“I’m a little annoyed that it took me a while to find this place on google to review it. This is because I know this place as Dumpling House not Green Leaf. Not sure if Dumpling House is the ghost kitchen or if Green Leaf is the ghost kitchen.We ordered roast pork lo mein, beef dumplings, scallion pancake, vegetable dumplings, and soup dumplings. The food was pretty good but I have a problem with their soup dumplings. The chefs at Dumplings House aka Green Leaf need to look up what soup dumplings are on Wikipedia. Instead of two orders of soup dumplings that we ordered, they gave us two quarts of wonton soup broth that had pork dumplings in them. Just because there was soup doesn’t make them soup dumplings. Not even the same flavor profile!! But they were still delicious to eat but we would if preferred what we ordered: soup dumplings.The chef specialities they offer include Buffalo wings, chicken wings, and French fries. I think one of the chefs at this restaurant used to work at Buffalo Wild Wings. Which would make sense why it would be their specialty!I“
“This is a pretty good fried chicken spot. I've ordered from here several times and the food has been consistently delicious. I would say this chicken is comparable, if not better, than Popeyes! The prices are reasonable and the sides are ok. My new favorite spot!!!“

“We went here for our team dinner and had a pretty large group. They had a large table ready for us with custom printed menus and a very dedicated wait staff. From the minute we entered to the point we left, they made each of us feel so warm and welcome, catered to every varying need and dietary restriction, and did so with huge smiles. The food was absolutely spectacular. We had 15 different dishes (and a few custom dishes for those with restrictions) and every single dish was made with finesse and care, bursting with flavor and with fresh ingredients that worked in perfect harmony together. The chef had clearly put a lot of thought into their menu and I appreciated that. The three most outstanding dishes of the night for me were: 1. The bucatini with green peppers and razor clams. This was one of the nicest pastas I've had in a very long time. Very unique and different from what you'd usually get, and everything just worked flawlessly. I could easily go back just to devour a huge bowl of this. 2. The crispy lamb with whole wheat flatbread and green harissa looked unassuming, but it was an absolute flavor bomb. Highly recommend. 3. The chocolate choux craquelin. Everything about this was perfection. It was rich and decadent yet light and refreshing, and was just the perfect end to an outstanding meal. I'd very highly recommend PDF for a romantic dinner with a loved one, as well as with larger groups like ours. Worth going to Brooklyn for this.“

“We came with a friend and got to try most of the items. For three people, we shared some appetizers —— the seeded bread (7/10), scallops 7.5/10, duck bun (6/10), bucatini (7.5/10).The entrees were much better than the appetizers. Got the halibut, bbq pork, and duck breast. All were delicious, but the duck was definitely the best. Would come back for the main courses. “Too bad there aren’t more stars to click on. As a Sicilian/Italian every time I go to an Italian restaurant I have to always settle for the close enough. Not this time at Piccola Cucina Estiatorio, 71 Thompson Street NYC. After seeing their extremely authentic Sicilian menu online I knew that it had to be the real thing. After easily reserving a table online we showed up with yes our hopes being very high. For the first time the food was everything I had hoped for. 1. Arancini: nicely crunchy and flavored. Not oily or old at all. 2. Grilled veggies: although simply presented they were really tasty and fresh. 3. Involtini: out of this world. Exactly made like in my town in Sicily. A Moist, tender, flavored with some really tasty mozzarella cheese, served on a nice bed of caponata. 4. Maccheroni alla Norma: finally my very favorite dish. I almost cried. Besides a fantastic pasta, rigorously cooked al dente, there was a more than generous amount of diced eggplant, obviously, with basil leaves, olive oil and everything the Mediterranean has so generously given to Sicily for thousands of years. It’s worth mentioning the more than welcome grated “ricotta salata” as a testimony to the high attention to detail of Chef Gioele. That was a dinner I will not easily forget. The last thing I want to say is that, according to the highly professional and attentive staff, almost every single ingredient in this restaurant is flown directly from Sicily including the very tasty cannoli filled with ricotta cheese. (The cheese flies frozen during shipping). Sorry for the long review. I only wanted to show my super happiness with this restaurant. ANGELO.“

