“The lunch specials are really reasonable. Hotpot makes these dumplings that look like biscuits, and they are soooo good. The fried chicken has a great taste. I am a brown stew person with extra cabbage with less rice. Love the food. I haven't tasted the oxtails, but I heard they are really good.Parking: Make sure you try the dumpling rolls and add some butter or jelly.”

“I go to the Roy's in Linden and the food is very good the oxtails, the stewed chicken, Mac and cheese, the yams are scrumptious, the potatoes salad is very tasty and i dont like potatoe salad, the fried chicken wings are deeelicious and to top it off the peach cobbler, sweet potatoes pie and the carrot cake is dangerous, just soOo gooood the place is small but always kept clean and the customers are coming in and out I went their one evening toward closing and they had nutin but oxtails left and that was a small amount which speaks volume but I really wanna mention and rate the service as this is what makes a good business and is just as important as good food I give Roy's an extra ☆☆☆☆☆ 5 stars for Ms Jay and Ms Shana the both of them are just lovely they both are professional with the customers and their communication is very tasteful they both are just pure aaaadorable I pray that you have nutin but increase ~ blessings endlessly ❤️”

“Walked in not realizing that there was no indoor seating. This was not an issue once we tasted the food however. It was delicious and I can confidently say the best barbecue that I have had while living in New Jersey. As an avid enjoyer of St Louis and memphis-style barbecue I think the scratch the itch. It appears that they do outdoor seating during warmer weather but there really isn't much to speak of inside. Prices for fair and I haven't found food like this anywhere else. Mexican corn was a unique treat.Vegetarian options: There are non meat options in their excellent sides menu, including the Mexican Street corn, mac and cheese, baked beans, macaroni and potato salad.”

I had heard good things about the food, from my friend, who owns Pro Braids next to Irvington Post Office. My son ordered a turkey and cheese sub. He is a picky eater( with new restaurants). Which is A1 in NYC.To my surprise I give this Pastrami Sandwich #1 In N.J.Bypass the old landmark store downtown Newark that sells Pastrami on Halsey st.There is a New King in town it's Abbys Deli. Just do it!You won't be disappointed the Pastrami and Rye was absolutely a delight to eat.This sandwich was delicious. Take my word for it.”
