“we have been coming to this location for years now and it just keeps on getting better! i make a visit here everytime im back in NJ, and i noticed they have really upgraded their sides and sauces. there is a number of choices to choose from, but our classic go to will always be thinly sliced brisket and pork belly. my favorite side is the spicy rice cakes. the newly added chimichurri sauce is great too! the service is amazing. super quick and attentive. i highly recommending coming here whether if you are a newbie or a veteran at KBBQ“

The place is spacious, with many tables inside and outside.We were served by Alejandra, a very sweet and friendly waitress. I ordered smashed Avocado Benedict, and my friend had Steak and Eggs. My dish was very good. I was not fond of the bread. The avocado was ok but less creamy. It might not have been Hass avocado, but I wasn’t sure. The potato was quite good. My friend said her steak and eggs were excellent. Next time I’ll try that. Great coffee!We had the pleasure of meeting the owner of the establishment, Jonathan. I think his father was there, too. “One of the few AYCE KBBQ spots in the area. Even on a Friday afternoon, this place gets really busy to the point where you have to wait for a table. The price per person is relatively fair compared to other places but I feel like you get fewer options for the Lunch menu. Normally, I would prefer more options but this time I liked having fewer options since I ordered more of the same meats. Rice, side dishes, dipping sauces, and fresh lettuce are all included in the AYCE. Drinks are not.“

The store staff will help you grill it.- Grilled cheese corn: looks good but surprisingly delicious and not too greasy-Korean fried chicken bucket: The clerk said it was the new menu of the day. Personally, I think it’s okay not to order it. It’s just plain fried chicken without the sauce. And there are so many fried chickens to choose from in New York.-Soy Beef Kimchi Pot: There are onions, zucchini, and enoki mushrooms. The beef cubes are very chewy, but the soup is salty and tastes more like spicy miso.-Salad: Personally, I don’t think you need to order it. It’s the kind with a lot of salad dressing. It doesn’t go well with crab sticks. It’s not suitable to relieve fatigue. Just eat it with the included lettuce.“

“Food is good but they raised their prices and it's only worthwhile if you can get them to actually bring the dishes you order. Sometimes we have difficulty getting orders in even when they're not that busy. Still, very solid place.“

I went in the cold. Had a nice chat with a Michelin star sommelier who was there after work and loves this place. We ate lamb, chicken skin, mushrooms... chatted... went our separate ways. “We enjoyed this restaurant. Would really give this a 4.5. We came here at about 1:05 pm on a Saturday for a 1:30 pm reservation. We were about to get seated a 5 min or so after arriving which was nice. It was surprising to see how busy it was for lunch. Due to their business, it took us several minutes to get our menus and such. We decided quickly what to eat and were able to put our order in quickly. We had the dandan noodles, soup dumplings, soup wontons, ginger spinach and rice. Everything was really tasty. We were seated in the larger, back area of the restaurant and it was a bit loud but what counted was how good the food was. Would highly recommend. I spent a lot of time in China and this food tasted like I was right back there.“

“Slightly hard to write this review as I arrived a bit late to the meal. I went here months upon months ago. Not knowing that this was part of Dun Huang, I thought I went to the wrong restaurant but it turned out it was one and the same which was surprising. I was here with a group of nine others. As I arrived a bit late, the soup dumplings had already been there a while but they were still of very good quality. My favorite of the night was the Salted Egg Yolk & Shrimp Stir-Fried Rice Cakes. The texture of the rice cakes were perfect and the egg yolk complimented it well. I also liked the Dry Fried Shredded Eel & Chives. I also would have preferred them less shredded as I couldn't taste much of the eel texture but the sauce was nice and the blend with the chives added some good depth. The Fried Dough Twist Spicy Chicken or Laziji with Mahua was also surprisingly spicy for a restaurant which is primarily Shanghainese now so I guess they still have some influence from the old Dun Huang. I've had it before with these dough twists from the excellent Peppercorn Station and these rivaled that place even though the chicken there was a bit pricier but then again there was larger pieces of chicken in the latter. The Fish Fillets in Sour Cabbage Soup was also pretty solid as well as the Grilled Lamb Kebabs. You can essentially see Andie's review for the rest of my thoughts as they essentially reiterate hers. Yes it was too hot inside and as I was rushing to get there, I got warmer than most but oh well. Would go back but maybe go during the fall or winter if the AC isn't fixed yet. Mid 4“

“Pig Beach is a massive BBQ place in Astoria. It may be the biggest BBQ spot in all of NYC. Not only is the indoor dining area huge, but there is a large outdoor dining area with a projection TV screen too. This is the perfect place to take a large group on a warm day. And the food is decent too. The best deal here is the sampler platter, which can feed three people. For $40, you will get your choice of a large side, ribs, pork shoulder, turkey and beef brisket. The brisket was the best and juiciest meat in my opinion. They also have an amazing happy hour special. If you come Wednesday to Friday from 3pm to 6pm, you can get $1 wings and $5 beers. While I have had even better quality BBQ elsewhere, the food here was flavorful and good quality. This is a good and laid back place overall.“
