty steak cooked to perfection! staff amazing, so friendly and welcoming especially when they found out we are from Scotland! chatted with lady behind bar, sorry cant remember your name who has visited Scotland many times! fab!“
