“When I go into a new place without Yelping, it usually means my phone is low and/or I'm hangry, which was the case for today's 4:30 pm breakfast, and it was a delightful confluence of events. I enjoyed the pork chops with rice and beans, in an onion-laden sauce, and the cherry juice was refreshing. The service was outstanding. I'll definitely be back soon for pernil or mofongo.“

“I was there off peak so it was empty, but the atmosphere was still there. It's set up like a lounge and has a great living room feel. It looks great for Friday nights, sporting events etc...I ordered a Cuban and a Papaya smoothie. The Cubano was toasted to perfection with the right combo of ingredients, it was top notch. The hero is extra large, definitely alot if bang for the buck. The Papaya smoothie was phenomenal! Come here and enjoy!“

“This is our second time at this location ( we ate at a Mermaid in the East Village). Great addition to fine dining in Times Square which seems inundated with fast food and chain restaurants. We're fish lovers and Mermaid has lots of delicious options — crudo, ceviche, oysters, clams for appetizers, lots of fish and non fish entrees. We had a tuna entree that was wonderful. “Came here for Restaurant Week back in January with some co-workers. We definitely enjoyed our meal. I ordered the octopus, the Branzino, lobster mac and cheese, and the tiramisu. Wasn't a fan a of the octopus. Flavor was good but wasn't a fan of the texture of the actual octopus. As for the Branzino, it was mouth watering. They give you the whole fish, I ate the whole thing. They definitely know how to make some good lobster mac and cheese as well. Full of flavor and good amount of cheese and lobster. Looking forward to another lunch there. Service was good and we didn't feel rushed.“
