“I went there today with my mom and dad and had a great lunch.They had the oxtails and I had the red snapper steam fish. Both dishes were delicious. Very authentic in seasoning and presentation of the meals. Made me feel like I was back home in jam down. Real yardy style. We were very satisfied and the owners were very warm and inviting.“

“I had heard from my son and a friend about this restaurant and decided to check it out, with a friend. I ordered the fried chicken wings, candied yams, collards and Mac & cheese. My friend had the rasta pasta and j*** chicken. everything was delicious. We will be returning to sample more dishes.“

Well my favorite spots got shut down and I decided today was the day I’d finally order and it did not disappoint!!! I ordered the following : empanada de carne (beef), rellenos de papa (stuffed potato balls), a dessert guava and cheese empanada, the arroz con gandules (yellow rice and pigeon peas) with pernil (roasted pork) and the trifongo with pernil. This all hit the spot I was hoping it would! Also friendly staff. Whoever took my order over the phone was patient and nice. She told me it would be about an hour and food got here in less than that. Will def be ordering again!“

“I walking into this restaurant looking for a quick but fresh lunch. The space was very clean and orderly. The staff is attentive and personable. I ordered a burrito with pernil, corn salsa, pickled red onions and cheese. As a side, I got the chickpea and cucumber salad. I really have to say I was very impressed with the freshness and flavor of the food without being over seasoned. Next time I will remember to write a review before I devour all the food. ?“

“Delicious oxtail black mushroom rice plantains, jerk wings and Mac & cheese! I got it delivered. 3:09 got here at 3:32. I live 5 minutes away so that was great time! The only bad thing I gotta say is, o ordered while my wife was at the gym & I really wanted to eat it all! Lol reluctantly, I saved her half! Since coming back from NYC for summer vacation from college, I can say I am thoroughly impressed by this little shop, which absolutely rivals those in brooklyn and queens. “We drove 40 mns to Bon Appétit Caribbean on a Saturday afternoon. I was not disappointed!Great customer service.The food was fresh, super delicious, i ordered a large duri Djondjon with chicken, they gave me enough food to feed 2 people. The macaroni salad was great, duri djondjon was awesome, and the chicken was well seasoned.The next day i went, i got again a large duri Djondjon and fried turkey, Once again, everything was DELICIOUS. If you're in Irvington or close by, this is one spot that I'd definitely recommend! They have REAL SEASONED HAITIAN FOOD“

“I visited Sashey's for the first time on April 23 and I must say the food I ordered (curry goat with rice and peas and a brown stew fish) was excellent! In addition, the customer service was on point. I definitely will return again. Take my word, if you want good, authentic Jamaican food, Sashey's is the place.“

“We went in during Hot Rods and Harleys event in Rahway. Found out the owners are Antiguan, so the food is slightly spiced differently than Jamaican food. We sampled the curry goat, oxtails, jerk chicken, cabbage, mac and cheese, and rice and beans and wow! Having lived in a Carribean neighborhood in Brooklyn for many years, this is as close to that taste of home as I have gotten since moving to NJ 5 years ago! Meat was tender and flavorful. Service the great! The young lady behind the counter was very welcoming and kind. The atmosphere was decorated with traditional pictures and remembrance of the culture. They are expensive, compared to Bk and Newark, but it's Rahway and pretty much one of the only restaurants for this cuisine in the area. I would highly recommend!“

“I love coming to this place every time I visit Newark, New Jersey. The food reminds me of the motherland Nigeria. I love the fact they have special soups for everyday of the week…Mon-Fri and they all taste amazing. I do recommend their Efo-Riro you can never go wrong with that meal.
