“WOW!!!! Some of the best queso birria tacos I’ve ever had!!! The order comes with 4 and they’re small but packed with flavor!!! The beef is perfectly seasoned and cooked. Perfect amount of cheese and the tortilla has the right amount of crunch from being grilled. The consommé is so flavorful that I drank the rest once I finished the tacos.10/10 highly recommend! Every meal is prepared with care and precision, every server I've had (no two the same) have been efficient, courteous and professional. The drinks are great as well. Selection is quite varied. “We were here briefly while we waited to be seated at Shaw-nae's House next door. The bartender was very personable. They were already used here to getting overflow from next door. The drinks here are so well crafted. I thoroughly enjoyed my mezcal cocktail, others had the French 75 which was equally. I really wanted to get another drink or 3rd but alas time was an issue. This place made such a good impression. I left wishing this bar was my local cheers.“

This place is an old school style restaurant and I heard good things about it, so at 59 years old I visited there on September 16, 2023 with my wife and another couple for the first time. We all loved the food. The menu is so big it reminds me of a diner menu but classier and we all loved our entrees and appetizers. The young waitress we had was adorable, efficient, professional and attentive. In short, we will definitely be going back to Canlons and highly recommend it to our friends and family.“

“We had a great meal at LaColina Mexican Cantina. We got seated pretty quick but we did get there by 6… got a little more crowded at 7 on a Saturday night. Food options were great as well as the drinks. Atmosphere was great also and there was a good amount of people there on a Saturday night. Just one down side… I don’t like that they automatically add on 20% tip on the bill. Tip should be based on great service and at the customers discretion.“

I ordered a dirty martini which was great as well. For dinner we both had the steak frites, which was cooked exactly how we ordered it, and I am in love with the brandy peppercorn cream sauce. Dessert was the perfect ending. I enjoyed the vibe and music. We ordered a pizza to go for my child and it did not disappoint. Finally a great restaurant away from all the downtown traffic and lack of parking. We will definitely return to try more food!“

We were greeted with champagne, and there was a live band. We were served by Arise, and she was great. We had an array of different foods, which I enjoyed the deviled egg the most. I also really enjoyed the old fashioned. My time was so great!“

Only negative, food took to long to come out, 30 minutes between appetizers and entree. Recieved appetizers before drinks. The wedge salad had thick dressing just dumped on top like an afterthought, and you had to cut your own salad. The French onion soup was a small beef broth with a side of a grilled cheese & onion sandwich. I thought both of these “deconstructed” appetizers missed the mark. The Essex roll was great, as was the burger. Crudo was fresh and delicious. The hanger steak was good, and avocado lox toast was okay. Kids items arrived quickly and were generously portioned. Our server was nice, but seemed new. Served the yogurt parfait without a spoon. Shortly after, the soup arrived, again without a spoon. Didn't think the kitchen could make an omelet instead of scrambled eggs (as part of the eggs and toast). Got one of the items wrong, but didn't offer to remove it until we asked. I had different expectations for service, but it didn't ruin our time. Overall, I'd return. Next time, I'd come for the drinks and sushi.“

“Great Detroit pizza and wonderful cocktails. I had a sidecar and a sazerac, and multiple pieces of pizza(s) . All pizzas were great, there is no wrong pizza to order.The coca cola chicken wings you will love, or not. Still, order them, because the cook on the wings is perfect and someone in your group will be ecstatic.“
