“My boyfriend and I visited here for some quick late night food and we arrived shortly before closing. The overall atmosphere was great and the decor was aesthetically pleasing. We ordered everything at once because the kitchen was closing and they still pacer out our meal. The service was impeccable and all of the food and dessert was amazing. “A short day and a half stay in Williamsburg/Brooklyn on the way to Berlin. Rolo’s was certainly my most anticipated spot on this tour after seeing their fantastic Eater video and it certainly didn’t disappoint.Their Double Cheeseburger with the $3 Bacon Addition was the most flavorful and wonderfully textured burger I’ve had in years. The pickled pepper made for an interesting off-beat accompaniment. The polenta bread was simple but delicious. A layer of polenta with olive oil and sea salt, could eat that all day.I also ordered a Strawberry Passionfruit Punsch, which was served in a small goblet. Nice blend of rum, strawberry cordial, passion fruit and lime tiki bitters.There are quite a few more dishes I’d like to try at Rolo’s. Unfortunately for me, Rolo’s in in a different time zone. But I’m glad I got a chance to try it.“

I used google form to reserve a table and just added a note to ask them for help in surprising my wife with a nice welcome.But what they did to both of us is the experience we will remember forever.From the moment we entered they started with those little gestures like compliments from the house for our anniversary: champagne, a special course from the chef, flowers with special note.O yeah, I forgot about the food: it was so delicious, we looked through the menu by ourselves before arriving at the restaurant, also read comments here, and had an idea what to eat, but then when talking with our waiter, she suggested us few tweaks and that was so, so good recommendation.So, we started with Jonah Crab with Avocado and Yuzu Kosho, then the chef sent us Escargots with Parsley, Pernod, and Fennel, and for the main course my wife took Skate Wing with Meyer Lemon and Brown Butter Sauce and I Duck Breast with Roasted Beets and Cherries.The desert was easy to choose: Profiteroles made from heaven.There were so full of discrete attention and signs of gestures toward us, that even in a full-packed restaurant we felt like we were the only one.THANK YOU TO ALL STAFF, to our dear waitress, and the amazing chef and his team.You deserve 10 stars, not just 5.“

“This is a great place for a first date, dinner out with a large group, or brunch. Food was quite good. Dishes are made to share. The bread basket alone is a meal and sooo delish! Ceviches were well done. Wine list is very well done. It has quality wine for all budgets and has been put together with a more modern approach. Kudos to the beverage director! The space is big - high ceilings, with nice lighting, fun lounge tables for groups and a nice circular bar. I would close those curtains as what's on the outside is industrial, not worth looking at; and all those car lights and fluorescent lighting from buildings and such intervene with the nice ambience inside. Service was welcoming and warm, however something was missing. Dishes came out of the kitchen very slow. Our waiter got our order wrong. We ended up with a dish we didn't order (it was comped) and didn't get the dish we wanted. Perhaps the service level is why this nice space was half full on a Saturday night. Are they trying to match the number of reservations to the serving capacity of the kitchen? Overall an intriguing experience though and the price is just right. I would like to try Hav & Mar again. It has potential and if they fix the service and fine tune the ambiance, they might become a top dining destination.“

“Innovative Japanese food in a very welcoming space. Try the Japanese breakfast available all day which reminded me of Tokyo. The pancake soufflé is to die for and a must have. We highly recommend.Parking: Street parking on weekend easy.Kid-friendliness: Lots of options for the kids. Start with the soufflé.“

For three people, we shared some appetizers —— the seeded bread (7/10), scallops 7.5/10, duck bun (6/10), bucatini (7.5/10).The entrees were much better than the appetizers. Got the halibut, bbq pork, and duck breast. All were delicious, but the duck was definitely the best. Would come back for the main courses. “I wouldn’t call Katana a dive bar, but on a Tuesday night it felt like a great neighborhood bar. Relaxed atmosphere. Was surprised at how small it was but that added to the chill vibe. I bet on a Thirsty Thursday and the weekend that all changes, but the bartenders and the craft cocktails will be just as great.“

