“Jim, the Maitre'D was absolutely fabulous! Three if us show up at 6:00. They are totally booked.. He squeezed us in at a perfect little table that he created for us. Everything was with a smile and graciousness. And then we had a surprise guest! So we squeezed her in also... once again Jim was fabulous...but then of course his assistant Steven was right by his side...he gave us impeccable service. The room filled up fast and there was a waiting line out the door. Excellent food! Exceptional service! Best of all the prices are unbelievably reasonable. Check it out. Don't think you will be disappointed.“

“Hasbrouck Heights pizza is the best around! We like their thin crust as well as the grandma's. Their pastas are also an incredible portion and great value for money. The staff is friendly and they always have fresh pies ready to grab a slice from or plenty of space in the dining room to order in.“

“Great Italian food and a decent menu, not much choice but not too much. It's located next to Post Office 34 and is very trendy. The view and service are great, but it's noisy as there isn't much to absorb the sound. We ordered focaccia, roasted peppers and pasta. Everything is great and super fresh.“

“Too bad there aren’t more stars to click on. As a Sicilian/Italian every time I go to an Italian restaurant I have to always settle for the close enough. Not this time at Piccola Cucina Estiatorio, 71 Thompson Street NYC. After seeing their extremely authentic Sicilian menu online I knew that it had to be the real thing. After easily reserving a table online we showed up with yes our hopes being very high. For the first time the food was everything I had hoped for. 1. Arancini: nicely crunchy and flavored. Not oily or old at all. 2. Grilled veggies: although simply presented they were really tasty and fresh. 3. Involtini: out of this world. Exactly made like in my town in Sicily. A Moist, tender, flavored with some really tasty mozzarella cheese, served on a nice bed of caponata. 4. Maccheroni alla Norma: finally my very favorite dish. I almost cried. Besides a fantastic pasta, rigorously cooked al dente, there was a more than generous amount of diced eggplant, obviously, with basil leaves, olive oil and everything the Mediterranean has so generously given to Sicily for thousands of years. It’s worth mentioning the more than welcome grated “ricotta salata” as a testimony to the high attention to detail of Chef Gioele. That was a dinner I will not easily forget. The last thing I want to say is that, according to the highly professional and attentive staff, almost every single ingredient in this restaurant is flown directly from Sicily including the very tasty cannoli filled with ricotta cheese. (The cheese flies frozen during shipping). Sorry for the long review. I only wanted to show my super happiness with this restaurant. ANGELO.“

“We found this gem of a bar/restaurant and visited five or six times. The atmosphere is amazing and the staff very professional and friendly. Eddie provided excellent service and Gabriel the owner is so welcoming and friendly and has time for everyone. The food was out of this world - particular mentions are Ravioli Zucca and the Brasato di Costolette di Manzo (short ribs to die for). The bomboloni (Italian doughnuts with chocolate and caramel sauces) is one of the best desserts I’ve had! We would definitely recommend this place. It’s in an excellent location opposite Central Park.“

“We've been to Casa Limone many times, usually for lunch. The Executive Lunch on weekdays is our choice every time. The portion is just right and the salmon crudo and soup are always great choices. My wife and I split dessert and the gianduja is wonderful. Service at Casa Limone is always terrific from bussers to servers. Casa Limone is our go-to whenever we look for lunch in midtown.“

“A friend told me about their Porchetta pop-up at lunchtime Thu-Fri-Sat and I had to try. Had the standard Porchetta sandwich, which was a very good size, served on fabulous fresh baked foccacia. The meat was very tender and the flavors were all wonderful. Already looking forward to next time!“

“Delightful spot to get together with friends or for a date night.Queue can be long but more flexible if you're open to outdoor seating. Just leave your name, number, and explore the neighborhood (stay close!).Food was more generous than expected without tipping into quantity over quality zone. Pasta had a nice chew, anchovy bruschetta was even more of a win than anticipated, and waiter was helpful when it came to wine choice.Service became a little more relaxed as the tables filled up and one group table seemed a bit indecisive. However, that's a matter of circumstance. All in all, good service.“

“This is simply a world-class restaurant. The food here is superb. The hospitality is the best I've experienced in the city in years, and possibly ever. Dennis et al, offer unparalleled service in a warm and unstuffy manner. The $75 price fix at lunch is easily the best value in town. “
“Old world styled service crafted for enjoyment & delivered to perfection. Superb Italian food w several preparations table-side. White table cloths & candles but not stuffy. We were lively and had a super memorable time. Table of 8. We will be back. Highly recommend East side location now on 46th street between 2 & 3. $$$“

“We dined early on Memorial Day to avoid a crowd and it worked! Service was very fast, but we were not rushed to leave. We had different pastas and the polenta—all were excellent and came on large portions. As usual, the dessert, cheesecake, was SUPERB!!“

“L’Artusi continues to be a solid standard in the Village for Italian. The bucatini, the picci, the cinnamon chocolate chip cookies, and the chicken are all consistent standouts for me. That being said, we had three appetizers last night (burrata, little gems, and the tuna crudo) which were all under seasoned. I would add the Cappeleti to that list as well. All could have used some salt, etc.The other part that just can’t be avoided is waiting even though you have a reservation. We had a 9:15, were on time, and sat down around 10pm!! Will likely be back, but there are also many other wonderful Italian spots in the Village….“

“Come for the space, there's a lovely enclosed patio in the back! Stay for the pizza and the drinks, both of which were surprisingly good. Be warned, however, that the menu is a novella. So many options, it's approaching overwhelming. If you like Neapolitan-style pizza, you'll definitely enjoy La Lanterna's. It was the right chewiness, and the toppings and sauce were tasty. I also had one of the many available adult beverages, opting for a hard coffee. It was excellent. The cheese and pate plate was good -- the bread it came with was well seasoned and had a nice crisp. But the presentation definitely leaves something to be desired, it definitely looked like an elementary school science fair project on the plate. Overall, good food, not too pricey, and a nice patio. Solid option!“

“I cannot say enough about how good the service, ambiance and OMG the food!! Being a life long New Yorker I was so happy that I took my family to this traditional delicious Italian Restaurant for my wife and daughter's birthdays. It's like taking a step back in time. “Have room for desert as you will be there for a hour or 2 talking with a nice atmosphere and delicious food. Recommend going after 6PM for the candles and a nice scenery of the restaurant. There's a bar, viewable kitchen, and prices can be expensive on your dish so careful on the buying. A recommended party of 3+ to sit and have fun as a late night out with friends. Really good customer service as they can engage chats and help with dishes if any allergies or issues.“

“Loved this hidden gem! We stumbled upon this once when we were craving authentic Italian, which seems to be rare in Manhattan nowadays. “I’m so happy our original Christmas Eve reservation was cancelled and we found this gem. It was perfect. Romantic ambience, beyond excellent service, food was delicious, drinks were strong. My boyfriend and I shared: Appetizers: -Seared scallops: I know right, scallops. Generic usually? But these were in an amazing sauce which was devoured with our side of bread. -Octopus carpaccio: Perfect amount of freshness to balance the rich scallops. Main: -The wood fired fish for two: they brought the fish out from the kitchen to show us the fish in flames and that was very cute and appreciated -Meatless Rigatoni: I seriously held on to this dish to the very last moments even though I didn’t have enough room to finish it lol I was obsessed with the sauce Dessert: - Panna Cotta: the balsamic reduction was something I did not expect with this dessert but it was magical“