“This is our second time at this location ( we ate at a Mermaid in the East Village). Great addition to fine dining in Times Square which seems inundated with fast food and chain restaurants. We're fish lovers and Mermaid has lots of delicious options — crudo, ceviche, oysters, clams for appetizers, lots of fish and non fish entrees. We had a tuna entree that was wonderful. We plan on returning. Highly recommend.“

They primarily blend Japanese and French culinary elements to create an out-of-the-box and unforgettable dining experience.In 2023, due to disputes between the owner and the former chef, resulting in the departure of the ex-chef, they were removed from the Michelin three-star list, sparking considerable attention and comments from diners. From my recent dining experience at the restaurant, their removal from the Michelin three-star list does not imply that they no longer meet the standards of a Michelin three-star restaurant. Rather, it's because they are now operating as a "new restaurant" after reorganizing their chef team, which should be in a "grade pending" status. Personally, I feel that in the 2024 Michelin ratings, they have a very high chance of regaining Michelin star status, even if not immediately returning to three stars.Overall, this restaurant is highly suitable for diners interested in tasting fusion cuisine that blends elements from around the world, as well as for chefs in the food industry seeking new ideas. Additionally, the restaurant's service is excellent, even among fine dining establishments, as the staff seamlessly combine professionalism and friendliness. However, the waffle seems too soft and cannot effectively hold the uni; I almost dropped the uni while eating. Moreover, both the waffle and uni have a heavy sweet taste and soft texture, lacking impact. Perhaps replacing them with different bread and uni combinations would be better.3. While each seafood dish has excellent flavor, the seasoning and presentation seem somewhat repetitive, giving a sense of redundancy. Perhaps experimenting with more diverse elements and variations would be beneficial.4. The restaurant does not offer bread, a common feature in many European restaurants. Although bread may not be particularly expensive, I believe it is an essential part of French and many European restaurant cuisines. With bread, diners can dip it into the soup, creating a special dining experience and balancing the flavors of some heavier dishes.In conclusion, it was a very enjoyable dining experience. I hope the restaurant regains its Michelin star status in 2024 and continues to explore the path of fusion cuisine, breaking through the limitations of traditional rating systems and textbooks, and continuing to be a representative of New York cuisine and a unique restaurant in the world.“

“Food was supreme here. I had the raw clams, fresh and presented well. Cocktail sauce was done with care. My main was spaghetti and clams in tomato sauce with arugula salad and a touch of spring onions, that was a very fine detail. The effort was notable in the food. “We went for Thanksgiving, not expecting much. Understanding they would be busy at 7pm, we decided to take our chances and walk in. Super friendly service. We got a welcome eggnog, brilliantly cooked 3 course price fix menu, great service. There were some hiccups (soup came out crazy fast, while the drinks took the normal time. A little odd) loved that they had a kobe steak as arn option, very moist turkey too. Pumpkin creme bruleee was tasty-not too "pumpkiny". They even have us a free champagne with dessert. Really worth it“

“Came here for Restaurant Week back in January with some co-workers. We definitely enjoyed our meal. I ordered the octopus, the Branzino, lobster mac and cheese, and the tiramisu. Wasn't a fan a of the octopus. Flavor was good but wasn't a fan of the texture of the actual octopus. As for the Branzino, it was mouth watering. They give you the whole fish, I ate the whole thing. They definitely know how to make some good lobster mac and cheese as well. Full of flavor and good amount of cheese and lobster. Looking forward to another lunch there. Service was good and we didn't feel rushed.“

“Besides the fact that the service was excellent, from start to finish, the food was truly outstanding, beginning with a generous slab of parmesan cheese with bread at the beginning. I had the tomato soup, served piping hot as it should be, with melted cheese at the bottom of the bowl--wonderful touch! Had the Ramerino salad as a second course which was served with a light lemon/olive oil dressing--fantastic--followed by the spaghetti alla chitarra, which was great. The portions were generous throughout. If you like Italian food, you'll love this place--fresh, excellent ingredients beautifully prepared and plated.“

“I came here with my family and we enjoyed the food immensely. I had the lomo saltado and it was so delicious. One of the best I have had. My husband had the fish fritters (chicarron de pescado) which was so tender and fresh and light. I highly recommend this restaurant. We also ordered a plain hamburger for one of my sons who is picky and it was made exactly as he wanted. My other son ordered a salmon which was grilled to perfection. The restaurant is family owned and everything is made fresh when you order. The service was friendly, too. I couldn't recommend it enough.“
