For my meal, I ordered a chicken Cesar wrap and it was sooooo good. The wrap is huge! I could barely finish one half. Will definitely be ordering here more often. Loved my smoothie and meal. “What an awesome discovery out of nowhere. We were in the area for a whole different reason and driving on the boulevard we found parking right in front of this place. Stepping in we were overcome by the sweetness of the menu as well as the two hostesses behind the counter. We decided to try a few things, when one of them mentioned that the loukoumades just came out so we went for that as well. I have to say the loukoumades were the highlight so fresh and tasted delicious. If we are ever in the area again this will be a must stop for us. Very cute place indeed.“

They’ve really nailed the curation of a cozy, inviting atmosphere, coupled with staff who are passionate about the food & drink (and will kindly provide detailed descriptions to all our questions)!And of course, the dishes were not only beautiful to look at, but also delicious and had such dynamic flavors. The spring ceviche’s red snapper tasted so fresh, and our table could not stop drinking up the citrusy « soup ». The eggplant was super hearty, with the gochujang flavor perfectly balancing out the bite. Also, the beet gnocchi was a 10/10. “Come for the space, there's a lovely enclosed patio in the back! Stay for the pizza and the drinks, both of which were surprisingly good. Be warned, however, that the menu is a novella. So many options, it's approaching overwhelming. If you like Neapolitan-style pizza, you'll definitely enjoy La Lanterna's. It was the right chewiness, and the toppings and sauce were tasty. I also had one of the many available adult beverages, opting for a hard coffee. It was excellent. The cheese and pate plate was good -- the bread it came with was well seasoned and had a nice crisp. But the presentation definitely leaves something to be desired, it definitely looked like an elementary school science fair project on the plate. Overall, good food, not too pricey, and a nice patio. Initially I was told I could only order food to go because someone was having a private party and they were prepping but then the man behind the counter walked me through the menu. He then suggested I have a seat and could eat in if I wanted. I chose to dine in and the food was fabulous. I got the bacon egg and cheese biscuit. They did not have the cheddar jalapeño biscuit I asked for but they added extra cheese to my sandwich to compensate. The biscuit was crunchy in the outside and soft on the inside. I'll definitely be coming back to try the chicken biscuit and all the different compound butters.“

“Took our puppy here and we had a blast. Got a chance to relax and not have to keep an eye on him while he socializes with other dogs/puppies. They have plenty of cleaning supplies and sanitizers if any dog goes to the bathroom inside. The food surprised me by how good it was. They also have an array of doggy toys, snacks and ice creams.“

“I came to this restaurant by chance, as I was searching for a kosher restaurant on the Lower East Side. I love lentil soup. As a graduate of the French Culinary Institute, I’ve always thought that my lentil soup was the best. I was wrong. Theirs is better.After the soup, I ordered the ravioli stuffed with artichokes. The artichokes were plentiful, and the ravioli was perfect. My friend ordered the lasagna. She couldn’t believe that it didn’t contain meat. It tasted like a traditional meat lasagna. At the owner’s suggestion, we shared the lemon tiramisu. It contained a lovely citrus flavor and it was light and airy, and we ordered a 2nd one.Randi, the proprietor, owns the historic Blue Moon Hotel, which houses the restaurant. He gave us a tour of the hotel. The room had a terrace with a view of the whole city. There was a lot of memorabilia from the time that these were apartments. Randi is also an artist. His art adorns the walls of the restaurant.If I could, I would give this restaurant 10 stars.“

Definitely on the trendier side, but still comfortable and warm.I ordered an iced taro latte and the lemon poppyseed waffle. The taro latte was on the sweeter side, but I still enjoyed it. The waffle was fun to eat, with the cream and strawberries. It was pretty filling too.Unfortunately the bathroom was out of service while we were there, but the rest of our experience was great! “I have wanted to visit the Sweets & Cafe Bakery for a long time. It is a few blocks away from my dentist, and I finally had the opportunity to visit last Friday, March 8, 2024. The service was excellent, and the two staff people who took and served my order were very professional, friendly and helpful. The cafe con leche was MUY DELICIOSO, and the ocho with guava and cream was also very tasty. The place was so clean, and the bathroom was also very clean and well-stocked, too. I look forward to returning as soon as I can.“

The baked ziti was really delicious, reminding me of my grandmom’s Italian cooking and much better than standard catering fare. The salad was very fresh with strawberries and a yummy tangy dressing, and the cheesecake was some of the best I’ve ever had. Also, when they needed to substitute the toffee topping on the cheesecake I ordered, they went above and beyond to find a suitable sub for us, offering lots of yummy alternatives (we went with pecan and salted caramel - YUM!).
