“So I’ve been wanting to try the food from here for a couple years now but since it was a couple towns over I always just stuck with local Spanish spots. Well my favorite spots got shut down and I decided today was the day I’d finally order and it did not disappoint!!! I ordered the following : empanada de carne (beef), rellenos de papa (stuffed potato balls), a dessert guava and cheese empanada, the arroz con gandules (yellow rice and pigeon peas) with pernil (roasted pork) and the trifongo with pernil. This all hit the spot I was hoping it would! Also friendly staff. Whoever took my order over the phone was patient and nice. She told me it would be about an hour and food got here in less than that. Will def be ordering again!“

“I grew up in an area where there are a variety of restaurants. I expect a certain taste and experience, whether that is fair or not. I understand most Spanish BUT can't speak a lick which has led to some interesting times in my life..lol. But back to the food. I normally order the pork chops special or steak with onions. For my sides plantains black or red beans with rice. Though I prefer the black. They also make delicious juices on the spot. There is always a good portion of food served. Porkchop special comes with 4 chops. Believe it or not they have a sit down area in the back. I can't speak to prices. To me good food costs what it costs AND this IS good. But it seems more than reasonable to me. They also have food already cooked and waiting if you do not want to wait. Friendly people and move quickly with a friendly atmosphere. Spanish speaking but there are English speakers there and definitely at the cashier spot.“

“Wow!...havent had such a fresh tasting Dominican food in ages....definitely worth eating here. Will come back and recomend this spot. Had the standard domican flag dish rice, beans and stew chicken and flavor was on point..both beans and chicken stew took me back as if i was eating in the Dominican Republic. “When I first came here, I didn’t know what to expect. I think the guy at the register was Dominican I asked him to put me on the top seller. He didn’t really do that. He just pointed me to the menu. I didn’t know what to expect my first time, but I tried pancakes with eggs toast because I wasn’t sure if the sausage was pork. A cheese and a beef empanada and a egg and cheese sandwich. “But I was blown away by the flavor. The food was so fresh.” 5 star for the food. I was expecting some more eggs with my pancakes, platter, and toast, but the food is good.“

Check them out for your next event!While they have seating available, I wouldn't plan on anything intimate. It's a take out place that you can sit down if you like.Parking: There are meters but nobody comes by to check. Street parking available in VERY limited supply. “I Uber eat my dinner and unfortunately they forgot to put my side empanadas. I contacted the restaurant and not long after someone who actually works for the restaurant came and hand-deliver my empanadas. If it wasn’t for my son who loves empanadas I would’ve left it alone but of course I had to contact the restaurant because that’s the only thing he would eat but I have nothing negative to say about this restaurant I have been going there for years now and they go beyond.“

“I finally had a chance to try this spot. Sometimes as a African American you have trouble in places but not this place. It was clean and the service was friendly. I ordered 2 things the stewed chicken both were ample and good. The price for both platters was affordable. Good spot to check out. Ps get some pepper steak on the menu.“

“Very cute place. Not the usual Dominican Restaurant. I liked the beef and pork empanadas, the cold coffee and chicharrones con tostones. I also tried the tres leches birthday cake and it was delicious. The service is superb, very friendly, and attentive.“

“My fiance picked up some food for us and it was absolutely wonderful. He had the pig feet stew over rice and I had the pork and rice. The pork was tender and seasoned so well. The rice and peas were delicious. This was my first visit to NY and I will definitely be back next time.“

“The people are nice and the food was delicious. I gave it four stars due to some staff having inappropriate conversations in front of guests. I would not consider it a restaurant, per se, due to its small size and very plain decor which does not add to the ambiance.“

It was very authentic very large empanadas price was $14 about $2 per empanada. Favorite was beef.. Chicken could have been better and cheese was cheesin’ nice draw to it! It is next to a 711 kind of confusing where to enter however entrance is located on side street.“

“I just had the Carne guisada con arroz blanco y habichuelas rosadas to drink Fresa batida lunch special ( The beef stew with rice and beans and a strawberry milkshake. The beef stew was absolutely delicious almost like mom use to make the beef was very tender and tasty and the milkshakes is very good it could use a little more strawberry. The delivery was scheduled for 6:45pm - 7:15pm it arrived before 7pm and still warm. I will definitely will order from here again.“