“Antidote has some drawbacks to be sure, the biggest one being that it is pretty hard to get a table there, but the food is outstanding--with a lot of options--and when the bill comes, it always seems like a pretty good value. I do wish their drink menu was a little stronger, and if you aren't there for the last seating, you might get rushed out, but that doesn't stop us from going often. The hidden strength of this place is that the menu is so extensive, much more so than Birds of Feather, the closest rival, both in distance and cocenpt. That makes it easier to find exactly what you want. For example, there are a few different fish dishes: steamed whole, a couple different ways, stewed in spicy broth, and probably others. We usually end up with one of these. As indicated above, I wish the drink menu was more extensive. It's a cool place too, and always lively, especially on weekend night. But it can be drafty right up front.“

“I never realized this place was so close to where I lived. I heard the Indian spices were a nice twist to the dishes they served. Started with the dosa, the chutneys were good. The steak was very buttery, but I didn't get much unique flavor aside from the peppercorn. The fries that came with it were great, nice and crispy. The jerk chicken was tender, but not as spicy as I would have thought. I did like the pickled vegetables to change up the flavors. Interesting concept, but I think they could have taken a little more risk with the flavors.“

“wanted to check out a speakeasy while in town and came across the newsroom on tiktok, due to their “stuff your own empanada experience”. nestled in a quiet area of queens, with easy access.lovely speakeasy ambiance with an aerialist performer & live vocal performances. the music they play is all jazzy covers of hit songs, so it fits the vibe so well.the empanadas and the filet mignon taquitos, were so tasteful and delicious.they give you a very decent amount of time to be there, in order to make room for more people. our server Alberto couldn’t have been kinder and more accommodating to our preferences & needs while there.would recommend this to anyone looking for a laid back speakeasy outside of the hustle and bustle of the major city or times square.“

The par-boiled egg was the best I've ever had, however they only put a half in your $18 ramen. The service was quick and the restaurant had a dim light atmosphere with quiet a environment.“

We were welcomed by very polite and courteous gentleman and even though we didn’t have a reservation (we didn’t know we needed one) they were able to accommodate us with no hesitation. “On a recent Saturday night, my friends and ventured to Le Rock for dinner. I always eyeball the menu before trying a new restaurant and I was all in for the spiced duck. It was some of the best duck that I've ever had. It was so flavorful, tender, and cooked to perfection. My friends and I started off with a few cocktails and appetizers. I ordered the escargot, and my friends the barbajuans, falafel, and carrottes rapees, and of course the pommes frites. For the main course, my friends went for the halibut. The three of them were all members of the clean-plate club. I love my desserts and I love it even more when I get a little taste of everything. Luckily for me the dessert menu has Les Mignardises. I ordered for the table thinking "hmmm...maybe one of my friends will pass and I'll get more!" There's nothing more fun for me than tiers of bite-sized sweet goodness. Lots of variety to make everyone happy (macarons, cannelés, fruit gelees, opera cake etc.) If you're stuffed from dinner, this will satisfy your sweet tooth without making you loosen that belt or wish you wore a flowy dress to dinner instead of that bodycon fit.“

“Wend to Avoca without a reservation on a Saturday morning, we were grateful to get a table without having to wait too long; but then the table turned out to be in the aisle between the entrance to the kitchen and the bathroom on a very tight and on the way spot. I feel like that table should not exist at all since it was just a risk of getting hit by trays and being uncomfortably on the way. For food, I had a coffee, a single mimosa (bottomless is also an option but was not feeling it at the time) and the avocado toast which was delicious and very filling. The service was polite but a bit slow , which is expected given how packet the restaurant was on a Saturday morning. Would recommend and be back , with a reservation next time!“

The food was phenomenal and since it was our first time there, the staff were very helpful helping us pick items.We ended up getting the whipped ricotta dip, babaganoush, salmon belly skewer, hanger steak, and shaksuhka.
