“I travel a lot for sales. I love a hole in the wall Chinese food place. I thought that’s what this was gonna be. It’s not.Parking lot is crowded due to the nature of the strip mall. Laundry mat, some small stores, and really just decent foot traffic. Off the main road though so getting in and out is a breeze.Place was empty, must have just opened for the day. Atmosphere was nice. Had the typical Asian food spot vibe, but this place was very clean. It is easy to see how clean it is when no one is eating in there. I mean even the bathrooms were well taken care of. Only downside, no AC and today was hot, and I’m eating hot food. I don’t know their situation so a minor complaint because…The food was rocking. I mean it kicked butt. The food was fresh because it was scorching hot as it came out. Had to wait for it to cool off. Egg roll crunched hard as you bit into it. Soup had plenty of good flavor and was balanced with the spicy.You can see they are generous with the meat. It was so much I couldn’t finish. Felt bad throwing it away but it really was a large size.Service was excellent. Last who greeted me was very attentive and didn’t feel overbearing as I was the only customer in the store.Would definitely recommend to a friend.“

“I recently ate here on Saturday. This restaurant was my second option because I was running too late to my first. When I tell yall I'm so happy it turned out this way!! I took my nephew who loves ramen.Food: I eat at a lot of asian restaurants (Japanese, Chinese, Korean). THIS EASILY IS ONE OF THE BEST RESTAURANTS IN THE CITY. Asian food or not. Very fresh, very clean. And surprisingly extremely affordable. We ordered 1 hibachi meal, 2 ramen (one with (2) extra toppings), 6 soft drinks, 3 appetizers PLUS 20% tip all came to $100!!! My nephew completely ate every bite of his ramen plus broth, which was why we came to this restaurant. There were NO leftovers as it was absolutely delicious and I WILL return.Service: Only one woman who I didnt catch name but the receipt said "BOSS" and even though I was skeptical at first she is very prompt and was pleasant to be around. I was very happy to leave a large tip and I highly encourage it for others to do so as well. She is obviously very hard-working.Atmosphere: Its small but you can tell a lot of the decorations were made by (i believe) the daughters of the owners. It was very homely, cozy, and very cute decorations.Overall 5/5 I highly recommend every single thing.“

“It was my birthday and I was craving sushi. I looked around at a few places and I decided to try this place. I looked at the menu before going and they had a lot of great choices. The staff was amazing. They were very nice and helpful. We had no wait for a table either. The food was very delicious, definitely worth coming here to try. I was very amazed that it came out on a boat like that too. I loved it. These were the rolls we ordered. Eagle Roll, Lobster Roll, Tiger Roll, Dancing Shrimp Roll, and King Dragon Roll.“

(But I will say that the gyoza is the best I've ever had). The atmosphere in the restaurant is awesome. If you get the chance, try out one of their rooms for dining - it's a really fun experience. “A great local sushi restaurant for all sushi lovers. I recommend ordering takeout because there is not that much seating inside. Asuka has plenty of different options to choose from lunch specials, classic rolls, special rolls, sashimi, naruto, and different entries. I recommend their Trio Sashimi. The fish was fresh and delicious. My favorite was their yellowtail. So flavorable and it melts in your mouth. I also recommend their spicy scallop and spicy yellowtail roll. They both were not too spicy but they had a little kick to them. Each roll was flavorable and the fish was fresh. If you have a gluten allergy, Asuka is very accommodating and has many different options to choose from. Sometimes it can be hard to find a great sushi restaurant that offers different options and serves fresh quality food. Asuka offers so many different options and their quality is there. All the food was good, but some were better than others (the spicy miso ramen stood out as great, while I wasn't as big of a fan of the seafood ramen, but the others in my group enjoyed it so maybe I'm an outlier). “I have never been here in person, but I order takeout frequently and the food is always very fresh and delicious.I love their spicy salmon roll, and their spicy crab and spicy tuna are also yummy. The veggie roll is also a favorite of mine. The sashimi is very good and fresh. I prefer salmon because it is healthy. I like to get salmon sashimi, cooked tofu sashimi, and eat it with the lettuce and carrot it's bedded on for flavor and texture. The edamame is so good and fresh.“

