“It's great-tasting, well-made Chinese food. By well-made I mean you're NOT going to receive food that's drowned in grease, or all mushy like it's been sitting in a steam table for hours.They have a great selection of different styles. All the standard stuff, plus Szechuan and Cantonese specialties. The prices are reasonable. Staff is very nice. I love that when I order delivery, the driver is from the restaurant, not some internet service.I used to think I'd never find good Chinese food in this area, until I tried Hop Hing. Now I wouldn't go anywhere else.“

“Our lunch specials were very tasty. I had shrimp w/mixed Chinese vegetables in a brown sauce over white rice, and hot & sour soup. 5 shrimp were a very nice size. My husband enjoyed his meal as well, which was pork w/mixed Chinese vegetables in a garlic sauce over fried rice and an egg roll. Not many tables - maybe 4, but it was just lunch, so we sat & ate in. Will definitely go back.“

“Oh YUM! Take-out only? East Wok is NOT designed for your "dining in" experience. Their dumplings are home made and delicious! I detect a touch of star anise in many of their dishes. I don't know if you can ask for them to leave out the five spice powder if you don't want the anise flavor.. Christmas Eve I had a spontaneous situation that canceled my cooking plans and needed to have food on my table in a hurry. I was driving and didn't have a menu on hand but I pulled over, called in and described what I wanted. I was so pleasantly surprised! Everything I ordered was fresh and ready quickly for pickup. Easily accessible to GSP if you're on your way somewhere and don't want to show up hungry and empty-handed. ! Easy parking also, there is a free lot across the street on the corner. (East Wok is not in my neighborhood so I don't visit often but it has been consistently top-notch.)Vegetarian options: I ordered something called Green Jade Vegetables? It was GREAT!“

“Just call me crazy but this is hands-down the most traditional, flavorful, East-Asian food that I have ever had.After an easy-going tennis practice at NSRC, and about to get ready for my USTA Tournament nearby, I got great service in blazing speeds. After going to dozens of these Fusion restaurants, I have never been amazed, really, by any of the aspects. But at Avenue East, I have finally found my designated place for Asian Fusion.Let’s start off with the quality of the food. After my meal, I wasn’t able to speak, marveled by how amazing the meal I had was. The boiled dumplings were the perfect combination of healthy but delicious food. Paired with the shrimp tempura, I was astounded how perfect this restaurant was. Now, onto my entrée. I received chicken and broccoli from this unique restaurant. I cannot fathom or put into words how delicious it was. I think I stumbled into flavor-land. Every single other restaurant that has this entrée cannot even touch this level of awesomeness?.
