“Bartender was great and very personable and was a great beginning . Bucatini pasta and oysters were delicious. Scallops were ok and as a chef the veal chop parmesan crusted was definitely a pork chop . I love pork but don't try to fool people, that is not ethical . As i said i'm an italian chef and the bone on the rack was definitely pork !! Not Cool , not sure what else to say but didn't expect this from La Grigila“

“I always order take out from this place but this was my first time eating inside and it was amazing. Our server Ashley did an amazing job and I felt bad having to keep asking her for everything but she was on top of it each time.She truly made our experience that much better.“

As an investor in restaurants I'm very critical when visiting any restaurant and not often impressed even with well known critically acclaimed restaurants. It's very rare when a place has truly incredible food with every appetizer and entree as well as first class VIP vibes for service. You could literally taste the passion and care put into every plate with beautifully prepared flavorful abundant meals. In fact, it was the first time in almost a decade I brought home leftovers as the meal was delicious and easily sufficient for two people. Our entire table raved about their meals and the attentive but not obtrusive service was always there to refill our wine and assist without any of us having to look up for service. The food alone would have made for a great night but what truly made it memorable besides the great waitstaff was the manager, Eli. When was the last time a manager, GM or owner greated you at your table to share a polite, interesting and passionate conversation about the food and why they love sharing this experience with their valued customers? He made our entire table feel like VIPs and made perfect recommendations for wine and dessert. It felt more like we were in someone's home as we were there for close to 3-1/2 hours talking, eating, drinking and laughing. The ambiance is warm and unpretentious and the memories of a great experience will certainly bring us back again.“

“The food here is fresh and really really delicious. The spicy chicken shish tawook is so tender and has just enough of a kick. The platter comes with 2 sides--I got the salad and the rice--both fantastic. I'm sure the fries (the other option) would have been just as good. The garlic dipping sauce is out of this world with such great flavor. The restaurant was not crowded, so the waiter only had 2 tables, so the service was pretty good. The mint iced tea was also light and delicious. I would definitely recommend this place if you enjoy authentic, fresh, deliciously prepared Lebanese food. A+. “We had a reservation and we were promptly seated. Our server was very nice and the food delicious. Again everything from the alcoholic beverages and entrees to the desserts. One disappointment was that I ordered the shrimp and grits which was supposed to come with bacon and chorizo, I asked for no chorizo and the dish came without both bacon and chorizo. The server was busy which I understand and wasn’t able to check on us while eating , so I ate most of my meal and alerted him at the end before we all ordered dessert. He apologized and said he would find out what went wrong but never followed up. I would never expect the meal to be free or anything like that, but maybe a simple free dessert or ten percent off the wrong prepared entree would be a nice gesture. Small differences matter especially when our bill was quite high. I’m sure we would return but when you are paying a premium for a good experience, something could have been done. Other than the small issue , a good experience.“

They were super fresh and delicious... favs were west coast (sorry NJ). Next, came the Parker rolls!!! Probably my favorite part of the meal, but then again, who doesn't like homemade, freshly baked rolls with buttered top and a touch of salt!!! Because everything looked so good, we opted for a bunch of other appys to start! The New Zealand angus beef bites were served with horseradish aioli and a Parker roll, the halloumi cheese was accompanied by orange slices, prosciutto, radicchio and dehydrated olives. The octopus was spectacular... crispy with romanesco sauce, fried chickpeas, cilantro and paprika breadcrumbs. Of course, we had to also try the OHS mussel pot... with chorizo, saffron, garlic cream, sun dried tomatoes... and an herbed garlic roll on top!!! LOVED THEM ALL! It's not often that so many different, but complimentary flavors are presented in each dish!!! We could have stopped our meals there and would have been pleasantly satisfied and full! Next, we chose a couple of the sirloin sandwiches with fries, and the squid ink pasta with Calabrian chili and Meyer lemon breadcrumbs!!! All was very good. The evening was finished with 3 of their delicious desserts... the lemon meringue tart was the perfect sweet with a pucker. The molten dark chocolate cake was decadent. And the trio of gelatos were each so uniquely flavorful and delicious! Wow!!! Given that 100 steps is a BYOB, it makes everything even more affordable! We had spectacular service in this beautiful restaurant with amazing food! It was quite a special evening!“

“Food was delicious but the service was really what I came to leave a review about... we were seated at a small table for two by the front door for our anniversary dinner. We begrudgingly accepted it but once our appetizers were served, the owner/head waiter asked us if we would like to move to a larger table that just opened up by the window - that really impressed me. Then, when dessert came, we were given a complimentary dessert with “happy anniversary” written on it. Not many places still do that so I must say Basilico is unique and we will def be back!“
