“One of the fee places in the area that you can make a reservation. Food is the focus based on its affiliation with the culinary school. Not a large menu, but they do a good job with the each item. Almost everything comes with fingerling potatoes. Perhaps a side of mashed potatoes would provide a nice alternative.“

“You have to try the ranch fries they come with potato wedges but no get them with regular fries. To much potato with the wedges and takes the other flavors away with just potato. Food is amazing especially the scallops wrapped in bacon, and the seafood bisque. Been coming here for years and will continue with many more years.“

The spring drink menu was great, the lavender martini is a must try! Staff is always friendly and attentive. The piano player is always a great touch as well. Highly recommend you try Old Causeway for dinner and drinks if you're staying at LBI because it beats most restaurants on the island and is the only thing I'll come back over the bridge for while staying at LBI.“

“I’ve been dying to try this place since seeing it featured on Triple D and it did not disappoint. Great atmosphere and the food was off the charts. Definitely try the snapper turtle soup. I also had the chipotle shrimp salad sandwich which is a home run.“

“We have not been here since COVID, so we decided to stop by. Things are pretty much the same, except that they expanded everything, and it looks very cool. “The Hud is the best bar. To date, it is the only bar I will even consider frequenting. On or off the island it's the best bar around. The atmosphere is fun and the staff is so friendly and accommodating. You can't help but feel welcome the moment you walk through the door. From the shuffleboard table to all the things hanging from the walls there is so much to look at and enjoy. It has the vibe that many others try hard to imitate but seldom do they succeed. It's the dive bar that isn't trying hard to be cool. It just freaking is. Live a little.....try it out and see for yourself...“

“I had the Cajun Grilled Octopus and Seafood Bisque both were delicious. The Bisque was hearty, more like a chowder, but absolutely delicious! My wife had the Cobb salad, the chicken was cubed, tasty, salad full of crumbled blue cheese and a really good blue cheese dressing . Add the view and drinks, winner winner Octopus dinner.“

“My boyfriend and I spent the weekend in LBI and were scouring where to eat on a quiet February night. A Yelp search led us to the Delaware Avenue oyster house. When we walked in you would have thought it was the middle of summer because this place was hoppin! Always a great sign if you ask me. We waited about ten minutes for a table. This restaurant is mostly just a large bar with a few tables near the windows. It's really cozy and has a fun vibe. Everyone was immersed in conversation and looked like they were having a great time. They have a really great menu with plenty of variety. We started with the fish tacos and the crab fried rice. As I write this I'm still dreaming of this crab fried rice....it was THAT good. The couple next to us referred to it as crack fried rice and I can totally see why. So much flavor and a nice amount of crab!! We then finished up with a pizza as true NJ residents do. It was thin and crispy and perfect. I can't wait to come back in the summer! They seem to do some nice happy hour specials so I'm looking forward to giving them a try!“

“I’ve eaten here twice now. One time with a wait to sit, the other time we sat right away but both times the restaurant was packed. Be prepared to wait if you go here for dinner but I can’t stress enough how much it’s worth the wait. We’ve tried several items off of their menu now across the food spectrum, from pulled pork, to pizza, sushi, and burrata; everything here is phenomenal. Great atmosphere with live music. Like I said, the place is busy so if you’re looking to have a nice quiet dinner this isn’t the spot. No one leaves an empty plate here and if there happen to be leftovers, you’re taking them home. From someone who hates waiting to be seated at restaurants and would rather move on to the next place, I’d gladly wait over an hour here. Also regarding parking, plenty of street parking within a block so no issues.“

“We’ve been to Delaware Oyster House which is also good but the outdoor space here at a table outside (not the bar) is a good experience. We shared a seafood platter of broiled fish, shrimp and crab cake with fries and a dozen oysters both as shared snacks. It was HH so oysters were $1 and the draft margaritas were strong and wonderful! Pro Tip: bring your pickleball set and play a round on the adjacent block pre or post visit.“