“I went here with a crew of 6 to celebrate a special day, and it was a really good experience! By no means am I a sushi expert, but I am not a newcomer either and to me it was pretty great experience, especially the tempura shrimp on the mango shrimp roll.. We ordered the Party Platter D which came with 64 pieces total comprised of Alaska roll, tuna avocado roll, california roll, spicy tuna roll, sweet potato roll, tiger roll, mango shrimp roll, and creamy crab roll. The mango in the mango shrimp roll was also a welcomed change of flavors. Lots of options. We ended up getting one of the family meals that really satisfied our group's stomachs and wallets. Generally it is a little expensive, but it's a local establishment that also doesn't have a liquor license to bring in easy revenue. On that note, this is a BYOB restaurant, which is pretty neat, allowing you to save even more on your overall price if you plan on drinking. I wonder if they would be willing to warm your sake for you? My only food recommendation (which I communicated to the open and friendly guy at the counter, is that the spicy tuna wasn't very spicy. Maybe now it will be spicier if they've had similar complaints since the time I went--probably 5 months ago at this point. Otherwise, my only other complaint is just that it's a small place--about 8 spots at the stylish wood sushi bar, and two picnic style tables that can seat 5 if you pull up a chair, so it might be a little tough to find a spot if you're going out with a crew.“

“Went here last night for dinner with my wife. I don’t remember what my wife got besides the rock shrimp appetizer but I did help her finish her food and all of it was delicious, including the rock shrimp. I am a big eel fan so I got the unagi don as well as the dancing dragon. They were both a big serving, which was excellent. As for service, they were very nice and refills came quickly. I also got a lemon sorbet dessert, I forgot the name of it but it was delicious. If you are looking for a quiet eating location with great sushi this is the place to go. They also have hibachi“

“Very nice place with good service. It has become our favorite. There are always free seats, the halls are large. The rolls are absolutely delicious! Huge selection for every taste and budget. The pieces of fish are large and the rice is small - an ideal ratio. Pour delicious green tea, top up as needed. The waiters are helpful and well-trained - 5th arrival. It’s clean, the tables are clean, overall cleanliness and order - I really appreciate this, a rarity in our region. Prices for a set of rolls start from $5 - and this is a large number of types like Philadelphia, etc. I definitely recommend it.“

“You would think Shumai Wok is actually a dine in restaurant from its name. But it is actually a takeout and delivery restaurant. With that being said, don't expect off-the-chart service and food lol. Everything is pretty fast-paced in here. Don't worry about parking, since SW sits in a little center. I've only gotten sushi from Shumai Wok, so far so good. My favorite is the Philly Roll. It has the smoked salmon, cream cheese, and avocado(I have ask to sub the cucumbers with avocado). Boston Roll and Crispy Kani Roll is also very tasty. Will update once I try other rolls in the future.P.S. Shumai Wok accept credit cards. The owner brought us to a quiet section and was very quick with grabbing us some waters to start off with. The server came over with some hot tea and asked us if we had any questions about the menu. The seats were comfortable and the restaurant was clean and comfortable. You can tell that the owner enjoys seeing the community in his restaurant as he made his rounds around the place. We did put a order in for steam dumplings and pleasantly surprised by not only the price but the taste of them. We also ordered the fried wings and they were hot and perfectly seasoned for dinner. We ordered the triple combination that came with fried rice and it was a perfect size to split between two adults, featured a beef shrimp and a chicken dish. We both enjoyed the beef and shrimp but the chicken with peas wasn't our favorite. The chicken surprisingly didn't have as much flavor as the rest of them.“

Upon arrival, you'll be a seated rather quickly, however, if you're expecting a bubbly waiter to greet you, that won't happen. Not that it's a bad thing, but expect the server to be very efficient and talk very little. Food comes out quickly which is nice and if you order apps, they time out the dishes accordingly so you're not sitting at the table full of plates. One thing to ask for early on would be extra napkins and it was sometimes hard to flag the server down for refills of water. Other than that, it's a great place for quality sushi and other dishes.“
