“So we had made a reservation to a restaurant across the street of Li Beirut for my brother's birthday but after waiting for almost an hour past our reservation, I decided to call Li Beirut, skeptical that they could accommodate us - a party of 6. The lady on the phone told me to give her five minutes and she called me back and told us to come on over. As soon as we walked in, they welcomed us like we were guests of honor and treated us like family. After sharing it was my brother's birthday, they brought us a bottle of wine and served it to us. Being a Friday night, they offered us the tasting menu for $55/person and let me tell you, it is more than worth it! First, you get an array of salads and dips with pita bread portions to eat. By the way, you will never lack the bread or water - somehow they always know that you need a refill before you get a chance to realize you need a refill. After this, they brought us the Batata Harra and the Soujouk, which are the most perfectly baked/fried potatoes and a portion of meat for each of us. Then come the main entree - the specialty. Let me tell you... some of us had the shish kebab fillet (that was my specialty), other had the mixed grill and the lamb chops.... each of our specialties was absolutely delicious! Once the food is done, they brought us dessert and coffee, and this was the cherry on the top. All six of us - six grown men - left Li Beirut fully satisfied, beyond satisfied! We were also amazed and surprised at how well we were treated; like no place we have ever eaten at before. Finally, the ambiance was cozy and welcoming and you can immediately tell that the owner - who welcomed us and brought us the bottle of wine - takes much pride in his restaurant. He directs the dining room masterfully and enthusiastically. If you are in the area, you MUST try Li Beirut! Whether you come with a group or with your significant other for a date, you will leave satisfied and happy at the whole experience - from the moment you walk in, the service, and the food!“

“It's been a long time since I've been to Sapori and definitely regretting not coming back sooner. The food was outstanding, from the bread and olive oil, to the fresh calamari, main, and dessert. Everything was great in terms of service and the waiter was attentive and charismatic. Heated patio was excellent and everything was reasonably priced. Will definitely be back soon.“

We had appetizers then the platter for 2 that fed the 3 of use easily! ALL delish! Brought home deserts that were as enjoyable as our meal. We also learned about Ramiz's history and how it's a chain. This location is the first one established in the US. We received complimentary mix appetizer plate of dips and tea! Karişik Soğuk Meze / Mix Appetizer Plate- Hummus, baba ghanoush, labneh, and spicy vegetable dip THE SPICY VEGETABLE DIP IS INCREDIBLE! MUST TRY! Turkish meatballs - insanely moist and delicious! Would highly recommend! Chicken Adana wrap - could have used more meat in it and the fries were lacking salt but that's easily fixable! Sütlaç -the oven baked pudding was good The table cloth on the tables kept moving which was a bit frustrating, not sure what other restaurants do to hold it down. Menu has so many options, something for everyone. Bringing your family or a big friend group is a good idea!“

Because we were a party of 2 and ordered many courses , the server staggered our food so we could enjoy every morsel We started with soup. I had the lentil my husband had Moroccan Bean. Both were so wonderful we we started sharing. I was looking forward to the taramasalata all day. When it came to the table along with warmed pita bread it did not disappoint. On to the falafel: which were some of the best we ever sampled. Not finished yet, next we had lamb kafta. Which were succulent and prepared to perfection. Our final course was the superb moussaka. The eggplant melted in our mouth with each bite and the ground beef and béchamel enhanced the flavor to a higher level Our only disappoint was we didn't have room left for dessert. “It's inside the Reading Terminal Market. Eat in or take away. There were several stools when I chose them for lunch, from all the options there. They have chicken, and lamb/beef combo roasting in front of you, they cut your sandwich from. Fresh tomato and onion bits inside a Pita. There is a white sauce, which I didn't have. Sandwich can come with fries and coke for under $15. I got a smaller portion of fries. All fresh and tasty. service was attentive and speedy. Very pleased with my visit.“

My waitress was a young man name “Kalid” (i sincerely apologize If I spelled it wrong). I stated to him this was my first time there & he gave me suggestions, helped me pick out my appetizer and entree. For my appetizer, I ordered the ground beef flatbread, very good. For my entree I ordered the lamb kebab and the side of mash potatoes. The presentation of the meal was beautiful! Very colorful & the lamb chops were tender. Unfortunately, there was a string of hair in my mash potatoes. I kindly pulled one of the waitress to the side & requested to just pay for my flatbread & drink. They did offer to make me a new meal but I kindly declined. The young man Kalid & was very apologetic & kind! He offered me a new meal, desert, and was trying to do everything he could to make my experience better for me *being this was my first time*. Off his sympathy alone & the atmosphere of the place, I will come back. I do believe things happen & that’s ok. What a great experience.We did bar service, which in our case just meant being right up in the staff's faces while they cooked, but we love that vibe: ask about how your food is prepared, or why the recipe exists, or if they're playing around with an idea, and the folks at Irwin's (including the founder, Michael) will stop by and tell you all about their dinnerware, or why they do their caponata the way they do, or the relationship between Middle Eastern and Sicilian desserts. The drinks were amazing and the somm was super easy to talk to about the drink list. The mains were all very shareable - everyone wanted extra bites of everybody else's. And they're super generous. My dad had not had caponata and doubted he'd like it - caponata was my entry to eggplant done well so I disagreed. He won the argument, but Michael still sent over a sample. Plus the ambiance and decor are exactly what the BOK calls for and the views out the window are unspeakably cool. What a place.“
